First introduced to me by my uncle , the great food and nastalgia always brings us back when we are in the area. The location is inside a shopping center with plenty of available parking. With indoor and outdoor dining available. + Yucatán chicken salad - 5/5 Leafy earthy greens with black beans , red onion, carrot, sweet peppers, cabbage, corn, on the famous southwest vinaigrette served on a beautiful warm tortilla chef kiss with mango salsa chipotle cream. Great salad and the grilled chicken was served moist +Southwest burrito with steak -4/5 Cheese , guac, sour cream , fluffy rice, and steak Decent burrito but not as smacking as it used to be. Served with a bed of chips at the hellooo salsa bar The steak is the highlight of the burrito as the grill they cook it on has actual flames! I usually go to the other Dos Coyotes location in Davis, and after going here, I still prefer it. Theres nothing wrong with this one, the food here is still great, and I found a flavor of Frostie that I haven't found before which was cool. I just prefer the other location because it's smaller and the outdoor seating has a much better location overall read more

One of my favorite places during my time at Davis and each time I go back on the way to Tahoe. The food is delicious and there's plenty of seats. My favorite menu thing is the Ranchero Burrito. Be sure to ask for more chips and only get the green salsa. Don't waste your time on anything else. read more

Went here again based on our last experience. I ordered the same thing, Ranchero Cheese Enchiladas. This time it was full of onion. I do not like onion. I doesn't say onion on the menu, and last time I ordered it didn't have onions. I don't know what my kid ordered this time around but funny as I am sitting there with her thinking in my brain "hmmm disappointing, not as good as last time.." she says out loud, "This isn't as good as last time." Wecame here while visiting my daughter. This place was nearby. It had Good food, comfortable atmosphere, lots of salsas to try.

Great choice of salsas. You can sit on the patio or inside. The food here is consistently good. You can opt for black beans, which I like. You order at the counter and the staff is quick so even if there is a long line, it goes quickly. I recommend bringing a sweater when the weather is chilly because even if you are inside, the door is constantly being opened so it brings a chill in. Also, the outdoor patio is basically in the parking lot so you may have smokers nearby. Other than that, the food is good and the place is always busy. read more

Had been coming to Dos for many years and had never been disappointed until I ordered a Green Chile Stew Bowl. There were three small pieces of chicken, and three small chunks of potato. Talk about scraping the bottom of the pot. Major disappointment. Stay away from Green Chile Stew! If it hadn't been a takeout order, I would have asked for a refund. I ordered a Quesadilla with hatch chilis and chicken to go. It was good however I was once again disappointed with how it was prepared "to go". It was overcrowded in a container that was too small so it was soggy. Also, it is supposed to include sour cream and guacamole but I received neither. Bottom line: bland fast food at sit-down restaurant prices in a cold concrete building that is extremely loud. Food is bad. Prices high. I've eaten there a dozen times, always because family or friends wanted to go. I think they find it convenient and easy. The salsa bar is poor. They need new recipes for everything. Dos Coyotes is very stingy with the chips too. I've tried a lot of things on the menu, but never found anything worth trying twice. Today I ordered a chicken fajita salad the dressing was delicious the flavor the chicken was delicious the veggies was good but to big, no joke I got an entire roasted tomato cut in four. Down side it was served in a tortilla not a big fan could've done without it and added more lettuce and chicken. I ordered Monday around 430 I walked in got my salad really quick maybe 5-10 minute wait. Quality has gone downhill. I've eaten here many times over many years. I usually order the southwest burrito as vegetarian (rice and beans) with peppers and onions added. On recent orders there has been barely any beans (and the beans are usually my favorite thing about the burrito), and the onions/peppers were raw/crunchy and not cooked. I'm disappointed because this has been my go-to burrito place in Davis. Not giving up yet, but I hope they see this and work on making some improvements. read more

Today, I had the fajita burrito special. It was delicious as Dos Coyotes food is for me each time I eat here. The veggies were crisp and still well cooked, especially loved the red bell pepper. My food came quickly, and the staff cleared my plate which is not always the case when it gets busy here. Since it's June and many UC Davis students have gone home for the summer, the general vibe in Davis seemed quieter in here today-a nice way to relax. Unbelievable! Don't eat here during the winter. The food was mediocre and the staff and management were clueless and feckless. It was 55 degrees outside and barely 60 degrees inside the restaurant. I usually get the salads since they are packed with nutrients and good stuff! They're not bland at all, so whoever said "salads are boring" obviously has never been to Dos. This used to be a fan favorite for many college students here in Davis. I as a local remember it being a big treat. Over the years Dos has become increasingly expensive and decreasingly flavorful. It is very rare when Dos Coyotes in North Davis drops the ball. Last week my takeout order turned out to be a Border burrito instead of my requested Southwest burrito. I chalked up the error to a new staffer. This week as usual, I attended Mass at 7 p.m. on Sunday night. Mass lets out after 8:15 p.m. and since I know Dos Coyotes kitchen stops at 8:30 p.m. I called them from my vehicle by 8:25 p.m. because I can tell I won't make it in time. Anyway the staff member reluctantly took my order reminding me yet again that they stop taking orders at 8:30 p.m.. I explained that's why I'm calling! She asks me to pay my credit card first (never been asked that before) so I pull over, and gave her my credit card. Arriving just after 8:30 p.m. I see my bag with my to-go order on it. I took my bag home hoping there had been no errors in what I had ordered this week. Thankfully it appears to be a Southwest burrito with chicken, but unfortunately it appears the bowl is only half empty! There was some chicken underneath the guacamole and pico de gallo. Dos Coyotes is usually a very good value. Tonight, I was glad I did not tip them. After I put it in the microwave for a few seconds to warm it up, it was still the most disappointing meal I've had since last Sunday night's disappointment, when I got a full Bowl of a meal that I didn't ask for. If they didn't have enough chicken to put in my bowl tonight, perhaps they could have reimbursed me or called to tell me? Perhaps they could have thrown another piece of chicken on and grilled it? I would have been happy to wait... Come on management! Where's the quality control in your operation? Steak border burrito hits the spot when you are craving a decent burrito. The chips are also pretty good. The only thing that needs work is the distribution of food, everything is clumped to one side and it is not evenly distributed. The steak is flavored nicely and i'd say there is a decent amount of steak. The size of the burrito is reasonable for one person, maybe the price is a little expensive.
