Wonderful work! Dorothy is timely in completing our alterations and does an excellent job.

I have yet to get back the dress I took in for alteration. She promised it on June 22. I took it in for hemming a week before. I showed up on the 21st but she hadn't started it yet. No call to say it's finished on the 23rd. Now I don't have it to wear on our vacation :( read more

I believe I first saw mention of Dorothy's alterations on next door. Checked it out wonderful reviews and she certainly didn't disappoint. Quality service lovely person and super prices that can't be beat. You won't be sorry. I had 8 pr of men's pants altered. $8 to let out the waist and $8 for the inseam. Wow! read more

Dorothy does good work! She's easy to work with and good turnaround time. And it's nice to support a small businesswoman!

Ms. Dorothy is the best! Affordable and less than a week turnaround for my two pairs of pants. I've gone to her years ago, then had a dress altered at a typical alterations shop and it was so expensive! I will only be bringing my alterations to her from now on. read more

This was my 1st time going to Dorothy and I will only go to her from now on. I got a pair of pants hemmed. Brought them in on a Monday and they were done by Wednesday. And the pricing is very reasonable. I always like supporting small businesses and will be going back to Dorothy. If you want a no frills, get in and get out experience then go to Dorothy! read more

Dorothy did an excellent job resizing and adding patches on my hockey jerseys. Quick and great prices. You won't be disappointed.

She alternated my bridesmaid dress a week before the wedding so quickly a few years back. I will never forget, she did an amazing job!

07/03/18 SERVICE I have a pair of pants that needed the bottom hemmed and having no sewing skills I looked around locally via Yelp and found this place. I drove up, it's a house, but it has a sign in front directing you to the back. Walked around to back door, met Dorothy, dropped them off, came back the next day for pickup, great job, very reasonably priced. I will be taking all of my future clothing alterations and repairs to Dorothy. read more

I took my motorcycle jacket here and I thought it was not repairable, but I got it back it looks brand new! Very fast too. Definitely recommend this business and brining more items to be altered. read more

Dorothy is a sweet lady and wonderful seamstress! I brought her very large, heavy curtains. I would have been happy with a single hem, but she did double the work by hemming the curtain and lining separately! I highly recommend her!!! read more

Dorothy's Alterations - Dorothy works from her home but you have to walk to the back for her services. - Sewing & Alterations Near Me - Henderson, Nevada

Dorothy was great at hemming and altering my son's martial arts uniform. He was worried it was going to look bad but you can't even tell it's been altered. She did a fantastic job!!! She matched the stitching perfectly to how the original stitching in the uniform was. I would definitely go back for any alterations and highly recommend her. She's also a sweet lady! read more

Personable and Dorothy knows what she is doing. Her timing was spot on and her cost to value unheard of !

Dorothy is super nice. I needed to get a few pants hemmed on such short notice and she was more than happy to help and accommodate. She has a charming set up, and doesn't charge much at all compared to other Tailors in the City. read more

Dorothy delivers, very reasonable price, polished job. I had several clothes that needed to be shortened and I came out a satisfied customer. So the next time my grandson's school uniforms needed repairs too... where else should I bring them to but to Dorothy of course. One can tell her experience from the quality of her job. The place is not fancy but hey!!! all I care is she delivers. I will keep going back to her for more alterations in the future. read more

This lady is so nice and very knowledgable in being a seamstress. Easy peasy working with her.

Does an excellent job on alterations, reasonable pricing, reliable & nice person. Would highly recommend.

I just left Dorothy's and dropped off a jacket to be fitted to me, and a jumpsuit to have the sleeves taken off. The place is a little bit hard to find (especially with current construction), but WORTH IT!! Dorothy says that she's been making and tailoring clothes for about 50 years, which I totally believe. I found her little shop behind the house, and she was wonderfully helpful and kind. I asked if she could rush on one of the pieces (though I understand that I'm a bit last minute). She said she'd do her best, but no promises, which is perfectly reasonable. Her prices are affordable and I'm very happy to support a woman-owned local small business! read more

Dorothy is an amazing seamstress and more than fair prices. She works out of her home and seems to be constantly busy but you can count on her to get the job done. When I say you can't beat the price-well, that's what made me reluctant to write this review read more

Dorothy is amazing! My daughter was a bridesmaid recently and was 6 weeks postpartum. Dorothy was able to shorten the dress as well as fashion a removable lace nursing panel in the deep v-neck so not only did my daughter look lovely, she was able to easily nurse my granddaughter! For all your alterations needs, I would HIGHLY recommend this lovely lady! read more

Dorothy is great. She is very cheap and does great quality work. To alter my jeans, it was only $8 per pair. However, she did ask me for more time with my jeans after leaving them with her for a week, so beware if you are constrained by deadlines. However, for the price, she is still great and will remember her when I need pants hemmed. read more
