I was aware that Nordstrom Rack is the off-price retail division of the luxury department store chain, Nordstrom. I went there not expecting Walmart or other merchants prices. I found the men's shirts and pants racks and found several items that were the color and size I was looking for. A shirt that listed at $198.98 was on sale reduced 68% to a mere $74.96. It was a regular long sleeve shirt by Polo, Ralph Lauren. With all due respect to India where the shirt was made, I wondered what costly threads were used to make such a pricey shirt. The same was true of the pants and several other items. Mind you that these items in the off price store were on yet another discounted clearance rack in the store. Nordstrom may want to rethink their sales techniques at their chain of stores before people start realizing it's not a really an off price store.

It's a small store connected to a local coffee shop and they sell a lot of men's accessories. Stuff like bow ties, leather wallets, cool hats, funky socks, and a bunch of other stuff that will make your ex-girlfriend from high school live the rest of her life full of regrets. One of the cooler things they have are handmade wooden bow ties. They are actually carved and stained and then ties around your neck with a piece of cloth. I'm not much of a bow tie guy myself, but these were really cool!! I might even be able to pull it off!! On top of that, the folks working there really know their stuff and can help out the rest of us who are a little clueless. Speaking of which, did you know that your tie is not supposed to match your pocket square? They are supposed to compliment each other but not match. Now you know. It was well worth the visit if you are in the South Tampa area and even if you're not it's worth the drive down to check it out. His attitude and lack of enthusiasm for such an important occasion really ruined the entire experience. Despite the store being nearly empty, he repeatedly walked away to talk with his coworkers instead of helping us. We were looking to purchase six suits, and we could have really used his guidance and input, but it felt like he had absolutely no interest in helping us. We ultimately left empty-handed. Had he shown even the slightest bit of effort or professionalism, we likely would have made a significant purchase today. I believe the employee's name was Richard. He had dreadlocks. Regardless, this experience was extremely disappointing, and we will not be returning.
