This is my second time staying here…read more The first time we got the deluxe room with the HUGE window-- definitely recommend this room! There is a table right at the window so you can enjoy dining/reading/sitting with an incredible and private VIEW! This time we got the only accommodation that has TWO rooms-- so it felt like a small apartment without a kitchen! It's extra spacious and allowed everyone to have their privacy. The rooms are SUPER cute! Yes, the furniture is old. Yes, it looks like grandma's house. But from someone who has stayed in luxury resorts most of the time, these charming and timeless rooms have a special place in my heart. I'm not even sure if this makes sense, but the ambiance welcomes you with open arms and makes you feel right at home. It truly feels like I came to grandmas house. It feels so familiar and I know for a fact, staying here is healing my inner child each time. We all know the views are absolutely incredible-- I mean... breakfast buffet overlooking the cliffs AND you can watch surfers and dolphins in the distance while you enjoy your food? Can't get better than that. You can go visit the shore during low tide or walk over to the pier that leads to an island! This hotel is tucked away from the city and I absolutely love the seclusion. Although it's right next to the highway, staying here feels like stepping into a peaceful parallel universe-- the world still moves on the other side of the wall, but you're suspended in your own quiet, dreamlike bubble until it's time to return to reality. The service is too notch! She has gone out of her way to accommodate us and never made any request feel like it was too much or an inconvenience. If you thought this place couldn't get any better, it DOES-- they have a Restaurant that serves lunch and dinner!!! Let me stop before I write a novel. This has literally become my favorite hotel.

There is a popular and excellent restaurant that is open to the public. It's just over one hour to arrive there from my home in Los Angeles. However, the room itself is rather small and could use a renovation. There were no grab bars in the shower or by the toilet. The tiny refrigerator froze everything, including an injectable medication. But the magic of being on the water and hearing waves makes it worth the costs.

That's exactly the type of person who should work in the service industry, and the type of person that makes you want to come back as soon as possible. There is a little notepad outside the door where you can write down your name while you wait for a table to be ready, and benches conveniently right outside for while you wait. This place was buzzing on a Sunday afternoon. We waited maybe 15 minutes before we were seated out on the patio, which was shaded and nicely kept. We all were happy with our food. I got the green chile scramble with toast and hashbrowns, and I feel like that's a pretty simple brunch, but I was in heaven. Great food. My only complaints were that my iced tea just tasted like water, and there were no toilet liners in the restroom. Neither of those things would make me want to stay away, but I just feel are important to point out. I still loved this place. All in all, The Wormer Bee Cafe delivers exceptional customer service and food alike, and I would recommend anyone to try it out while in Carpinteria.

Absolutely loved this cafe, the staff was friendly and helpful and happy to be there…read more The drinks were amazing, sadly genetics have decided that milk is actively trying to kill me so I have to drink alt milks like oat or almond, this place makes their own fresh alt milks daily and it's like nothing else I have tried, it doesn't feel like a second thought it is genuinely good. And it's a such a cute little cafe and a quiet town, we have been itching to go back ever since, to try more of their food items and of course get more coffee :).

I was excited to try this cafe with my friends after seeing that it had many positive Yelp reviews,…read morebut I was severely disappointed in the taste of my drink and in the service throughout our visit. Though the shop was cute, clean, and had a lovely covered patio outside, I wouldn't recommend it for those stopping by for coffee on road trips. I got a seasonal spring drink called the Irish Cream Mocha and asked for it iced. Unfortunately, it just tasted like chocolate milk. Now, I like a good chocolate milk, but not when I paid for a specialty flavored mocha! I didn't detect an Irish cream flavor or even a hint of mocha. As a latte, it was way too milky and lacked the depth of an espresso drink. Contrary to its description on the menu, it wasn't balanced at all. How misleading. My friend tried one of the craft energy drinks, and it looked pretty, but she said that it was flat and tasted kinda meh. She also got a visually-appealing soda, which apparently tasted much better compared to the energy drink. Another friend ordered the seasonal Dulce de Leche Latte, and she mentioned that it was a bit too light-tasting as a latte. That checks out since my mocha also seemed like it was missing the coffee component haha. Her latte did taste like a caramelly drink made with actual dulce de leche, but she didn't appreciate that the "light" dusting of cinnamon was more like a heaping teaspoon of it thrown into the drink. We noticed that our receipts showed a higher price than what was printed on the menus. We only found out after paying and reviewing the receipts that they charge $0.75 for making drinks iced. We weren't informed of this charge by any of the ladies at the registers upon ordering, and we didn't see any signs stating that iced drinks would incur an additional charge. No explanation anywhere. Another thing that threw me off was when a certain barista handed off the completed drinks in the pickup area. She wasn't wearing gloves, and I don't think she washed her hands in-between tasks, but she was placing the drinks onto the counter while holding them by the top part, aka the lid from where people drink! I was shocked at how unbothered she was while doing that, as if that's how she was trained, or she was never corrected.

Love when we walk into a place and they make you feel like family. This place was IT. Then we have Jose, who has been working there for 25 years traveling from his hometown in Ventura. That in itself speaks volumes about how much a worker is cared for and clearly loved. We are so thankful for creating such a memorable experience for our family. Give these two a raise The setting inside what looks like to me and I think was an old hotel, vintage artifacts and facts about the restaurant on the walls just ooze authenticity. Now moving on to the food, prices were reasonable and incredibly flavorful. My kids and I enjoyed every last bite. My husband had the ribeye and eggs, kids had the junior French toast, and don't leave without ordering the bodacious cinnamon roll (yes the hype is real). The menu is extensive but don't feel overwhelmed that just means you need to come back again and again to try it all. We most def fell in love with this breakfast spot, we have to come back for lunch because there selections also looked scrumptious. Our kids were asking the next day to go back so see you in May when we go back and visit!
