This boutique hotel was excellent! It's a three star so I'm rating it as that. We took a room with a terrace which was excellent for light meals or conversation when you wanted to get away from it all but still wanted to be outside. It didn't hurt that the weather was beautiful with temperatures around 20 C and plenty of sunshine.
The hotel is in the centre of The Rambla but quiet. Great location as everything was in walking distance. The only time we took taxis was to and from the airport and to Nord Barcelona Bus Station for an early morning tour but we walked back!
Jessie, the front desk person, was excellent. She brought a kettle to the room (for the herbal teas I bring everywhere). Also, a wine opener. She gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. We could not hope for better customer service always with a smile!
The room was a good size for a European room. We've had smaller! The room was very clean.
The bathroom could have used a bit of repair. The sliding door didn't close all the way and the MDF moulding around the room had some water damage. The bathroom was marble and it would have been wiser to use marble around the door to halt repairs with the MDF which does not take well to water.
Unfortunately, we didn't try the breakfast as the market was a few steps away as well as a grocers and natural food health restaurant.
We would definitely return! read more
