I can't tell you how the food was......I NEVER GOT SEATED. I had worked overnight and went for breakfast after a long shift and was starving. When I arrived, the waitress started to seat me. I joked with her to please not put me "in the corner". She then told me to pick a table....I then repeated that I was joking and said anywhere was fine....she REFUSED TO SEAT ME and told me to find a table. Just ok Mexican food. Not horrible but not great either. Just ok. If in Georgetown after 3:00 pm weekdays or 11:00 am weekends do yourself a favor and go to El Monutmeno. SO much better, more expensive but worth it. Much nicer surroundings, too. read more

My family and I went here on Saturday night about 7pm, and this happened. They had the nerve to seat someone who had been there for less time than us, we had already been there for about 30 minutes, and when we complained about it to the manager were told that there were still 3 ahead of us. First I'd like to say the food is very good but the service was very bad. The station behind our table had something spilled on the floor instead of cleaning it up, they covered it with probably 20 or so napkins. Visiting my daughter at Southwestern Poor college students (she and her roommate) never get to go out to eat. So we treated them to their choice. Dos Salsas is a kinda sketchy looking place at the corner of Main and ??? University I think. And it was pretty good. I agree w another reviewer who raved about the pork en verde $9. (Thanks for the tip) It's offered as an appetizer, but should be an entree. Green chiles w shredded pork served with black beans and tortillas. Spicy, fresh, great texture. Loved this dish. I had fish tacos $10, BF had ceviche $13, girls had enchiladas $8 and veggie relleno $10. All very good. A little pricy, but so much food. Split if you can. We came nowhere near eating it all. Again out with the GF and her Father for breakfast. This is their favorite place. I guess I am just OK about Tex-Mex. I am such a green chile hound that if I can't have it with Mexican food I am disappointed. The Dad had his favorite huevos rancheros and the GF had a breakfast taco (aka breakfast burrito in Colorado). I had a standard 2 egg bacon and toast breakfast. In the Past 6 to 8 Months, on multiple occasions we have complained to the Manager Mr.Elias that the service has been slipping away and he has done nothing to address or fix issues, As much as we enjoyed visiting the restaurant due to its location, being close to our home, at the same time we have resisted from dining in because the Service truly has been lot lower than our expectations, and our expectations are NOT as high. Since the Manager failed to address, we decided to contact Cedar Park location and verbally addressed our unhappiness & tried to convey, our experiences, because the Manager would not deliver our grievances to the Owner. On March 9th 2017 we had a Phone conversation with the Cedar Park Mgr. around 2PM, on same evening we went to Dine in at Georgetown location and we sat at the outside Patio, We were served Chips & Salsa, once that ran out, we were trying to seek attention of our Waiter, who did not pay much attention to began with, someone else served us the Chips, and when our waiter came to our table we said could you please serve us more chips, our bowl has been empty a while, he said " I didn't know you guys were that hungry" I was shocked by his statement in the same context he blurted several "expletive" cuss words, at that point our son got up and went in to seek Managers attention, while all this was going on , we felt Threatened and uncomfortable" because the Waiter decided to flip a Finger on top of all the undue comments he made to us, walked by our table with his Chest floundering and this quickly became a volatile situation and the Manager upon several requests refused to remove Mr. Rafael, off the Floor, because he said you guys have complained about me also to other Location Manager, at that time our food had also arrived and we decided to only pay for our drinks and Immediately walked out" after he brought our check to us. To our understanding, all this occurred because the Manager allowed this behavior to occur and he retaliated against our Complaint in a much more unprofessional and poor manner, this Gentleman has no business being a Manager and I would hate this to happen to another family because the Establishment does nothing about reviews that immediately needs attention. Nobody , I mean Nobody, should be badly humiliated, insulted, and treated with such ignorance, The Manager is absolutely not only incompetent, but on occasions he pretends he does not Understand English language, its very disturbing as to what happened to our family and NOT even a Single Apology has risen from the Establishment. We have received excellent service on continuous occasions from Mariachis, La Play, Sierras, El Monumento, EL Charritos , but Nothing this scary happened , what took place at DOS SALSA GEORGETOWN TEXAS. read more

I don't like to say negative things about hard working restaurants but we have been going here for years and the prices rise and the quality declines. I will say the margaritas are good, chips salsa. But on our last visit the food was terrible. My guess is they prepare food in advance and reheat when served , the food was half cold half warm. The fish was over cooked and dry ( fried ) the Enchiladas were cold inside and the flavor was not fresh. Lastly, the bill was high for the quality. Please slow down and keep it fresh. read more

Been coming for a few years now for lunch and dinner, nothing ever disappoints, plus the Rita's are killer. Today did breakfast , and the same as lunch and dinner it was great, had migas with beef fajita, beef cooked prefect and great char taste, migas with cheese was a home run hitter as well, melted cheese and sauce were great comb, retried beans were creamy and flavorful. Tortillas were some sort of mass produced kind, not so good, more like rubber. Good service. read more

