I can't say enough about the Webster Kindercare…read more The teachers love the kids and the kids love the teachers. I feel like everyone their goes and above and beyond and they feel like an extended part of our family. They are amazing with communication when I pick up my children. They let me know how they did, what they ate, concerns, new things they started. When I drop my kids off they will go right to a teacher and give them a hug. It makes me feel alot better knowing they are being so well cared for while I'm at work.

Then once my child began going to the center they told me after a week it "wasn't a good fit" for my child . My child has some sensory needs that they said they couldn't work with after they met my child. But during my tour I was told they work with every child regardless of special needs or not. Aside from my child being kicked out only after 7 days the teachers said things like "kids like that" and "kids that come from families like those". I get help with daycare assistance being a single mom but they made me feel like that "assistance" mom from the beginning with their judge mental comments. Behind the scenes was me working day and night 60 hour weeks and working on my masters degree defeated everyday every time I would get a phone call regarding my child . The last straw for me was when my other child began having unexplained behaviors that I've never seen before until they started attending this center . The aggression got worse and eventually they said my other child couldn't attend because of "behavior" when the reality was that there was an open investigation about how the teachers were being aggressive with my child during a meltdown . All in all the regional manager is AMAZING , other than that I do not recommend sending your children here .

At the end of the day, their decisions are driven by profit -- not people. Families are treated like transactions, not members of a caring school community. There's little flexibility, no regard for individual circumstances, and past contributions of time, effort, or materials are conveniently overlooked when it doesn't serve their bottom line. The so-called "board" and "executive board" structure is a closed loop, with the same individuals making decisions unchecked. There is no transparency, no accountability, and certainly no empathy. We were forced into an unfair situation, only to watch them fill the spot immediately and profit off it again. If you want your child in a school led by thoughtful, reasonable, and genuinely community-minded people -- keep looking. This isn't it.

The teachers, assistants, and office staff are amazing and the experience has exceeded our expectations. We have taken advantage of the wrap-around child care available to complement the classroom offerings. It is such a great value and the staff are wonderful. Overall I feel like this school is a great partner in helping to prepare my children for a successful, well-rounded, life. *** We are now one month into "pandemic operations" and I can't believe how smoothly things have gone. We are so thankful to have an option that provides safe, in-person, schooling 5 days per week. The reopening plan was thorough and well communicated. So far so good.

At PUNS, we share Piaget's belief that children learn by doing and that play is the work of childhood. We strive to teach the "whole child" through educational instruction and play-based learning throughout all of our classrooms, including enrichment courses that enable children to expand on interests in STEM, literature, art, music and more. Children are further engaged in hands-on learning through educational centers that change throughout the year, dedicated gross motor time, our large, fenced-in playground and the PUNS Garden. We offer small class sizes, experienced teachers and flexible cooperative options to enable parents to work and learn in the classroom alongside their child(ren). We pride ourselves in being an allergy-friendly school. At PUNS, our goal is to encourage every child to enjoy their preschool experience, develop positive feelings about themselves, engage in creative play that encourages new friendships, and prepare themselves for the next steps in their educational journey.

Many of the local…read morepublic school systems offer a better, more complete, and more supportive environment for children. Here's why: My son was abruptly expelled from Allendale Columbia, and the school has made no attempt to rectify the situation. I'm going to communicate the facts of the situation and let you draw your own conclusions about how students are treated by Allendale Columbia. As background, my son (a first grader) has some mild behavioral issues that I acknowledge can be a challenge to deal with. We were working with the school, my son's pediatrician, and my son's therapist. We were seeing positive improvements and our impression was that things were headed in a good direction. On February 24th, 2021, at approximately noon, I informed Allendale Columbia that we might not be returning to the school for the following school year. On the same day, at 3:45pm, I received a call from Interim Head of School Shannon Baudo. Baudo claimed there had been "an incident" in the after school program, provided few details, and told me that my son was expelled from school effective immediately. He never had a chance to say goodbye to his friends or collect his belongings. We never received a written incident report. Two days later, on February 26th, my wife and I had a phone call with Baudo and the lower school principal Michelle Feiss. By this time, Baudo's story changed, and she insinuated that my six year old son had acted inappropriately towards a girl in the after school program. This is an allegation I take extremely seriously, so I called the parents of the girl, who were not aware of the severity of the situation. The school has still provided no proof, and no written incident report. The school refused to refund any tuition, even the tuition for the portion of the school year we did not receive. Only you can make decisions for your family. However, I feel that I'd be doing a disservice to the parent community in Rochester if I did not make you aware of this event, and the school's callous and abrupt response.

The kids preferred this childcare center over the Penfield location. They said it seemed cleaner and there was not gum all over the surfaces. The wellness center was decent. Not a ton of machines but enough. It was surprisingly slow for a Saturday and I had my choice of machines. I liked the electronic lockers here. The outdoor pool is really what makes this location stand out. I wish there were more shady areas poolside. The slide is fun (and fast). Kids loved the splash pad. The only aspect I was unhappy with was how basic the changing rooms were by the pool. They could use an update to be modernized. The changing rooms were as basic as you can get. No stalls strictly for changing. We enjoyed this location and would come back for the pool.

I asked him what he was doing and also was waiting to see if anyone was following behind looking for him and, no one! Not one person was searching for my 3 year old son. I brought him back in and said he got out the door and found me in the lobby and the response from a male worker was "oh". . Not a "oh. I'm sorry" or "oh my goodness I apologize ". Mind you, I am supposed to trust people with my kid's life. Let me also say that he knows how to push the handicapp door button to get the doors open so had I not been in the lobby sitting down, he would have walked right out the front doors. Interesting this place tried to pin neglect on me when they are the ones having neglected my son. I stopped going to this branch a long time ago.
