I highly recommend this auto repair shop. About two months ago, I brought my 2011 BMW in because of…read morea cracked radiator that was causing coolant to leak. During that visit, they recommended that I replace my timing chain. After having such a positive experience with the radiator repair, I decided to move forward with the timing chain service as well. While working on my car, they also found a few other worn parts, including a hose and spark plugs. Because I had delayed several repairs over the years, they helped identify what needed attention to keep my car running reliably. They were able to get the parts at a great price and worked with me on the labor costs, making the overall repair very reasonable. What really stood out was the communication. When I called to check on my car, the mechanic was still working on the timing chain repair and offered to send photos of the progress. He also shared his Instagram, where he posted stories explaining the repair process and showing exactly what was being done. It was helpful to see the work in real time and better understand the repairs. I actually found this shop because I used to go to the gas station nearby, and I'm very glad I gave them a chance. My BMW is running great now, and I truly appreciate the honesty, fair pricing, and quality service.

The most recent issue I brought my car here for was an airbag code. They replaced a part and I was…read moretold the issue was fixed. The same code returned several days after picking up the car. Next, I was told the SRS module needed to be replaced. I had to pick up the car and return it again multiple times because I needed the car and each time, I was told that the module had been installed and just needed to be reprogrammed. Each time I dropped off the car, I was given a false promise about when it would be ready. This week, I dropped it off on Monday and as of Thursday, no progress had been made, though I was promised it would be ready this week. I understand that some repairs can be complex, but they need to be honest with customers about the time that the work will take. If you know something will take a month, you can decide accordingly when to drop off the car. I'm also not convinced the work would ever have been completed if I hadn't given up and made an appointment with the dealership instead. When I called a different shop I was told that you typically need to bring a car to the dealership to have a module reprogrammed because other shops don't have the tools or software to do it. I wish Galicia Auto Repair would have told me they couldn't do the work rather than wasting my time. I wouldn't even be leaving this review if not for one other thing. When I called the shop yesterday to get an update on the status of my car (since they never call back with updates, despite promising to), the phone was answered by an "AI receptionist". The system responded to "agent" by offering to connect me to a person, but when it did, I got a recording saying that no one was available, with no way to leave a message. This happened ten times over two days, all during business hours. Eliminating any way to reach a person by phone during business hours just shows how much contempt they have for their customers.

It's been 3 months since I've had my Audi A8L water pump replaced here. Everything seems to be…read morefunctioning well, so it's time to do a review on this establishment. I've been driving Audis for over 30 years. I used to fix my own Audis until I get older and Audis are more complex, I bring them to dealers. Never used any independent Service Shop. My Audi A8L had a defective design with the water pump that failed after 80k miles. Audi did not do it for free so the cost at dealership was $4200 for the complete job. I was fed up and found this place by google. I got a quote from Daniel and he seemed to know what's needed to be replaced for this problem. The estimate came with all the parts listed although he missed an important part that cause CEL came right after the job was done and I was charged 1 hr labor of $210 which should be included in the main job. Anyhow, the place is small, only a few lift bays for cars, the shop needs to park excess cars at some parking lot, at least mine was parked in the shop the whole time. Aturo is the person who's actually did the work, he seems to be knowledgable about cars and know how to use all the diagnostic equipments to find faults and the skill to replace parts for the car. Everyone seems to be nice and pleasant. Did it save me much from the dealer I had it at, not really, I finally paid close to $4000 for the job. The labor cost here is $210/hr and dealer is $310/hr but for some reasons parts here seems to be more expensive hence the cost came out almost the same. BTW, they automatically charge extra 3% onto the bill which you can save this 3% by using debit card instead of credit card. It's nice that they have all the parts saved for you to look at or take them home. The turbo solenoid failed with a new part, had to bring it back to get a different one, at least I didn't get charged for it LOL. At least with the dealer, they would check to make sure it works and have another one ready so I don't have to come back again. It's farther for me to drive here than Audi of Fremont, so if the price is not much different, I would just bring the car to Audi of Fremont and get free car wash instead. Yes, they did do a good job for fixing the water pump. Yes, I would bring it again for maintenance or something easy. Next time they should put the turbo solenoid in the package so they don't have to charge labor again because looking at the part, I could replace it in 10 minutes and not $210/hr.

I reached out for a quote, and at first everything seemed promising. They responded quickly, gave me a price I was satisfied with, and the person I communicated with sounded motivated to help me get my car looked at and repaired. I was told that once the part needed for my specific repair arrived, they would contact me. That call never came. After waiting and hearing nothing, I decided to go to the shop in person, hoping someone there could finally give me answers. But when I arrived at the address listed, there was no auto repair shop at all -- just regular single‑family houses. I was stunned. I tried calling the number they provided, and it picked up on the first ring only to say, "This person is not accepting calls at this time." I even reached out again through the Yelp app, explaining my confusion and asking why communication had suddenly stopped. I saw that my message had been read, yet no one bothered to respond. What people don't understand is that you never know what someone is going through. I'm a domestic violence survivor still dealing with PTSD, and the fear of being found or unsafe is something I live with every day. My car is my lifeline -- it's how I move, how I protect myself, how I stay prepared if I ever need to leave quickly. On top of that, I just lost my father. I'm grieving, I'm trying to keep myself together, and now my car has been out of commission for weeks. I'm exhausted from being let down, ignored, misled, and treated like my time and safety don't matter. Their lack of follow‑through, professionalism, and integrity didn't just inconvenience me -- it added to the stress I'm already carrying. This business is unreliable, and my experience with them was absolutely unacceptable.
