I've had fibromyalgia for 21+ years and have pretty bad back/neck, and overall pain. I was looking for a gentle, but effective Chiropractor closer to work and I'm so glad I found Dr. Tammy! I went to see Dr. Dorhout, for the first time, for lower back and shoulder pain. I found her to be extremely knowledgeable, very thorough, and very easy to talk to. She gave me an adjustment for my back and used her laser on my shoulder. My back was considerably better after that first visit. After another visit my back pain was completely gone and my shoulder is considerably better. I believe with a few more laser treatments my shoulder will be 100% too. I am rather picky as to who I will let treat me but I highly recommend Dr. Dorhout for anyone in pain. read more

Can't say enough positive things about Dr. Tammy Dorhout. I threw my back out 2 days before a family vacation to Phoenix. After the 12-hour drive from the SF/Bay Area, I could barely walk and I was a jerk to my own kids. Dr. Dorhout got me in to see her right away. I was at least 50% better after the first adjustment. I'm a runner and was preparing for my first half marathon. Two weeks before the race I experienced excruciating heal pain which halted my training. I thought I was going to have to withdrawal from race because the pain didn't go away. I went to visit Dr. Dorhourt & was unsure what she could do. She gave me several a low level laser treatments during the week before the race. Immediately after first treatment I felt less pain. After third treatment the pain was completely gone. I was able to run the half marathon & improved my time by more than 12 minutes. I recommend several friends with severe knee pain to her laser treatments & both are experiencing less pain. I had doubts about the laser but after my experience I'm a true believer. My partner was pretty insistent that I try seeing Tammy Dorhourt after he bounced back so quickly from an ankle injury that was causing his whole body to go out of whack. I'm basically a big chicken just thinking about my back and neck being "adjusted". I went anyway because I hadn't been able to turn my head without pain for the previous three days. From the moment I walked in it was a good experience. It was sincerely relaxed (read: not faux massage music relaxed) and Tammy was sitting at the front desk talking with her staff (I had no idea she was the doc). I had no choice but to relax as they got me and my new patient information self ready. The adjustment part wasn't dramatic or painful. I'm heading back again soon. Absolute Care Chiropractic and Acupuncture is awesome. Dr. Tammy Dorhout is amazing! She has helped me with back and neck pain due to my occupation. I have a very physical job as a Television Sports Photojournalist that requires me to carry a 40-50 lbs. camera on my shoulder for long periods throughout the day. As well as my camera, I lug around at least 60 lbs of additional equipment that I carry while on a shoot. My bones and muscles ache at the end of the day. She has adjusted me on several occasions and has used a special laser that has broken up scar tissue in my neck from an accident years ago. Dr. Tammy has given me several different exercises to build more of my core that will also strengthen my back. Without her, I know I would still be in pain. Today I am pain free and feeling strong and healthy. She is gentle and caring. I didn't get the feeling she is doing this just for the money. She seems like she really cares about what happens to each of her patient's. I will never go back to another Chiropractor. She's THE BEST in all of the Phoenix area!!! read more
