Anytime I have a concert here, I always go with the yard seats. We bring our own blanket and floor chairs. It's just a better idea for those who like space or have a big crowd. With the drinks and food at the back you can't go wrong. Don't let that ruin the fun. Always good bands and artists to check out. All servers are not the same, some are enjoying themselves and others are just there for the paycheck. Same with the crowds, some are there for fun and are friendly others not so much. read more

I honestly loved the venue overall. My boyfriend and I were in town specifically for the kid cudi concert. Our seats were close to the pit but not in the actual pit (view was great). Security was friendly and talkative. We loved the corn dogs and bottomless popcorn. The only thing we thought was weird is that we had to put our alcoholic beverages into plastic cups to bring with us to our seats. This is the view from row H 1-2! read more

Went to a concert here for the first time. Parking and entering was pretty easy, despite there being a line, but it went fast. Security staff are nice when they check bags etc. when you walk in, there's a ton of stands for food and drinks- although super expensive. I had tickets for the lawn, which was nice! There's food and drinks stands towards the back, and it was easy to find a spot with a good view. Everyone was respectful of each other's space too. The concert itself was great! Was able to hear the singers and instruments perfectly! The only downside was getting out of the parking lot at the end. It took about 45 minutes to just get out of the venue parking lot. Dos Equis needs some work to improve the venue. The location has a benefit being accessible on the DART. However if you arrive by car or Uber/Lyft, it is a nightmare. Take the DART. The sound production is not amazing. Also, the mikes kept dropping on the performers. This is simply not professional at this level. Continuing for these issues to occur will drive artists away. You can only purchase through Live Nation, which charges super high fees. Sometimes Dos Equis offer specialty pricing on certain shows so that is nice. The seating is good and even the lawn seats are not bad. They have food in house since you are trapped and cannot get other options. Nothing healthy though. And the prices of the food and drinks are not ok. Base this how you want- security getting in was intense. That may make some ppl reassured. That may make some ppl super scared by the very intense experience to get through. This is not a rating of the performers. This is a rating of venue management. I prefer a smaller venue, Dos Equis is at the high end in terms of volume so I want to see Dos Equis improve, continue to bring in high quality acts. Dos Equis Pavilion was not the worst, but definitely not the best. This venue was not prepared for the large crowds wrapping around the building in two directions with no determined line formation. They originally posted that parking would open at 2:00, but then changed it to 12:00. Welp, needless to say, get there ASAP or else you will be stuck in line behind the facility smelling absolutely rank sewer. Once we entered the venue, the layout was decent and the lawn had a pretty good view. The one downside to the lawn (and of course it is Texas) was that I got horrendously bit up by mosquitoes. Employees were friendly and enthusiastic, especially when it came to selling their "COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLDDDDDDDD BEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEER". Side note: their funnel cake which is $13 was micro mini and definitely not worth the wait and price. The lawn was overcrowded and could've been a fire hazard. This is how people get trampled at concerts, overselling tickets. The parking lot was a disaster after the concert. My friend and I sat in our parking space for 30 minutes as we weren't even able to get out of our parking space. Where was the staff directing traffic?! The chaotic traffic issue and outside the pavillion was completely unnecessary! Logistocal failure based on greed. Security: Their security wasn't as stringent as the venues in Houston, but I found them to be thorough and reasonable. They allowed each person to bring one large water bottle, provided that it was sealed and not frozen. We also brought sunscreen and a large sheet for the lawn area. Others brought in their own stadium chairs. Check the guidelines for your particular event before going. Food and Drink: I didn't purchase alcohol, so I can't comment on it. It was pricey though. A can of water is $5, which is typical, but ridiculous. I bought several the first time because it was August and during a heat wave, but after that we brought our own. The food MUST be mentioned. We bought two Campisi's pizzas for about $12 or $14 each plus a tip. If I had taken a bite with my eyes closed, I would have sworn I was eating the box. Whoa, SUPER BAD. Merchandise: Super expensive. Expect to spend $50 or more on a T-shirt, and when they ask you to sign, a tip is requested too. I always give something, but geez. Lawn tickets: Pavilions are my favorite type of venue, and I especially like the lawn seating. It creates a festival-like atmosphere, which is a bit more friendly and casual than being packed in at stadium. If there's someone in front of you who is constantly flailing about and won't sit down, you have the option to move! You have a little more space to move around, and can have a blanket and/or short stature stadium chair. Chairs are available to rent, but a lot of people brought their own when I was there. Sound Quality: I've been here for three concerts: Beck, 50 cent, and Rob Zombie with Alice Cooper. The sound quality was just okay. For whatever reason, the sound quality wasn't as clear as it is at Cynthia Woods Pavilion in the Woodlands/Houston. Parking: Dos Equis has a lot of free parking, so that's a big advantage compared to other venues. I suggest parking in a grass lot outside of the fenced area if you can. Getting out after a show requires a lot of time and patience. Also, watch out for people bringing T-shirts to sell in the parking lot. They will approach your car from the front, requiring you to slam on brakes or hit them. I don't understand why security doesn't put a stop to that. It was especially bad at the 50Cent concert August 2023. Ants: My one major complaint was that the lawn area needed to be treated for ants, so we ended up with bites on our feet. Constantly slapping ants, especially in the dark, isn't my idea of fun. Dos Equis should take care of that pronto! TLDR: Lots of parking, lawn tickets are awesome, reasonable security but look for specific guidelines for your event, do NOT get the pizza. Watch out for ants! read more

