07/03/18 SERVICE I have a pair of pants that needed the bottom hemmed and having no sewing skills I looked around locally via Yelp and found this place. I drove up, it's a house, but it has a sign in front directing you to the back. Walked around to back door, met Dorothy, dropped them off, came back the next day for pickup, great job, very reasonably priced. I just left Dorothy's and dropped off a jacket to be fitted to me, and a jumpsuit to have the sleeves taken off. The place is a little bit hard to find (especially with current construction), but WORTH IT!! Dorothy says that she's been making and tailoring clothes for about 50 years, which I totally believe. I found her little shop behind the house, and she was wonderfully helpful and kind. I asked if she could rush on one of the pieces (though I understand that I'm a bit last minute). She said she'd do her best, but no promises, which is perfectly reasonable. Her prices are affordable and I'm very happy to support a woman-owned local small business! read more

Dorothy is amazing! My daughter was a bridesmaid recently and was 6 weeks postpartum. Dorothy was able to shorten the dress as well as fashion a removable lace nursing panel in the deep v-neck so not only did my daughter look lovely, she was able to easily nurse my granddaughter! Dorothy is great. She is very cheap and does great quality work. To alter my jeans, it was only $8 per pair. However, she did ask me for more time with my jeans after leaving them with her for a week, so beware if you are constrained by deadlines. However, for the price, she is still great and will remember her when I need pants hemmed. read more
