Best place in Eagan! Great bacon burger and AMAZING wings! Would love to see a impossible burger or more vegetarian options.

I'm down grading my 4 stars to 3 because of customer service and vibe. I've been there for lunch a couple times over the past few months and there's a pretentious vibe that's really distracting. Wait staff seem to always push beverages and scaff when we just order water. Whatever, I drink water with my meals. Then they scaff again when I don't want to order the appitizer they are pushing. Do people really order appitizers before lunch on weekdays? I don't think I ever have. Even on vacation. And yes, they pushed dessert too. Again. Do people really get dessert after lunch? Maybe I do if I'm in key west and want to try the key lime pie, but no, I'm not into your carrot cake Doolittles after my quick weekday lunch. You better be ok with that. After all, I just shelled out $14 for a damn salad. I enjoy it when wait staff explain the menu OR take time to highlight items the chef has made for the day that aren't on the menu, but I don't need you to read me things that are easy and straight forward and then make me feel overly cheap for wanting water and no appitizer before my lunch. Anyway, it doesn't bother me so much that I'll stop going, there's so few good places in the area with decent food. And even fewer now that Parden my French closed. Here's hoping-- read more

I could write out a long, drawn out review of how everything here is amazing in detail, but I will just save it and say that its just damn good and solid. Have never had a bad time here. Strongly recommend. The only thing that would be nice is if they took reservations, but alas. If we show up and the place is packed, my wife and I usually head to the bar to try and find seats and just eat there. Sometimes the wait can be a bit long, but that should just go to show how good it is here. A+ read more

I have been going to this place for 15 years, and I have yet to be disappointed with the service or the food. The food is amazing first of all, second they have a very low turn over rate of the staff. I enjoy the professionalism of the staff from the bus help to the bartenders. They are all very good at what they do. The food is a great mix of choices from American, Asian, Mexican, Seafood and all of it prepared to perfection! When we have company and want to go out, Doolittles is always our first choice as it never disappoints. read more

Incredible. Rotisserie wood fired buffalo wings that are #1 - no place has wings like these. A must have. Seasonal soups to die for. Rotisserie chicken, ribs, steaks all absolutely perfect 10. Good service, nice atmosphere, good specials, okay food. A Fair value for your dollar. For a casual place, food is good, but not great. But then again, wine at 50% off on a bottle Monday's is hard to beat. If you are in the area, a good place to stop. Wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but certainly beats the chains. read more

Yummy with more affordable options at lunch. Their chicken wild rice soup is very good as is the rotisserie chicken and steaks. It can get pricey at dinner, but the atmosphere is excellent. After reading some reviews we settled on Doolittle's wood fire grill for dinner on a business trip. The place was packed we end up waiting about 25 minutes to eat on the patio and a gorgeous night. The patio was half full so it seemed odd we had to wait so long, but they said they were understaffed. When they walked us to our table we passed the wood fire rotisserie cooking chicken and right away the aroma will catch you. The menu was diverse but we all went for stuff in the wood fire selection of the menu. I had the ribs and chicken, one person had thehad the hanger steak, and the third person had the chicken. Overall everything was good but the chicken was amazing. The food across the board was 5 stars, the service was slow, but polite and professional. Last night Doolittles has been a favorite of ours for years. (Tuesday, Sept 1st) around 8:00 PM our car had its windows smashed and all of the contents in the vehicle were stolen. The manager did come out to see the damage. He called the police. Police mentioned to me unfortunately there have been other break-ins reported to vehicles at Doolittles. This morning I stopped at an adjacent business in the 2140 building next to Doolittles as they have a security camera on their building to see if possibly they had any surveillance video. They informed me others have been into their office asking the same question recently. Just beware the police said it has been a target as they believe it's easy access to the high way for the perpetrators. I have reported this information to the police. read more