We call this "Gross Salsas". The place is not clean and have been told by bartenders and other wait staff they don't eat there. There have been several reviews and complaints about roaches and rats found inside and out. We stopped going after the last visit where we found part of a dead unknown bug in our food. We've driven by this place so many times over the years and wondered why all the hubbub, especially with such a mediocre rating. We don't eat Mexican food frequently, too many calories. But we decided to dive into some fajitas tonight, and this place is close-ish to home, so we gave it a try. And it is likely the last time we will eat there. I give the two stars for two items that were delicious, the green (tomatillo?) salsa and the charro beans. Fantastic! From there, it went seriously down hill. Maybe I'd have lower expectations if fajitas for two and queso didn't cost $40. But it did, and so I expected better. The tortillas were thick and pasty and nothing to write home about. Were they even fresh? I don't think so. The fajita fixings were standard, nothing much to comment on there, except that there was a crap ton of cheapo shredded cheese blend, a la Sysco, and hardly any guacamole at all. The rice was as dry and dull as it could be, nothing interesting going on there. The side of queso we ordered seemed like a slab of processed cheese melted in a microwave, nothing more. And finally, the fajita meat, bad, bad, bad. It was tough, and worse yet, it had a weird sour flavor, almost like beef smells when it's just on the verge of going bad. I don't know why we ate it, other than the fact that we paid $40 for it and traveled all the way home, so....just hoping for the best on that front. The food is always consistant! Always busy too! Go before or after the rush! Not much parking but that is because it's the best Mexican food in Georgetown! The Mexican martinis are great! The queso is the best I've bought anywhere! The enchiladas are wonderful...different sauces and fillings to choose from. I like their beef fajitas too! The parking lot is small but we were lucky and found a spot right in front of the door. It is very loud and crowded but adorable inside. They do have outdoor seating. The salsa was incredibly spicy but tasty. The queso was just what I want at a tex-mex restaurant. The food was tasty. Our waitress was very sweet but service was slow. Everyone loves Dos Salsas, except for me. There is no parking, the wait is always long, and the food is not good enough for the price. I always think my food is too greasy and lacks flavor--I usually get enchiladas or quesadillas. At least the margaritas are good! read more

We have been loyal customers of Dos Salsa Georgetown for many years. My wife went in and met with manager 3 days in advance about arrangements for party of 12. We checked back with him the day before and he assured us the table would be ready. We arrived and he wasn't at work and told no one about the plans discussed with us. We waited an hour then left. Very unprofessional manager. UPDATE:Tried Dos Salsas again. Waited 20 minutes and seated. Ordered drinks. A man, who I always thought was a busboy, came by and said we had accidentally been seated early and needed to get up and wait for another table to open. We sat there in amazement and refused to get up. He went away. Too bad that the management allows this bad service to happen. Get a grip on your business Dos Salsa. I know you probably feel that these good days will last forever regardless of how you treat your regular customers but some other resturant will seize on your bad judgement. No mas! read more

Came here because every time I drive by the place is always busy. I was not disappointed. I ordered the carne guisada and it was excellent. Tender but doesn't dissolve when you touch it and the gravy was rich and flavorful. My only knock is the table salsa could be seasoned a bit better, but otherwise the food is great. Love this place and before today it would have been 4 stars... but what the heck is up with the new menu price with price increases of 50% on some items? I totally get keeping up with the market prices but fajitas for two going from 19.99 to 29.99 literally overnight is insane. We've been going to Dos Salsa's for 10 years and always find the food fresh and the service to be excellent. I love the fresh salsa, and the food is consistantly delicious. It's a shame that there is no way for them to get more parking or to expand, because I'll bet they could fill whatever space they are given. Also, the Margarita's are Fabuloso! This is one of those places you hear a great deal about in G-town. When my friend and I decided to give it a go, I was kinda let down....the drinks are good but pretty pricey. The food was average and the wait is forever. There are better places to go for mexican in Georgetown but they seem to have a lockdown on the 40+ gringos. read more

Great place to fill your cravings for great Mexican food

This place was delicious! I had two house margaritas which were the best thing I ordered. I split an order of the queso dos salsas, very good as well. I ordered the chile relleno with shrimp and suiza sauce. The pepper and sauce were good, but the shrimp were very tiny and seemed like the frozen cooked shrimp you buy at the grocery store and thaw out. Rice and veggies came on the side, rice was mushy/overcooked, but the veggies were really good and still had a little crunch to them. The restaurant was packed, but seated our party of four in about ten minutes and we were able to order drinks from the bar while we waited. Our waitress wasn't very attentive, but she also seemed very busy and she was very nice. I probably would not have gone here if I hadn't heard such great things about it. I hear they are building a second location in Cedar Park so I'm crossing my fingers that someday they will expand to Austin. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. read more

Went here based on family recommendation, I'll take everyone's word that this is the best Tex-Mex in Georgetown. I only find it average at best. The chips and salsa was good, the chips home made and both the traditional red salsa and the green tomatillo salsa were really good. That set the stage for what I thought would be a great Tex-Mex meal. Had the Enchiladas Especial, had a nondescript chili sauce on them, a green chili sauce would have improved this a lot. Came with rice and beans. Rice was bland, had better from a prepackaged mix. Had the Charro Beans instead of the refried. This was the bright spot of the meal, these were great - good flavor a little spice bite. So if this is the best in town I won't try any place else in Georgetown for Tex-Mex read more
