I personally liked this because I felt very welcomed and taken care of. Onto food - I have ordered a super burrito in the past and cannot recall it much. It was a decent size but I think I still prefer the burritos over at north Guads. This time I ordered asada nachos and a tamarind JARRITOS which cost me about $21. I normally don't finish nachos but I think it was a combination of how good it was and how hungry I was that I left no crumbs. I liked the chunky tomato slices, could have used more cilantro, but the meat ratio was perfect. Would 100% get again.

We ordered DoorDash for dinner, craving Mexican and wanted something quick…read more We got 3 chicken enchiladas and 3 beef - 2 green of each and 1 red of each. They were pretty good! The green sauce had a roasted flavor while the red had a bit of a kick to it. However, both the shredded chicken and the beef in the enchiladas were a little chewy. Also they were kinda small. We ordered a thing of beans and rice- both were good, the beans were full flavor and tons of cheese. I know it's supposed to be on the cheaper side, but it really wasn't. The subtotal for 6 enchiladas and a side of rice and beans each ended up being 55 before any fees, taxes, ect. You can get two combo enchiladas plates for much less than about 28 each at many other places. And yes, it was 3 enchiladas not 2- but again, they were smaller than a standard enchilada. So 3 was really more like 2. I'm not sure if any combos are offered in store, but there wasn't any on DoorDash. Also for the side of beans being 7.50 and the side of rice being 7.50, I thought I'd get a larger portion of each. However, each portion was for about two people. So that means if ordering a side of rice and beans for yourself, it would be about 7.50. That's pretty high I think. At most places it's like three dollars to maybe five dollars not to mention cheaper if ordering in a combo. It wasn't bad by any means, but I thought wed get more food for the price. And again the texture of the shredded chicken and beef along with the size of the enchiladas was a bit disappointing. Not to mention on DoorDash I did select to have extras on the side, such as forks and salsa, but they did not include any salsa on the side. This was odd to me as a lot of times without even mentioning that you want salsa on the side most Mexican food places will pack that . And I really did not feel there was enough sauce on the enchiladas. Like once I started cutting into it and eating it, especially that the chicken was chewy, I was really wishing for some salsa or some more sauce. I ended spraying a little bit of oil to help out, as it was the only thing I had, which was not ideal.

Katie and I can rarely arrive before Lynn & Lon, but we managed this time. It can be loud inside and it is difficult for me to hear conversations. But tonight the weather was nice and most diners wanted patio seating. We got a middle table inside for six. Our server, Alexia really added to the joy of seeing our southern California family. First off, when I ordered a margarita, she asked for my ID. I laughed, but she gave me a deadpan stare. I laughed again as I pulled out my wallet. Katie was incredulous. Then Alexia cracked us both up when she asked. "Is this your father's ID?" I'm in my mid-sixties and shave the minimal follicles that manage to produce after the wild ride that has been my life. "My father's ID." This girl is a hoot. I order the same dish every time: cheese enchiladas with molé sauce. I first had molé at the K street location in Sacramento in the late 90's. The flavor bouquet was amazing. This visit, I was attracted to the birria taco special and told Alexia I was torn between my usual and the birria. She responded, "May I surprise you?" Uh...okay. It was a delightful surprise indeed to have a plate brought out with one of each. It made my meal perfect! Another item from the specials menu caught my eye (wish I'd photographed the specials menu) and that was a cherry margarita. I'm fond of cherry anything. But when I sipped the drink, it had such a smokey flavor it really knocked my socks off. The drink reminded me of a cross between a peaty scotch and a smoked whiskey. Not overly sweet, it had more going on than I could comprehend. But I'll tell you this - I'd order it again in a heartbeat. If this special isn't available, this will be my drink of choice: SMOKEY MARGARITA Illegal Mezcal, fresh lime, Conciere, spicy salt rim. $14. Everyone enjoyed their choices and Alexia was attentive, efficient, knowledgeable and humorous. She elevated our experience on this visit. Of course we will be back.

Dos Coyotes South Davis was our frequent , end-of-the-week celebratory "go to" before the pandemic. We especially enjoyed dining at the spacious outdoor patio with our and many other well behaved dogs ;^) Since the pandemic, we've ordered online numerous times for contactless pickup -- which is well organized, safe, and speedy. While we miss dining in, the food is always DELICIOUS and never disappoints. Having special dietary needs, we're consistently impressed and grateful at the flexibility and customization offered to "build our own" online order. We are delighted that the Dos chefs change up the menu and offer online specials -- creative and needed little surprises during this time. If you haven't tried Dos Coyotes ever or in awhile, we highly recommend you do! Hearts to you Dos Coyotes South Davis for staying open and afloat during the pandemic; please stay safe and well and keep nourishing south/east Davis with your yummy food :)! We look forward to dining in with you again soon! read more

More like Dos Diarrhea. Stopped by this place for the first time on the way home from Tahoe Feb 22. Taste, price, and ambiance were great, but.... About 1/2 an hour later I had to ask our driver to pull over because my body wanted to get rid of everything! Finally back on the road and then another 45 minutes, both my sister and I had to pull over at a gas station to purge again. After all of these stops, my body was completely empty! A miserable drive home after an otherwise great day of boarding, didn't get home until midnight. After process of elimination in our party of 5, we figured out that it was probably the creamy guacamole from the salsa bar. Only my sister and I got sick, the others did not. The worst part is that I reported this to Dos Coyotes via email and all I got in return was a brush off email. I requested at least a refund, no reply. read more

I'm never really blown away here and never really disappointed here either. The green chile stew is a high point of the menu. When this is on their seasonal rotation we're here about once a week. The quesadillas seem to be overloaded with cheese and turn into a greasy mess if you take them to go. Call in orders are kinda iffy. This location is better at them than the North Davis one. That location has 50% chance of getting you your actual order. I'm not sure what's in the food but about once every 5-6 weeks I get a Dos craving. The salsa bar is usually well stocked. I'm confused why you don't get chips up front but then they come with your meal? Makes more sense to give me a basket of chips when I order and then I can eat chips and salsa while I wait for my meal. read more
