If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I brought in a bridesmaid dress to be hemmed and altered for a wedding. I even tried it on with the heels I planned to wear so the measurements would be accurate. I was quoted $150 for a one-week turnaround--which I thought was steep since the dress itself cost $100--but I agreed because I needed it done quickly. When I picked up the dress, they didn't let me try it on and simply sent me on my way. I assumed the work had been completed, but when I tried it on the next day, it was clear almost nothing had been done. The dress was still too long and baggy on one side. On the day of the wedding, I ended up doing last-minute "alterations" myself using glue and safety pins. I paid $150 for professional alterations and got nothing close. Extremely disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I've been coming to this location for a few years now. Kim has reconstructed jackets and hemmed many suits and dresses for us. However, this past February she did my wedding dress and my husband's tuxedo. My wedding dress was a heavily beaded vintage gown from the 90s (I bought it at Savers for $40!!!) and my husband's a Dolce and Gabbana 3 piece (this was new and we paid thousands). Kim did an amazing job on both of them. Everyday items and garments don't come with the same pressure as your wedding day clothing, but we trust Kim and she made the experience that much more special for us. It was interesting to read the other reviews about her pricing, with Kim you get what you pay for. Don't come here to get a bargain, you come here to get a tailor who knows what she's doing and what her work is worth. Something of a lost art nowadays. read more

If i could give a lower rating i would. I needed a pair of unlined pants hemmed for next day pickup so i called ahead to inquire. The gentleman on the phone said no problem so I drove right over. Upon walking in the woman at the counter waved her hand to gesture for me to go into the dressing room to try my pants on. She pinned them to the perfect length with no problem. She asked me when i wanted to pick up as she was writing the ticket and i said tomorrow. She then wrote $25 on the ticket to which i commented that $25 was a little expensive for unlined pants, she started yelling that it was a special order next day. I demanded that she stopped yelling at me and Although there were no signs about next sat charges i said ok because i needed them for travel. Her next statement was i HAD to pre-pay. I asked why and she said everyone does. I looked around and asked where the sign was indicating a pre-pay policy. She balled my pants up gave them back to me and asked me to leave. So let's unpack this a little. If next day was extra why wasn't i told that when i called. Based on some of the reviews I've read on this business several customers indicated that they were given a choice to pre pay or at pickup for amounts larger than $25. So why was this a requirement for me? I have my speculation on why i received the treatment i received and it's disappointing. But it's OK she exercised her right not to serve me and i exercised my right to tell anyone that will listen about her terrible treatment. Which i told her i would do. I purposely waited to write this post. I wanted to make sure that I was being rational and not giving my review out of emotion. I had high hopes for this shop, the recent reviews were so great. Unfortunately, my experience was not. A few weeks ago, I came to the shop to hem two maxi dresses. When I walked in, I was greeted with a little grumble of a hello. I get it, you are busy...but for a shop that is in the service industry, it gave me bad vibes, straight off the bat. The woman that was there ask me what I needed and I told her that I needed two dresses hemmed. She softened up quickly, and was very nice. She told me to use one of the dressing rooms to try on my dresses. For reference, I'm 4'11 foot and I will admit, there was a lot of material to takeoff. About 5 inches or so. I tried each dress on, and she pinned the dresses all the way around. In the middle of my pinning, a gentleman walked in. As I was changing back into my regular clothes, she started to help him. When I came back out, she let him know that since I was there first, she was going to finish up with me. that was awesome! She asked me when I needed the dresses and I said in a week. She suggested the following Friday. Which would have made it a week and a half. I told her that we were leaving for vacation on the upcoming Wednesday. From there we agreed-upon Tuesday evening as the pick up. She asked me if I wanted to pay now or at pick up...thankfully, I said now! She calculated the pricing and it came out to $110. I wasn't sure I heard that correctly...so I confirmed $110?! She confirmed the pricing was correct. I apologized and said I did not expect it to be that expensive. She asked me how much I was able to pay...which was nice, I will 100% give her that credit, but found it strange. Full disclosure, I use a lady in California when I go to see my mom. She charges $6 a garment for hemming. I know that is outrageously low, so I thought $20 a garment sounded reasonable. When I told her $20, her lid damn near popped off! She raised her voice and said $20! These dresses are at least $25 each to dry clean! All I asked for was the hemming of my two dresses. There are no other alterations and I did not ask for dry cleaning. Still the price stood at $110. keep in mind, these dresses were $25 each on Fashion Nova. Once again, I apologized and told her I didn't mean to waste her time, but I did not know it was going to be that expensive. She grabbed the dresses and started pulling out the pins and tossing them to the side, while grumbling to herself. She proceeded to insult my seamstress in California - saying she must do terrible work, which, in fact, she does amazing work and I'm sad that she isn't in Nevada. She continued to grumble while yanking out pins from one dress, while I calmly pulled out pins from the other dress. When she was done, pulling out the pins, she pushed my dresses towards me and told me to never come back and anywhere in the Las Vegas valley would be more expensive. I was in shock and beside myself. I could tell the gentleman that came in after me could feel the tension. When I left, I called one of my friends who is a performer in town and is a little bit more "bougie". I told her what happened and asked her if the pricing seemed right for the Las Vegas valley. She did the same thing I did...confirmed that she heard correctly, $110?! She said that is extremely high. My window leading up to my vacation was small and I knew that taking my dresses for hemming would be tight on time. I ended up having to go out to California anyway and I ended up taking my dresses to my seamstress. I told her what happened, she hemmed my two dresses within an hour and a half for $12. I gave her $30 for her time and quick turnaround. As you can see in the pictures, these dresses are straight across, no thrills no frills. I confirmed with my seamstress that it was straight cutting and hemming. In my opinion, definitely not $110 worth of work. I've learned my lesson. Per the owners request, I most certainly will not be returning back to this establishment, especially not with that type of customer service. I will happily take my garments to my seamstress in Southern California. If she had the time prior to our vacation, my mom would have done it for free. read more

