They told me the proper fix was a new bumper, which I'm sure is true, but when I explained that my current budget was more in the "please make this stop hanging off the car" range, they worked with me. They were clear that reattaching damaged plastic isn't the same as magically making it new again, but they didn't push me into spending more than I wanted to. They also gave me the usual list of other things my aging Civic could use, but it felt much more like a doctor saying "keep an eye on this" than a mechanic saying "your car will explode by Thursday unless you give me your credit card." That makes me much more likely to actually come back and have those things addressed later. Then I picked up the car and discovered they had CLEANED IT. Not a courtesy wipe-down. My car was gross. They vacuumed it, cleaned the carpets, got grime off the steering wheel, washed the exterior, and somehow made it smell like a vehicle owned by a responsible adult. Bumper looks great, car is cleaner than it has been in a very long time, everyone was friendly, and I left feeling like I got a great deal. Five stars. Would accidentally damage car near them again.
