I found this place after searching on Yelp for Tex Mex. I am glad that I did. This place is a hidden gem in the Richardson. The atmosphere was casual and the kids loved it. The food was excellent. The salsa that comes with the chips and salsa is fresh. The Mexican street corn was delicious too. I had the burrito and it came with fries. I loved this combination. The fajita were excellent and the portions were great. The service was excellent and the food was great. We will definitely come back again.

Guys! If you have been sleeping on the Mexican lasagna... don't!!! It is SO good!!! So much better than I expected it to be and the portion size is beyond generous. If you're a sauce kind of person, like myself, they do not hold back and the sauce is delicious! Service is always prompt and on point! One of my favorite spots in Richardson.

Pleasantly surprised by this place! Genuinely a great dinner for much cheaper than expected. Came here for a double date and got the chimichanga with brisket. It was delicious and enough for me to have leftovers the next day. Our server was kind, everything came out quickly. And they let us sit for a while close to closing to chat before we left.

If you didn't pull into this little shopping center, you would never know what you're missing. Tucked into a neighborhood road, this place feels like a true hidden gem. I've been here over 100 times, primarily back when it was Frankie's, and I gotta say the quality hasn't changed a bit. Plenty of seating indoors with a large bar and plenty of TV's. Chips and salsa are something to write home about, so solid. White queso rivals any in DFW. Went on a Saturday and Sunday back to back and ordered the breakfast enchiladas both times. They were stuffed with breakfast sausage and cheese and then topped with hollandaise sauce and 2 eggs, incredible. The margaritas, specifically the frozen, are stiff and taste great. Service is friendly, and food/drinks come out quickly.

Okay so service was good! Blonde hair girl was fantastic! Others were nice as well! It's a clean restaurant and decorated cute. The salsa is okay. Not any spice and nothing special about it. The michelada is HUGE but nothing special at all about it. I didn't even finish it or ask for another. The shrimp cocktail was amazing! And they had these purple flowers underneath the glass, super cute! The chips were spicer than everything I received by the way. But it was Super fresh, packed and tons of flavor! I got the guisada to go and man that was super delicious! I went for the michelada and since that and the salsa wasn't good that's why it gets 4 stars.

We went here because it was convenient and when we left, we were convinced that we will be back. We went around 3:30 in the afternoon so we had the place practically to ourselves. The music was great (80's ish), but it was a little bit loud since the place was relatively empty. We ordered brisket enchiladas and Agustin's enchiladas with mole sauce and black beans. Since it was happy hour, we decided to indulge in frozen margaritas. Our waitress was very attentive. She started us with a basket of chips and small individual containers of salsa. The fresh, crunchy chips were perfectly paired with the gently spicy salsa. The waitress let me taste it in advance of putting in my order. My husband calls me a mole snob and their mole did not disappoint. I asked for a combination of chicken and fajita beef which they accommodated. The brisket enchiladas were so unique and so tasty. The flavors were all well balanced. The food was so good, I couldn't stop eating it. I took a chance on a frozen margarita. I usually expect them to be average and mild. The margaritas we got were just the right amount of sweet and sour. The tequila was generous but balanced. We were quite pleased with our selections and will certainly be back.

Lorena was such an awesome bartender! She was so great with us! My parents come here regularly and I can see why! We started off with the brisket queso, and it is some of the best queso I have ever had in my life! The brisket in the wueso was so tender and juicy and flavorful that we ate the whole thing in less than five mins!!! I also ordered the Mexican martini, which was absolutely delicious, rimmed with tajin gave it that extra ummph of a flair!! Lastly the enchiladas, I got the beef and got wueso and the chili sauce on both of them since that queso was so dang good, and it was just enough! Super yummy, light, didn't feel overly stuffed. Left feeling happy and full!!

Excellent food! First time here and loved it all. Their salsa is great. Elotes authentic! Chile relleno full of brisket. The atmosphere is great and service excellent. Our waitress Maria top notch

The interior is nice, and it's located in a food complex. The service was great. The waiter constantly checked on us, gave us nachos, and refilled our waters. We got seated immediately. Decent tex-mex spot with good quesadillas and enchiladas.

So far one of the best Tex-Mex restaurants nearby. Would have been 5* but they got the orders wrong.

Is the chicken gluten free?

Gluten is from wheat, so yes, chicken is gluten free. White tortillas are not but corn tortillas are gluten-free.

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

When I called in April 2017, the manager said No.

And the margaritas are strong and well priced, we have eaten at other mexican food establishments and they charge $18 for sweet lime-aid. We usually ask for Eric since he's our favorite! The bartender was attentive, kind, and professional. The atmosphere felt welcoming, and you can tell they have loyal regulars, which always speaks well of a restaurant. The staff overall seemed consistent and friendly. Now for the food. I ordered the queso to start. The flavor was good, but it wasn't hot -- more lukewarm than fresh-out-the-kitchen warm. For my entrée, I had the skirt steak with beans, pico de gallo, enchilada, and rice. The flavors were solid, but again, the plate came out lukewarm. For a Tex-Mex spot, temperature really matters. I don't need it piping hot, but I do expect my food to feel freshly made and properly heated when it arrives. That was my only disappointment. I've ordered carryout before without issue, and because the service and vibe are strong, I will definitely be back to give it another try. I just hope next time the food comes out hot and fresh. Overall: great service, good flavors, strong local energy -- just room for improvement on food temperature.

They take tender chicken enchiladas and generously blanket them in a rich, complex mole sauce that's prepared fresh each morning with the traditional ritual of toasting, grinding, and simmering spices, chiles, nuts, and chocolate. The result is a sauce that's bold yet balanced--savory and earthy with subtle sweetness, a gentle heat, and layers of depth that coat the soft corn tortillas and juicy shredded chicken beautifully. It's served alongside black beans (frijoles negros) and rice, creating a satisfying plate that's comforting and elevated at the same time. Many diners describe it as mouthwatering, excellent, and one of the best takes on chicken mole enchiladas around, with the sauce often stealing the show for its authenticity and flavor harmony. At around $20, it's a solid value for the quality and portion. The restaurant itself nails that perfect blend of modern Tex-Mex and authentic Mexican cuisine in a warm, inviting atmosphere. The space feels trendy yet welcoming--dim lighting at dinner for a cozy vibe or bright and airy during brunch--with friendly, attentive service that makes you feel like family. Reviewers consistently rave about how the staff is knowledgeable, helpful with suggestions, and genuinely happy to serve. Cocktails are a highlight (fresh, creative, and perfectly paired with the food), and the overall menu shines with other standouts like birria stacked enchiladas, tacos de camaron, short rib tacos, fajitas, and coastal-inspired dishes, but the mole enchiladas remain a classic favorite for those seeking traditional depth with a polished twist.

Unfortunately, since the ownership change, the experience just hasn't been the same. The customer service is still decent, and I genuinely enjoy their spicy Mexican martini -- that's honestly the main reason I still stop by. However, the food quality has noticeably declined. Over the past year, I've experienced stomach issues after eating here, which had never happened to me before under the previous ownership. I'm not sure if it's a change in ingredients, preparation methods, or sourcing, but something is clearly different. It's disappointing because this used to be a go-to spot.