Stopped here because we saw it as we drove by and was starving! So glad we did. Butternut squash soup? Um yes please! So good. Calamari was just right with a great dipping sauce. My husband had steak, cooked perfectly and the green beans had a spicy kick to them. I chose the salmon with new potatoes, spinach and asparagus. Really tasty. The people are nice. I'm not sure if the food is consistent tho. Ordered to go orders twice in a week. First one was amazing. Second one was awful. Threw out most of it. Called and they said they'd send me a little something. Prob for a free app or something. They should have refunded my meal. Spinach was par cooked with raw garlic. Steak was unseasoned and just unappetizing. Potatoes were substituted and plain when menu says butter and parsley. The bread was consistently good tho. Wish I'd gone somewhere else. Super bummed! Atmosphere was good, wait staff was amazing, but food was average. We both ordered the blackberry mule, an the bartender was inconsistent to the point it tasted like we had different drinks.. I didn't even finish mine.We started with wings because the waitress talked them up so much. They were a bit sour from too many fresh herbs, and a little on the dry side. I got a bowl of wild rice soup and it was ok, a little thin, and the chicken was over shredded to a point it was like having sting cheese in it. I had the spit chicken with green beans, which the beans were under cooked. The chicken was ok,, but definitely wouldn't day award winning.. My fiance had the ribs chicken, which the ribs were very dry. He needed to ask for extra BBQ sauce to eat them. Best part of the meal was the Cole slaw and the French fries. We wouldn't visit here again with all the other great choices in the area especially at that price point. read more

A little disappointed with this place. I went on a Sunday with my 17 and 18 year old. The bar tender served us not sure if they were under staffed or what. My children and my self wore our comfy out fits we did not Dress up for the occasion it was about 2pm. The bar tender came to our table to take our order I asked if we could have a kids menu and I was pretty much shut down right away. She stated that it was against the rules to have a 17 year old pick from the kids menu. I tried to explain to her that my 17year old is very picky and has stomach issues. She still would not have it. I honestly think the bar tender/waitress was thinking that I was trying to get something for cheap. So we ended up ordering all foods from the main menu. I ordered the chicken wings rubbed chicken. This is what I had another time I was at the restaurant and they were amazing. I was very disappointed two of my wings were very burnt. I expect no Burt wings if I am paying almost $20 for 6 wings. I did not complain. I just assumed that the restaurant and her did not think we had money and maybe we were going to ditch them. Any way I did pay for my meal did not complain about it and also left the bar tender/ waitress a tip my bill was about $60.00 I left her $50.00 wanted to prove a point never judge a book by its cover. We found Doolittle's by chance when we were initially just going to make a quick stop at Wendy's. Since we were traveling from out of town, we were happy to see that this place showed up and we turned into the parking lot to have a more enjoyable lunch than a fast food gut bomb. In fact, we enjoyed this place so much that we stopped at it again on our way out of town. Customers have to walk past the scorching hot rotisserie before being seated which only makes you more hungry at the thought and smell of the delicious meat. Even though Doolittle's is on a relatively busy road and their patio is not immune from the traffic noise, they have done some nice landscaping that makes you feel a bit more comfortable on the patio. A decent wine and beer selection accompanies a diverse menu. I had the BBQ chicken salad which comes with black beans and a light creamy dressing. The chicken is fantastically tender and flavorful and I was happy to find that the BBQ was not too overpowering for the salad. The Reuben sandwich is a nice size, and served on a soft, fresh rye bread with just the right proportion of meat and sauerkraut. On the second visit, I was craving pasta so I went with the sicilian spaghetti which had shrimp, bacon, portabello mushrooms and spinach tossed with some roasted tomatoes and balsamic vinegar and topped with cheese crumbles and capers. It was surprisingly bold in flavor and even a good kick of spice. The only thing we weren't as impressed with were the wings appetizer dish - they look delicious but were too heavy on rosemary or some other spice. Almost to the point of being inedible. Overall, great spot, friendly service and flavorful food! Prices are in the $10-$16 range. read more

Boy, is this place ever popular! And I can see why... nice bar & grill restaurants like Doolittle's are normally uncommon to suburbs. During a recent visit the wait for a table was 45 minutes, so my wife and I hung like vultures around the bar. Luckily, five minutes gave way to a couple leaving for their table. The ambiance is much better than other suburban bar & grill restaurants, such as Chili's and Applebee's. The food also blew them out of the water... the artichoke and chicken quesadilla was scrumptious, as was the pork loin ciabatta sandwich with mango chutney (and I normally am indifferent to pork). This restaurant has the best roasted half chicken I have ever tasted. I have been there twice and always order it. It is even better the next day for leftovers which is very rare. Portions are very generous and the service is wonderful. I am going here with friends in March and am looking forward to it. I highly recommend this place. read more
