I always give myself a pep talk before walking in here. The internal talk is to show some self control, to keep my wits about me. Because I luv chocolate and candy. And this shop has some of the best chocolates I've ever had. The shop has loads of chocolate and fudge. Even sugar free options. Some chocolates were boxed and others sitting lovingly behind the glass counter looking all gorgeous. I bought some pieces of truffles and peanut clusters. Smooth, rich, creamy true quality chocolate flavor. Divine deliciousness. Mmm. They also had peanut brittle which I also bought. It was thin and had a buttery, peanut flavor. Crisp and light to the bite. One of the best brittle I've ever had. For pls stay away from brittle thinking it's hard tooth breaking. Not theirs. Thin n crisp. Can't forget about the salt water taffy. They had a ton of different flavors and it's also priced by weight. The taffy is sweet and chewy, melt in your mouth. Sooo many flavors. All the taffy we picked out tasted fresh having that soft tacky texture. Mmm. They have other items such as ice cream, caramel corn, etc. Sure that something will peak your interest. Pricing is on par to other candy makers (like the white dress ladies) or possibly cheaper. Staff has always been the best. Friendly, welcoming, no nonsense group. Awesome.

It looks just like the other location, and it sits at the base of the hill that provides the southern entrance to Virginia city. It was a great store. The lady at the store was very friendly. I told her that we had been to the other store a few times, but this was our first visit to this store. She told us that "this is where the magic happens." this is the location where they make the chocolates and candy, and then send it on to the other store. It has everything that the other store has, chocolates, taffy, assorted candies, including hard candies, peanut brittle, the works. They have a large selection of loose chocolate in bins, so you can get a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. It's charged by the pound. My brother got some chocolates for both him. And his wife back home, and he also got another bag of the jalapeño brittle. I'm the one that "turned him on" to it, and he's gotten to like it as well. I also got some of the chocolates, and I picked up two bags of the jalapeño brittle, and because I got two bags, because of a special they were running I also got a complementary bag of caramel corn. I hear it's very good stuff like everything they have here, but because I had so much candy already, the caramel corn ended up being a gift. The price is for everything was reasonable, based on the high-quality of their candy, and they do a military/veterans discount. Both of their stores are great. She was absolutely adorable and she had this old tyme vibe about her which made her a perfect choice to greet you with Champagne & Chocolate. They had complementary candy tastings. They are affiliated with the chocolate nugget factory, so you know the chocolate is good and homemade. It's a cute small bar with a handful of stools and a cute gifts shop to take home a treat for later. I didn't have time for a glass of champagne, but I wanted to let people know about the shop while you're in Virginia City be sure to stop by and give Kat a big hello!!!

The back half is a small chocolate shop with lots of great gift ideas. Not just glasses and flights of champagne, they also carry a small selection of wine and a few distilled spirits for cocktails. The chocolate selection was good. The chocolate gifts interesting. There were two boxed sets of booze infused chocolates- one based on the martini and the other bourbon. Limited street parking, but VC is small enough to walk everywhere.

The lady was very nice, same as last time, and I asked for a sample of the jalapeño brittle. I took a bite, and. *WOW......* that stuff is "jalapeño business." :). It definitely has a kick to it. It's on the upper end of what I like for spicy, but I really enjoyed it a lot. The heat takes a couple of seconds to kick in, and then The sweetness of the brittle helps temper it a bit. I bought a bag, which should last me for quite a while, but when I'm ready for another, hopefully they will still carry it. Definitely worth trying. Thank you

One day I looked up "The best Terimisu in Reno" and this little gem popped up. I looked everywhere for their address and when I didn't see one, I called. I left a message and with in the hour got a call back. They are a shared kitchen so they only deliver. I ordered a Terimisu and it was delivered to my home with in 2 days! The owners are sweet sweet people who remind me of my family back east- hospitality and all! The Terimisu was absolute perfection and so balanced with the flavor. The presentation was phenomenal and I could not be happier to support such a crafty and authentic business! I've come back for not only seconds.. but thirds and fourths and it will continue with gratitude. 10/10.

My dad was all about the salted black licorice and cola gummies, which are some of his favorites. My mom went for more of the fruity flavors, while I picked out some of the sour options. My daughter, on the other hand, pretty much went down the entire line grabbing a couple pieces from each bin. That turned into an expensive little mistake! But she loved getting to pick and choose everything herself and already wants to go back. Swedish candy has become super popular lately, so it's pretty cool that we now have a Swedish candy shop right here in Reno. There are so many different choices from sweet, sour, salty, gummies, licorice, marshmallow candies and all kinds of different textures and flavors. One thing that also makes Swedish candy a little different (a lot different) from US candy is that many of the candies use things like pectin instead of gelatin and natural colors and flavorings instead of some of the ingredients you typically see in American candy. There were also vegan options available, which was nice to see. The store is set up with all the candy separated into clear containers. You grab a bag and a scoop and basically make your own candy mix with however much you want of each kind. Just keep an eye on those kids who want "a couple of everything" because that bag adds up quickly. The owner and his son were both extremely friendly and oh so sweet (no pun intended). Overall, this was such a fun little stop. If you love candy or have been wanting to see what all the hype around Swedish candy is about, definitely check them out. There are tons of choices, and everyone in my family found something they liked. My daughter is already asking when we can go back!

I recently stopped by Nikki's Candy in Reno, and oh my gosh, they have so much authentic Swedish…read morecandy to choose from! It is located right next to Trader Joe's in the plaza, so there is tons of parking and it is an easy add-on to a grocery run. One of the coolest things here is the actual quality of the treats. Because it is legit Swedish candy, it is made with real sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup, and there are completely no artificial flavors, dyes, or weird chemicals. It feels awesome to load up a massive bag of sweet and sour goodies knowing the ingredients are way cleaner than standard American candy. The only real bummer about the shop is the design of the lids on the bulk candy bins. Instead of staying open on a hinge, you have to completely remove the heavy plastic lid and hold it in your hand while trying to scoop. If you do not have a second person with you to play assistant, there is honestly no way to hold your candy bag, hold the bulky lid, and use the scooper all at the same time. It turns the whole sweet experience into a crazy juggling act! They should definitely invest in some of those self-holding, hinged lids like most other candy spots use so solo shoppers do not have to struggle. Overall, the candy flavors and clean ingredients are incredible and it is such a fun addition to Reno, but fixing those lids would help.
