However I feel there's a good consistency in the teachers there. They keep "floating" teachers there to a minimum, so it's almost always one of her regular teachers at pick up and drop off. There are good programs to keep the little ones busy. I believe there's a regularly schedule rotation of art and music teachers that rotate through the rooms. They also have a surprisingly robust (and newly renovated) outdoor space and playground for the various rooms. My 2 year old spends a lot of time exploring outdoors in a safe and contained space, which I think is a good thing. CCB does a good job of communicating any changes in schedule, staff and events. It's a relatively big place, but seems to well-organized. They also provide food which is a plus, since meal prepping for our little one was a big time sink and also probably less healthy. Overall I would highly recommend CCB and wouldn't hesitate to send another child there in the future.

She would frequently go out of her way to see old teachers and say hello to the friendly staff. CCB did everything they could to help our child adapt and grow while there. Any time we had questions the staff and teachers worked together to improve the situation. Besides the excellent care, the facilities and programs were excellent and never felt tired. We felt everyone there was proud to help the center be at its best. People clearly were proud to do the right thing and maintain the reputation that CCB earned over the decades.

I would never recommend a parent send any child to Allendale Columbia School. Many of the local…read morepublic school systems offer a better, more complete, and more supportive environment for children. Here's why: My son was abruptly expelled from Allendale Columbia, and the school has made no attempt to rectify the situation. I'm going to communicate the facts of the situation and let you draw your own conclusions about how students are treated by Allendale Columbia. As background, my son (a first grader) has some mild behavioral issues that I acknowledge can be a challenge to deal with. We were working with the school, my son's pediatrician, and my son's therapist. We were seeing positive improvements and our impression was that things were headed in a good direction. On February 24th, 2021, at approximately noon, I informed Allendale Columbia that we might not be returning to the school for the following school year. On the same day, at 3:45pm, I received a call from Interim Head of School Shannon Baudo. Baudo claimed there had been "an incident" in the after school program, provided few details, and told me that my son was expelled from school effective immediately. He never had a chance to say goodbye to his friends or collect his belongings. We never received a written incident report. Two days later, on February 26th, my wife and I had a phone call with Baudo and the lower school principal Michelle Feiss. By this time, Baudo's story changed, and she insinuated that my six year old son had acted inappropriately towards a girl in the after school program. This is an allegation I take extremely seriously, so I called the parents of the girl, who were not aware of the severity of the situation. The school has still provided no proof, and no written incident report. The school refused to refund any tuition, even the tuition for the portion of the school year we did not receive. Only you can make decisions for your family. However, I feel that I'd be doing a disservice to the parent community in Rochester if I did not make you aware of this event, and the school's callous and abrupt response.

At PUNS, we share Piaget's belief that children learn by doing and that play is the work of childhood. We strive to teach the "whole child" through educational instruction and play-based learning throughout all of our classrooms, including enrichment courses that enable children to expand on interests in STEM, literature, art, music and more. Children are further engaged in hands-on learning through educational centers that change throughout the year, dedicated gross motor time, our large, fenced-in playground and the PUNS Garden. We offer small class sizes, experienced teachers and flexible cooperative options to enable parents to work and learn in the classroom alongside their child(ren). We pride ourselves in being an allergy-friendly school. At PUNS, our goal is to encourage every child to enjoy their preschool experience, develop positive feelings about themselves, engage in creative play that encourages new friendships, and prepare themselves for the next steps in their educational journey.

Facility is clean and clearly labeled as to locations of gym, fitness rooms, lockers, restrooms. Staff has always been friendly, working hard and appear to enjoy their jobs. I have tried several group fitness classes, most are included in the membership and schedules are readily available at front entrance and on their web-site. For the most part I use the fitness center which has a wide variety of equipment with on-screen apps to watch Netflix and Hulu (with your own log-ins) on some machines as well as live TV and music options to help pass the time. Some of the equipment works with the Preva app to keep track of your weekly goals, which I enjoy. I chose this fitness location as an average woman who is somewhat new to fitness and wasn't looking to be watched, obviously judged or feel out of place. I can honestly say that I feel comfortable here, I would dare to say even happy to be working toward a healthier me here. There is a diverse mix of people that come and I enjoy the friendly overall atmosphere. There are so many membership perks that I haven't taken advantage of such as 2 large pools with aqua classes, open swimming and laps, cycling classes, day care options. JCC has an app available, but it is hit and miss and freezes often, so I would hold off on that until it's improved. Overall I find the JCC an Excellent overall facility.

During our time at the daycare, I felt that both my son and I were treated differently, and not in a positive way. At the time, my son was not yet fully adopted, and I couldn't help but feel that this may have influenced how we were perceived and treated. As a parent, that was incredibly disheartening. The transition to Jennifer Mehlenleacher & Christine Belykh was also a major factor in our experience. There seemed to be a noticeable decline in overall organization and communication, along with significant staff turnover and ongoing staffing shortages. This created an environment that felt unstable and, at times, concerning. I personally witnessed Jennifer numerous times talked down to her staff humiliating them in front of guests. Which was not uncomfortable for the guests, but it was extremely humiliating for her staff. I chose to wait before writing this review so I could reflect and compare our experience with another daycare. Having now seen what a supportive, well-run environment looks like, I can confidently say that this experience did not meet reasonable expectations. I truly hoped for a much more positive experience, and it's unfortunate that it didn't turn out that way.