This post makes me really sad because I honestly really like the couple that own the shop- they were able to take both mine and my husband's clothing for a wedding that we had upcoming and they didn't make us wait super long for an appointment. unfortunately the actual tailoring was not what we wanted at all my husbands pants actually fit worse after the tailoring as did my dress. We picked up only a few days before the wedding so we couldn't even do anything about it unfortunately. But the price was pretty steep and the tailoring job even though we just wanted very simple hems was not good. I was pretty nervous about finding a tailor in Vegas as is, because we are coming from Los Angeles and had amazing tailors in every little corner but unfortunately we did not find it here. My wife and I have been using Pro Tailor for about the last 15 years and appreciate the couple who operates it and performs the alterations. We've never really had a problem with any of the alterations and when we do we just explain the problem and they're happy to fix it. We will continue to use them and highly recommend them as well, but understand at times there can be a bit of a language barrier, so be patient and explain it until you're confident they understand, which isn't a problem unless you're brain dead! read more

Walked into Pro Tailor today and asked the lady how Much it would be to make two pairs of golf shorts from a waist 36 to a waist 35. no answer. she starts putting a clothes pin in the items. I asked her again. how much? no answer. I asked a third time and didn't get a real answer. just a bunch of double talk. so I took the clothes pinout of the two shorts and left. She's screaming at the top of her lungs at me. I lived in new york City And know all the tricks these people play. These are NOT nice people or good people. I only trust pro tailor with my clothes. I first brought some pants and jeans that needed simple tailoring. For the quality of work, it's fairly priced and I got my items back within 3 days. Following this I took a vintage Armani gown that fit me awkwardly and she did such an amazing job I came back with all of my clothing pieces that just didn't quite fit right. Some of the more complex alterations can get pricey, but this is quality, professional tailoring. There is a language barrier but nothing that seems to prevent stellar work from being produced. read more

It's simple, there's too much miscommunication because of language barriers. This business does pretty good work, but they don't understand English very well. I've taken the chance several times (with pants..etc) and have been pleased...but other times they've dropped the ball because they can't communicate very well. Note to the owners. A good way to lose customers is to have your pit bull just trotting around your store. I am terrified of these kinds of dogs, and I am sure I am not the only one. I go to open the door to pick up my pants, and I notice this huge pit bull heading right towards the door. So I don't even bother going in. I just tell them to bring my pants outside. In my opinion some of the very best tailors on the planet are Korean. After spending three years in Seoul, Korea, I have a fond respect for Korean tailors. I agree with other reviewers, don't be fooled by the strip mall location, the work here is of great quality. Clearly there are years of experience and attention to detail. Every single item I bring in is treated with respect: from toddler play clothes, to formal gowns and formal wear. They also do remarkable specialty work. I have had a special custom-made pillow for my husband's neck post his neck surgery. I brought in a rough sketch drawing with dimensions and materials and after a thorough consultation, the tailors produced exactly what we needed and beautifully done. Furthermore, I have had entire bench seat covers re-done, custom pillows with detailed cords and piping for that extra professional finish. No job is too big for them, no job is too small. I brought a bridesmaid dress here to have it altered. The shoulders need to be taken in and the zipper removed to make the back fit better. I brought it in on a Friday morning. No appointment was needed. I was helped promptly and the necessary measurements taken for my alterations. They made sure I was happy with how the dress was going to look and took great care in listening to exactly what I wanted. It's a pay ahead service and it cost $55.00 to have the dress altered and pressed. I wasn't on a strict time schedule so I told them that I could pick it up whenever was best and she said it would be ready in one week, any time during the day. I picked up the dress and tried it on. It fit beautifully! The steam and press job was done very well and my dress was hung up nicely with a plastic bag cover. I was so pleased with the service and price here. I called to see if they could work on my bridesmaid dress that was ordered by another bridesmaid in a size smaller... Just my luck. The guy answered the phone without saying the name of the business. When I asked if this was pro tailors he sounded irritated. I told him my dress situation and he just huffed loudly and said "bring it in. I must see it." Usually, no problem I would bring my dress in. But this guy sounds rude and unprofessional- making a loud huffing noise on the phone is not okay when a potential customer calls. Don't let the small store front fool you, this is a top notch and very professional tailor. Had a full suit tailored in 4 days (didn't make an appointment) and fits EXACTLY how I wanted it to. This is the 2nd time I've been to Pro Tailor and have been very pleased both times. I used to get my suits tailored at department stores for a few bucks cheaper but they never turned out how I wanted them, hints why I now go here.
