We were given the…read moreYarrow cabin; this double bed cabin was nicely arranged with comfortable mattress, top of the line sheets and all the bathroom amenities you need. The cabin also has a wet bar with cafe machine, well stocked with capsule coffee, hot chocolate and tea. The room itself is within the forest and well shaded. Coming from Hawaii, it is cold for us at its summer nights when the temperature gets into the 50's. But heater is available in the room. The surround forest is beautiful and tranquil. On our daily short walks to the dining room, we were awarded with the fragrant fresh pine tree forest smell, the beautiful view of the Grand Teton Mountain range, and a well designed delicious 5-course meal. The booking includes free breakfast and free dinner. It also includes horse riding around the Jenny lake, free use of the well maintained beach cruisers. The cabin we are in has a wall that is shared by a neighbor. But there are more expensive individuel cabins that are not shared. The location is ideal as it is a short bike ride to the Jenny Lake Visiter Center, it also offers the best wide and well maintained bike route, separate from cars. It is also close the famous hike to Inspiration Point and many more trails. In the end, this was the highlight of our trip. Very expensive, but it you can afford it, go for it!

Signal Mountain Lodge…read more Visited the Grand Teton area and wanted to stay in a location that offered amenities close to our activities. Maximizing our limited time to be within the National Parks avoids the longer distances of outside lodging and lines at the entrance stations into the parks. This is an establishment that appears well run and the complex of Registration building, Restaurant and Gift shop, General Store, Gas Station and Laundromat are all relatively close to one another in a walkable distance. Those who have more mobility issues would find a large parking lot centralized to these structures and an ability to get into the restaurant more easily where it is paved. There is a layout of cabins that face the gloriously beautiful Jackson Lake with great views of the Tetons in the background. There is a Marina office where you could check out their boating services and the cabins not on the waterfront facing areas are just a short walk away to access views of the shoreline. It was very peaceful and quiet when we were there. We stayed in a Double Queen Country room that adjoined another room. The rooms were clean, well appointed with a large counter and sink area. I'm always a bit leery of new places at higher elevations of being able to provide enough warmth at higher elevations but we did not have that problem. The room warmed up very quickly with their easy to use thermostat. There was a phone line we could call the front desk if needed. They did mention they would provide WiFi in your room but understand even those connections can be sporadic when you are situated around these wide open environments. The beds were comfortable and bedding kept me nice and toasty. Laundromat takes tokens and you can use a credit card to get those. The nearby campground area also uses their facility and they also have showers available to campers. The only recommendation I would leave is perhaps a little better lighting near the entryways into the cabin areas. Darkness descends very quickly after sunset and I would be sure you carry good portable flashlights if you decide to walk to the restaurant at night or out for a night stroll. The other benefit in staying in this location is that you can take the Signal Mountain road up to its summit which offers a great view of the surrounding area. You are paying for the convenience of location. The cabins are dark woods, rustic but sturdy, nothing fancy but covers what you would need for a nice respite in the outdoors.

Paradise-like setting Friendliest staff…read moreUnique accommodations I've been staying in hotels, Airbnbs, hostels, tents and other traditional lodging for much of my traveling life. This was my first time staying in an honest to goodness Conestoga wagon, and it was truly luxurious. Not words I ever imagined typing. Pulling into Moose Creek Ranch was not immediately remarkable, but beginning to walk the grounds, I felt the persistent mountain breeze, heard the babbling Trail Creek, and saw the peaceful natural surroundings and well-manicured grounds all commanding my recognition. Then there were the comfortable environs of the ranch buildings, inclusive of the cozy lodge room, a game area, and a spot for breakfast, all with a chill music soundtrack wafting through. The staff were friendly through and through. We took advantage of a trail ride with Biscuit, our wrangler, the morning of the 4th of July, and enjoyed his capable, humorous guidance through a forest trail near the Ranch, capably tailed by Rooster the resident corralling canine. And now back to the Conestoga wagon. These things boasted bunk beds and a king size, with a full bathroom, small sitting area, pre-stocked mini bar with room for your own items, plentiful plugs/USB ports, and a highly capable mini-split AC system. Ridiculous (in a good way)! If the original Westward Ho movement had these things, Manifest Destiny would have hinged on thread-count, and we'd have never made it past Ohio. These things would be the Airstreams of the 1800s. Loved the experience. This might be the experience you needed, even if you didn't know it.

We stayed in a beautifully renovated condo that felt both luxurious and cozy, with modern finishes, warm wood accents, a fireplace, and huge windows with classic Teton views. Everything felt fresh, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The kitchen was fully updated, which made it easy to relax after a long ski day and enjoy a snack. The location inside Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is unbeatable. You're just steps from the lifts, but the real game changer? The ski valet. Absolute five-star service. Drop your skis in the morning, walk out in your boots, and they have everything ready and waiting for you. At the end of the day, hand them off and stroll back inside without lugging gear. It makes the whole experience feel seamless and indulgent. The staff was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The spa and rooftop hot tub are perfect for unwinding, especially with mountain views at sunset. It strikes that ideal balance of upscale but still relaxed while not stuffy, just comfortable. If you want the convenience of ski-in proximity with the comfort of a high-end condo, Hotel Terra Jackson Hole absolutely delivers. Five stars. Would book again in a heartbeat.
