If you happen to be in Croydon, you have to try this super Indian restaurant. Typical south Indian cuisine.
The interior reminds me of restaurants in south India. The food, well spicy, tasty and cheap. If you happen to be around during the lunch they have a special lunch menu for 3.50 pounds (veg) and 4.50 (non-veg). It consists of 10 curry's, rice and Indian bread.
One must try their king fish fry and crispy fried vegetables. They make good lentil curry and nice garlic spicy prawns. If you have ever tried "dosa" they are kinda crepe but made of rice and have various fillings - a must.
The mango lassi (mango buttermilk) is worth trying too!!! I still like the mango lassi at Tayyeb (whitechapel). They serve alcohol and they are usually packed on sundays. read more
