    Tuna ceviche

We have been wanting to try this place for a while. Well, we finally did and it did not disappoint! Well were promptly greeted by friendly staff and seated. The place is small but nicely appointed with plenty of seating for the size without feeling over crowded. The drink menu had a lovely selection of hand crafted cocktails. I choose the Lychee martini and I must say it's the best one I have EVER had. We shared the corn riblets and edamame, both were excellent. The tuna ceviche was great and so was the Ramen. The food was hot, service was great and I really can't think of one bad thing to say about this little gem of a place. We will definitely add this to our regular list and will be back soon!

    Corn ribs. Surprising and delicious!

Very good lunch! The ramen was tasty, with great broth. The steak wasn't quite the right choice (next time I'll go with the shrimp). The Arroz Chaupa was also delicious, very unique flavors. Def will come back! Our server was very friendly and attentive, overall a great experience at Dos Mundos.

What I liked about this restaurant: -The interior and atmosphere of the restaurant. -Food that looks good What I would like to suggest: -Remove the "Pho" sign on the window that doesn't sell. (and Wing) -The water smelled and tasted weird. I think the cups weren't cleaned very well. As a Pho lover, I visited this restaurant because of the sign, which they don't sell. "No Pho" The food looked good, but it was a bit salty for us. The Ramen was good. The servers were very friendly.

Food was good...mine was great, wife had a little more spice than she cared for...which was odd, mine wasn't spicy at all...still really good, tasted fresh and made to order. Considering it was take out, service was still great...friendly and kept me posted when it would be ready. Place looked comfy and inviting, will definitely go back when I can sit down for a meal!

If you haven't eaten at Dos Mundos, you're missing out! This small, unassuming restaurant in Simpsonville is incredible and the food is packed with flavor. I never thought Vietnamese and Peruvian food would blend so well, but this was truly one of the best meals I've had in a while. The flavors had a lot of depth and every item was clearly made with love and care. The inside is small, so not the best place to come with a big group, but it's definitely a place you don't want to miss.

HIDDEN GEM! I was so excited to stumble upon this restaurant in downtown Simpsonville where the choices are SLIM. Fantastic authentic food, great servers and a relaxing vibe. It doesn't look like much from the outside but you won't be disappointed! I travel alone for business although this place is great for dates and groups as well. I sat at the bar, which has chargers below it just inviting you NOT to be in a hurry. Had the best chat with the staff who were super chill since I had brought a book with me to read. I had just a few samplings and they brought me some edamame to try. Literally the best I've ever had. The salad was full of flavor, the miso soup, everything was delicious. It's not often you stumble across these establishments, can't wait to go back!

Updating my review!! so I tried this place right when it first opened and it was good, but since then it seems they have gone through some updates and revisions with the menu and recipes! Whatever they have done with their Peruvian rice it is unbelievable! Hands-down, the best rice I've ever had! It was full of flavor and cooked perfect. My nine year-old, three year-old and one year-old absolutely devoured it. The salmon skewers with bok choy was also amazing, the salmon was cooked perfectly and the flavor on point! And don't forget to try the corn ribs... they are a definite must try, so tasty!

We recently moved to Shelbyville from Louisville and have been DYING for somewhere to satisfy our little "foodie" hearts and we finally found it- Dos Mundos impressed us that we're still thinking about the amazing meal several days later. Our server Melanie was so sweet and took great care of us, we felt like regulars even though she knew it was our first time. They were busy (6pm on a Saturday) but it wasn't too loud and we were comfortable at a two person high top table. Can't wait to come back.

We've passed this restaurant a few times before looking at their online details. Located in 'downtown' Simpsonville, this spot has been home to quite a few restaurants. We decided to try them out on a Sunday evening. We ordered the corn ribs appetizer, Causa Nigiri, a house salad with ginger dressing, and Mundos Ramen. All were served IG photo ready and delicious. Corn ribs are cob corn cut lengthwise, battered, fried, and topped with Kewpie mayo dizzle. Causa Nigiri is yellowtail tuna over Peruvian mashed potato puffs instead of sushi rice. The Ramen was prepared with Japanese Tan Tan broth. It has a different mouthful to regular Ramen broth. It includes a half soft boiled egg marinated in soysauce, giving big umami flavor. I liked it so much that I ordered another. They have a full bar menu on request. Restaurant is small and nicely decorated. It's a bit loud when full up with diners, though not jarring. You can still enjoy your meal and company.

Owner of Peru Peruvian and Latin cuisine to told me about this hidden Peruvian-Vietnamese fusion gem. The mix of both cuisine was unique. The arroz con pato blew me away. Flavor amazing. The corn ribs was delicious. Make sure to get the huancaina sauce, it reminded me of my grandmothers. Love my Peruvian roots and to find authentic flavors is the best part.

My son goes to school in Louisville and we've been meaning to try this place for a couple of years…read more Stopping by on a Saturday afternoon and was not disappointed. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and the meat was tender and juicy. The only sad part was there weren't any fries available. Other than that, we will certainly be back.

Sometimes, while visiting towns, you have to ask a local where to eat. Some suggestions work out,…read moreand others don't. Well, my buddy, Karl, had a pretty good suggestion for a recent trip to Louisville. My wife and I stopped by Yummy Polo to give it a try. Yummy Polo is a Peruvian-style charcoal-fired rotisserie chicken, slowly char-broiled and paired with southern-style mouthwatering sides--big flavors, big servings, designed to hit anyone's spot. I had the Half dark chicken with cilantro rice and chickpeas. The rice was cooked well, buttery, and had a hint of salt. I wasn't getting much cilantro flavor, but it was still tasty. The chickpeas were tender but still had a nice chew to them; the sauce they were cooked in had some subtle heat on the back end, and the dish needed a little salt. The chicken was very tender and juicy, and it was a good-sized portion. The skin was the star of the show; it was crispy and popped from the salt and spices. My wife and I both agreed that we could eat just a plate of the skin by itself. My wife tried the Half white chicken with chicken fried rice and green beans. The rice was cooked well and had a good flavor, but this dish tasted as if it had been sitting out for a while. The green beans were cooked perfectly, neither mushy nor overcooked, and they had a mild yet pleasant flavor, with a hint of sweetness on the finish, which was unexpected but not unwelcome. The chicken is where it was--tender, salty, juicy, and packed with flavor. Again, the skin was the star of the show and the money. Each dish was served with a green sauce and a mayo sauce. The green sauce was likely cilantro-based, adding a hint of heat to the dish, while the mayo sauce was creamy and sweet. The real trick was to mix them, which offered the best of both worlds and made a fantastic bite. The flavors, juiciness of the chicken, the crunch of the skin, and those sauces, that is the stuff dreams are made of. Yummy Polo offers their chickens in quarter, half, or whole portions. They have several sides, most of which are in a southern style. They offer a selection of desserts and various bread options. The restaurant is small; if there is a line, it's worth the wait. They also offer several varieties of soda and teas from a cooler or a Pepsi fountain machine. The Fat Man says that Yummy Polo is Fat Man Approved with 2 chins.
