We love this place!! It's a little hole in the wall type place but my goodness the customer service is always so sweet and the drinks are delicious!!! Their coffee is so well made and it pairs great with their donuts and other sweet treats. We like to visit whenever we're in Sac and they do not disappoint. My sister really enjoys a super sweet coffee and the gentleman working there is always helping her choose the perfect drink lol she really appreciates their patience and kindness! Hands down this is the best donut shop in sac! It sucks because I can say they have ruined the donut holes for me for the rest of my life! I love donut holes but the donut holes I've had here were soooo f'n good and they were still nice and hot with the glaze still bot fully setting in. Omg i'm telling u they would melt in my mouth. They ruined it for me cuz I know i will never experience donut holes as good as the ones i had that day! Its ok tho cuz at least I experienced a warm donut hole. I've can only recall two experiences in my life where I had the most fluffy, soft, yummy, cream puffs, but they were nowhere near as good as these. On one of my morning hunts for something besides bagels to bring into the office, I stumbled upon this small Donut Shop tucked between a gas station and a liquor store on the more um.. etch-a-sketch side of town. I ordered 2 dozen cream puffs for about $10 and to my surprise, the lady went out back to pipe in the cream filling, one by one. Freshly made to order! These creams puffs are not only big, but they're perfectly soft, and somehow has an ever so slight crunch here and there for texture. The cream filling is whipped and not too sweet or dense. And then to top it all off, they're dusted with some sugar so finely powdered that it can make a debut on the Chapelle Show. Puff me! I swear to you these are the puffing best ever, especially 1st thing in the morning while still warm. On another note, the savory croissants are also delicous, flaky, and not to mention, gigantic. It's evenly loaded with turkey/ham and cheese inside, which is great because no one likes an itty bitty slice in the middle. But as always, I'm there for the creeeeaaam puuuufffs!! Who knew huh? Donuts probably deserve 4 or 5 stars, but the customer service at this place is no more than 2 stars. I went twice last week. My first visit I noticed it was really busy, and the second time I visited the place was dead, but the same lady was there. She wasn't welcoming, no smile, not helpful and makes you feel as if you're an inconvenience for coming in to buy donuts. Please note, I was visiting from out of town, so I asked my brother-in-law how he felt, and was told he and others have felt the same way about the lady and that they believe her to be very dry. This donut shop is friendly , clean, and everything was VERY fresh. I ordered the ham jalapeño and cheese croissant and cream puffs , my son got his two donuts and (he doesn't care for sweets) but he scarfed these donuts ! I was getting a windshield replaced and found myself staring at a side of a building that offered Coffee and Donuts. It had been a long day and they had me at Coffee... I walked across the street and peered in to the window. It was empty. I was a bit nervous but then realized it was noon and anyone in their right mind would have not thought to eat donuts for lunch. Stopped in about 7am on a Tuesday morning. Selection was a little spotty- I believe they were in the middle of bringing out the next batch. I thought they were advertising that they were selling donuts and coffee but I did not think that was their name. They proudly serve Java City coffee and as you can tell with the signs they have everywhere in their shop, it is impossible to miss that they proudly serve Java City coffee. I ordered my first order through doordash and I'm going to need them to step up on how they list their menu. They have combination of donuts, however it doesn't give you the option to specially select which one. For instance the donuts are listed as raised/cake/old fashioned & they randomly choose a flavor for you. Either list them individually where you can select your favorite or when you list them combined like that have the option of which one can be selected. I ordered raised & they selected chocolate for me when I assumed I would get glazed & I didn't specify chocolate. I selected twist & they selected a sugar twist instead of glazed. I won't be ordering through doordash unless they update. I got donuts I didn't want. Lesson learned. read more
