I find it interesting that the reaction to my gun noise information is considered funny. No response to my comment, but simply ignorant giggles. Those who think having their child at a daycare next to a dangerously loud gun club is funny, must not be too concerned about their child's welfare. Facts mean nothing to these parents? I guess not. They merrily send their young to a daycare that will adversely affect their child, and they think it's funny.
Since these parents are bereft of facts, here's some others to digest while you giggle.

ADVERSE EFFECTS FROM EXCESS NOISE EXPOSURE
Indirect adverse effects
* Physiological effects
* Psychological effects
Impaired cognition
Characteristics of the sound can modify effect
2. Research indicates that chronic exposure to loud noise is harmful to children. Young children, particularly infants, are susceptible to the effects of loud noises.
Studies have linked chronic noise to hearing loss; problems with speech, reading and attention skills; and even elevated blood pressure levels in children. There also is evidence that chronic noise affects motivation by decreasing children's ability to persist, or "keep with" a task.
3. Noise can pose a serious threat to a child's physical and psychological health,
including learning and behavior. For example, noise can:
INTERFERE WITH SPEECH AND LANGUAGE. Repeated exposure to noise
during critical periods of development may affect a child's acquisition of
speech, language, and language-related skills, such as reading and listening.
IMPAIR LEARNING. The inability to concentrate in a noisy environment
can affect a child's capacity to learn.