The only reason people come back to this place is because the entertainment is always top notch. That being said, everything about the venue is OVERPRICED. I paid $40 for SINGLE vodka red bull. The staff is always very kind but I will never spend another dollar on anything but tickets again. After that overpriced situation, I hesitate to ever go back or recommend to anyone. read more

Cons: If you're in a wheelchair... good luck getting tickets to anything good. They don't regulate the ada seating. 20,000 seats and only 108 are ada. But they still allow the general public to purchase the 108. We don't have a chance. I can't sit in THEIR seats.... Why should they be allowed to sit in mine!?!? Be aware if you have to have ada seating! Prob not gonna happen at this event center. And side note: Restrooms are extremely hard to navigate in a wheelchair. When I attended Halsey the two handicap doors were broken and I couldn't fit into the regular restrooms. This place is DEF NOT HANDICAP FRIENDLY!!!!!! We attended the Santana concert May 06,2023. We were definitely concerned as there was a thunderstorm brewing. Had it come, we would have been stuck! Luckily it broke up and we enjoyed a nice breeze on the lawn. The gates opened at 5:30, but we were in line by 4:30. We entered and walked over to rent chairs, then right up to the lawn. We sat behind section 204 and had an excellent view. The restroom lines moved pretty quick especially when a staff member helped us know which stalls were available. The only issue was getting out of the parking lot when it was over, but moving out a lot of people is going to require patience. Overall our experience was very good, considering we had lawn seating. If it were a hotter time if the year, I'd probably pay for covered seating and bring a mini hand held fan, since the covered seating didn't get the breeze we did. read more

This place is ok for concerts. Usually the headliners are big names, so you will usually get a good show from them - but damn, if you aren't going to risk your safety, your sanity, and your future trust in humanity as a species every time you come here. Getting in and out of this place is a goat rope. The bottlenecks you have to squeeze through are atrocious. The facility itself is okay - but never again will I do lawn seats here. You have to leave it completely to use the restroom - and if the lawn is crowded, good luck finding your way back to your spot in the dark. Seats are good - and the views are decent from any seat in the house. The staff in the seating area can be salty, but when you see the people they have to deal with, it's understandable. I often have to curb my temper at some of the idiotic behavior that concerts encourage. All in all, this venue is a necessary evil. I have seen some amazing shows here. And I will likely return, dammit. read more

