I usually like Dos Bros better than Moes or Salsarita so I decided to stop into this location for the first time today with my son. They were out of items on the line and when I requested that added to my quesadilla, she replied they would have to cook it. At other locations if they ran out or were getting low, someone would already be cooking it. I only saw this girl and a guy in the back so maybe they were short handed today. I may be wrong but I thought they had a red medium salsa. What they call mild sauce is actually pico not salsa. Then they had a verde salsa that she said was the medium and the only red salsa was hot. I got the "medium" but it is verde salsa and does not taste like medium red salsa. Every table was dirty, perhaps they just got through the lunch hour rush so I overlooked that. So I may try this one again because I was surprised that it did not live up to the other Hixson and Chattanooga locations. Maybe I caught them on an off day. We will have to wait and see. read more

I like it. End of review. JK. So you've been to this place before, it is a Chipotle, it is a Qdoba, it is a Mojo, or my favorite Pancheros (none in the area so you're out of luck). So this review is comparing it to the others. Pancheros is the best because they press your tortilla fresh in front of you after you order. This takes the taste to a whole new level. Everyone else uses bagged tortillas and you can tell. I think I like Dos Bros second best because their tortilla was closest to Pancheros in flavor, even if it came out of a bag. It was thin, chewy, flexible, stretchy, very nice. The fillings were all good and I think adequate portions compared to the other restaurants. I definitely did not leave hungry and I'm a big guy. The meat was moist and flavorful. Moist. Sometimes these places have dried out meat. No bueno. The hot sauce and queso were all good. My wife had a bowl, I had a burrito, we got a kids chicken quesadilla for my little girl. The kids meal is my only concern. A good amount of chicken on it but it was very small and I thought for the price it should be bigger. Then I realized kids meals come with chips and queso and drinks. I didn't see an option to order a kids meal without chips and drinks, I would have liked to. I don't always want to feed my kids chips. Or sub for something healthy like a little cup of beans. So she stated as soon as we walked in they are closing at 7pm. mind you it was only 6:08pm...we were coming from an all day cheerleading competition so we're were pretty hungry. Ordered the sub par burritos and it went down hill from there. My daughter ordered a shredded beef burrito, took half a bite and told me it didnt taste right. So we tried to return it to the "manager on duty," after explaining to them that it didn't taste right...after making the burrito over for her using a different meat, she then says she cannot give her an exchange..mind you, we just spent 50.00 on FOUR terrible burritos. Stopped here on a Saturday night on the way home from Atlanta and it was closed 40 minutes earlier than their posted hours. We've always been hesitant to try it and the one time we decided to give it a shot, it was disappointing. It would have been courteous for them to explain to us why they closed early. Our food was fine; it's nothing we would go out of our way to have, but it was fresh and ok. The restaurant was clean. But the cost was high, so I doubt I would return. It works out to $15 per person if you want chips and a drink with your taco or burrito. If you tip you can expect to spend $35 for two people; it didn't feel like that kind of meal price point to us as you wait in line to order and make your own drinks and get your own refills and bus your table. Actually standing here at the moment, and I am pretty furious. The line personnel sprinkled about a tablespoon of cheese and the charged me $1.10 for extra cheese after she added the cheese. Also got charged extra for sour cream. I guess the new policy is to be stingy with the toppings and charge extra when we ask for more? I used to come here at least three times a week because I can omit things like rice easily, but this killed it for me. Officially not a customer any more. Dose Bros has good fresh food. The owners are so kind and personable. They really look out for their community. My coworkers that I from Community Hospice love coming and talking with them and enjoying their food. I tried Dos Bros for the first time in the food court while shopping at Hamilton Place Mall 2-3 years ago. I was not impressed. The food had flavor, but did not taste fresh. I ate it because I felt hungry, but I wasn't interested in trying Dos Bros again any time soon. Fast forward to today.. I decided to try this location downtown. I placed an order for pickup through the ChowNow website. I have to say, this time the food was DELICIOUS! I was very pleased with the food, and the service including the service of the ChowNow website. Why not 5 stars? Well, like so often these days the price of getting food from a restaurant is a real hit. I got a bowl & a quesadilla; no combos; no drinks. Cost me about $30. I can handle that, but a lot of people can't handle dropping $20-$30 to have a takeout meal. It's high enough for me to take notice. I want employees to be paid a living wage; and I want quality, and value for my money. I can't help but wonder if there's a way to do that without having the prices as high as they so often are. read more

I've been here like 10 times since they've opened and can't believe I haven't written a review yet! This particular Dos Bros is excellent! This place generally has a line and for good reason. Food is always hot and the faces behind the counter are always friendly and efficient. There was only once where I felt the wait was a little too long but there was a huge togo order they had to fill out which explained that. Otherwise, the wait is never too long. Love Dos Bros! However, this location specifically gives you one tiny bag of chips when you buy for nachos. Then charges you extra for a second tiny bag. Doesn't make sense because every other location gives you to bags, which is how much you need for the bowl. So this was a good restaurant, but not really more than good from an experience standpoint. The burrito was way big enough for me and my wife to split and be stuffed. The meats were very good (had the shredded beef. Recommend.), and the ingredients were fresh. Nacho chips seemed "corporate" but maybe they weren't. This is a minimalist Moe's. And while it was good, there is no compelling reason for me to make a return visit. And I won't. I'm not sure what the hook is supposed to be since the motif has been done. More than twice. The quality of this DosBros isn't near as good as the Cleveland location. Food is always running out or they're literally giving scraps from the bottom of the barrel. One time the staff tried to serve me frozen lettuce for my salad. I'm not sure if the staff wasn't well trained but no one ever seems to know how to make anything. I have been here several times and every time I have found that the service has been subpar. The staff that creates your meal is less than friendly. Tonight however I ordered a quesadilla for the first time here and took it to go (I live 3 minutes away.) when I got home it was completely soggy to the point that it was basically disintegrated and was inedible. I did call to ask if it had maybe been packed incorrectly and was told that "oh that always happens and it always gets soggy". I asked if he normally informed customers that they were basically buying something that they cannot eat and it didn't sound like it really mattered to them. Anyway, if you do decide to go I guess stick to the bowl where the tortilla can't get soggy. Likely will think twice before returning- Mojo Burrito is right around the corner and everything I've ever taken to go there arrives at home just as delicious as if I was eating it in the store. read more

HOWEVER, the meat portion sizes have been getting smaller and smaller. I now have to order double chicken to get the same amount as other locations or when it just opened. This location seems to stay clean, but the food is not nearly as fresh as the others and the chips aren't either.