This was my second time here and I love it. The Texas skyline is a gorgeous view when concerts usually start. Plenty of great food and drinks. Priced high so be aware of that which I feel is typical for a venue like this so I wasn't surprised. The lawn can get crowded so expect that. A lot of standing depending on the vibe. Parking is typical of any venue with tons of people so be patient and expect delays leaving. The sooner you get there the better for an initial spot. Uber can be a bit chaotic too. Attended Willy Nelson's outlaw concert and was pleasantly surprised at how accommodating this place was. The parking was easy to navigate and the restrooms were surprisingly clean! First time at this concert venue. 106+ degrees on August 11, 2023 for Loverboy/Foreigner concert. I was worried about the heat. No worries if sitting under the covered portion of the pavilion. The big ass fans did the work of moving enough air to make it comfortable, even in this severe heat. This venue offers plenty of food and drink outlets. Pricey? You bet. But the service was good, gate traffic moved quickly and the drinks were cold. Liked the fact that parking lot was not hard to navigate and even the furthest spots were not too far away. I'll see another concert here. Hopefully it will only be 100 degrees next time. read more

It's hard to separate the artist's performance from the quality of the venue itself. I went to see Hozier on April 28th and the venue was conveniently located and had abundant parking, but the facilities didn't seem to be capable of hosting that number of people. The microphone went out mid-way through one of the first songs which detracted from the experience, and the lawn was muddy from recent rain. I wish the facility owners had thought of a way to put in ramps or some other means of protecting concertgoers from slipping because I almost fell down a massive slope of mud. There are really no lights in the lawn and people were too cramped to be able to sit comfortably or go down to the bathrooms/concessions area easily. Bathrooms were dirty and jam-packed. Food and drinks were greatly overpriced and the affiliated service was fine. read more

First of all, they offered a high level VIP parking at $60 before it became $243 for the last level. We decided to splurge and go ahead and get it. When we arrived at gate 10, listed on the ticket, they decided that there was a 10A and 10B. Nothing on ticket or verbiage says this. After waiting 15 minutes to get into this entrance, we were not keen to go somewhere else. We had to pay an additional $10 to get in. They were calling this easy out which still 15 minutes to get out. Not super easy! We felt ridiculously scammed at the last minute. Save your money!!!!! read more

I Took my daughters here for the wild'n out show. We definitely had a blast . We were a little nervous about sitting in the uncovered grass area, due to the sun and the warning of rain showers . We end up keeping our seats In the grass only had issues with the bugs. We ordered pizza and drinks at one of the stands. They do not offer lids on their cups there and that's kind of annoying and an inconvenience. Security needs to be a little more attentive, because so many people were able to get passed them with marijuana. The whole grass area had me feeling like I was at a 4/20 snoop dog concert . For those who are planning on doing anything at this venue. You CAN NOT Bring umbrellas, lawn chairs , and ladies no big purses or bags allowed , I suggest getting a clear purse or carrying something small but big enough to hold : car keys, ID, credit cards, money and phone. They did have lawn chair rentals for $10, but me and my girls were just fine sitting on our blankets( you can bring blankets /towels for sitting on in the grass area . Parking was decent , I valet my car for $20 extra . But to me it was all well worth it. The bathrooms were clean and roomy , I highly recommend this venue for concerts/ live shows. read more

Spent nearly $35 on some small street tacos with zero flavor and chips and guacamole. The chip and guac tasted fine but very little guac to chip ratio the tacos were bland, cold and yucky. Venue is the worst. They should never have shows from June to the End of September. It is so hot. Then they sell Liquid death only for water which taste like meta. 106 degrees and $8 water. They scam you to pay $20 for parking, but just 15 feet away it is free. You will not get out any faster with the "vip parking." They also have VIP/VIP parking I think is $50 what a joke. Absolutely appalled and disgusted by the treatment we recieved last night at the Slipknot show. When we arrived at the first security check we were told no masks were allowed, although upset we listened and my boyfriend went to the car to put the masks back. While waiting for him to return me and our friends witnessed countless people getting turned away for masks, blankets, even jewelry. Despite the fact there were no warnings or announcements on the website. that these items wouldn't be permitted inside the venue. Once my boyfriend came back to the security line a security guard IMMEDIATELY started screaming at him. She assaulted him. She grabbed his arm and was pulling him screaming that he better not have a mask or she would be getting him sent to jail. I am DISGUSTED. We will never be returning to Dos Equis Pavilion. read more

Being not from the area my first question was to Uber or drive. Speaking to an Uber driver earlier in the day they actually recommended not taking an Uber. Surge pricing and trying to find an Uber might be an issue. She also said that sometimes they wall off access for drivers for pickups but looking back there seemed to be a pretty clear space for taxis and ride-shares, so it might actually work well if you can somehow imagine finding your ride while an enormous mob is waiting to do exactly the same thing. Driving there I thought I would plug in what seemed like the most logical parking lot. Well, when there was a sign there that said Super VIP only I guess that wasn't going to happen -- whatever that is. I ended up at gate 8 (I believe) which also included a sign for valet. Valet? Okay, I'm game for that since I am not a fan of trying to find a rental car in a massive parking lot. $70 for valet? Holy... well, at least they take credit cards. The guy pointing us to the regular parking lot after paying for valet was a sign of things to come, but anyway... I parked and then saw lines for access to the event. Another VIP line... okay, I got the VIP ticket but the ticket "needs to say VIP line" to use that so not me. This is more confusing than it needs to be for sure. Off to the regular line which was moving fast. They were using Evolv instead of metal detectors in that line, so there was no one by one needed. Getting in it was easy to see where to go for the section I had. Passed the drinks being sold for enormous prices on the way. Getting to the seat, however, was bizarrely difficult with some ushers pointing us in one direction while others said to go a different way. Making a round trip around the seats I had the real answers only came from Live Nation security. Yes, totally bizarre that Live Nation knows where the seats are and not the people directing you to the seats. Can't give any feedback on the bathrooms. Sweating in Texas June heat I was not going to need them. It would have been nice if water was more abundant than the beer being sold! Post event walking out wasn't so bad. Finding the valet stand was more difficult than it should have been but at least I was in the right general area. As I gave my ticket to the valet, and it disappeared into the process I thought next time I need to take a photo of the ticket AND my keys. Having a rental at a place like this would be a nightmare if that ticket got dropped! Anyway, the wait for the car wasn't bad and the wait getting out of the lot wasn't bad either. I think the older woman that passed out from a possible heat stroke near the valet stand was still waiting for EMS as I left the lot. Yes, they could improve, not jokingly, on that front too. This is Texas. It is HOT! People are drinking and doing whatever. There will be issues, yet no one seems to be around to cover that certainty. read more

I was a guest at your Pavillion on Friday, June 2nd. It was my 1st time there and the experience was horrible. As an avid concert goer I have experienced concert venues all over the world. When we arrived an hour before the doors opened, the line was wrapped around the building wih excitement. The issue was not with the line but with the venues process of entrance into the pavillion. We purchased fast passes to allow for more expedited entry. However, there was only 1 person managing the Fastpass line. The equipment was not working properly and the attendant was allowing people to cut the line!!!! As a result, the line was not "Fast". The regular entrance line was moving faster. This is hustle! Leaving was an actual nightmare. There were not enough officers to properly control traffic. For an event of this size, there should have been adequate staffing to control the crowd and ensure safety of your patrons. read more

Went to see the doobie bros. It was 1000 degrees. Charges $25 for a double jack and coke. $20 for a beer. You can keep the glass and get ice all night. But you can't take the freaking cup with you!! This is my favorite place in Dallas to come see a concert. Music outside is just...better. I have been here dozens of times under many different names, and still call it Starplex. They have recently added lots of food and drink options that are frankly over priced and sub par. But hey, it is what it is. They have lawn chair rentals that are great and have planted some trees on the lawn which will eventually provide some shade. The sound quality is fantastic, it is a large stage, and lots of screens. You come here for the show, and you always get a good one. I can only give it four stars because they recently added in metal detectors but have not found a quick and efficient way of getting people through them. The line to get in was LONG. This is something that is new and hopefully gets worked out. They have updated so many things, but the bathrooms are not one of them. And getting OUT of the parking lot this time was ridiculous and inefficient. All that being said, we had an awesome time at Beck and Cage the Elephant. And as always, I will be back. read more

Terrible parking situation, terrible lines for the Women's restroom-the entire show, and long lines for everything else. We were forced to pour our canned beer and water into a plastic cup before we could sit down. It seemed like a complete waste and very non-eco. Also, there was a cameraman in the view for my entire show. Please figure out a better way to film the artists in order for us, as paying customers, to be able to see them the entire time-unobstructed ! Little Big Town and Miranda Lambert were fantastic.
