This used to be Danny's Donuts but the food is still the same. They have the classic mini donuts but now you can only buy them in quantities of 6 or 12. You used to be able to get them in quantities of 4. They also sell fries, hot dogs, and ice cream. The ice cream is Gunther's ice cream. You order from a window and there's limited seating nearby. The service is quick. With Willie's closing down, this is maybe the only place in old sac with "fast food." Every other place to eat at is a restaurant.

First impression, so cute! As an Alicw in wonderland fan, I loved the name! We were passing by while going to the train museum. I decided to try some spiked doughnut holes! Amazing!!!! I felt them a little on the pricer side. 7$ for 8 doughnut holes but honestly, the price was worth it for those hot, melt in your mouth fresh doughnuts! Better than Krispy Kreme! The staff was super nice and gave me some cool stickers! I can't wait to go back again! Highly recommended!

I love it here! The donuts are soooo good and literally everything is made fresh every time you order!! The donuts melt in your mouth and the ice cream is bomb! They're under new ownership, so they've also expanded their menu. She's super nice and welcoming whenever I go in. They've started to add cute little decor and have neat things like a color changing spoon! The attention to detail is awesome!!

My friend suggested this was a different named donut shop but with the same tiny donuts. Lots of toppings, cinnamon, powdered sugar, glaze, and then # of donuts. I think 4 or 6 was the minimum. In Old Sacramento, a bit of a touristy area it was a nice find. Service was helpful and fast.

The Mini doughnuts were so good and just melted in your mouth! This place is a bit small, but the desserts come out quick. I will say that their Arnold Palmer wasn't the best, but the doughnuts are addictive!

10/10!! Visited at 10pm on a Friday evening and was serviced by the owner. He was very polite and welcoming. Explained his menu and told us a little background of his store. The doughnuts were so fresh, soft and comforting. Will definitely be back and would recommend!

After some savory lunch, I needed something Sweet. At that moment, I locked eyes with the words, "Mad Hatter" (mind you I'm a huge Alice in Wonderland fan). Reached the window/opening of the establishment and was greeted with wonderful service, with smiles, happiness and ready to assist. A+++ The smell and ambiance of the joint was deliciously delightful. Clean, clear menu and well organized and informed. Now onto the food item: I had the Mini cute size doughnuts! OG style. Freshly baked, warm, crispy outer with such an airy fluffy inside. The glaze was just sweet enough and the right amount to not over soak them in sugar. My Oh My, now this hit the sweet spot. I am definitely recommending this unique tasty dough'nuts! AND if I return to Sacramento, I will definitely be back to try the rest of the items on the menu. Overall Experience: A++++

Great little place to cure your ice cream and donut cravings. Bing cherry ice cream on a waffle cone was awesome, and donuts are hot and made to order. Yum!

A little ice cream, donut, and drinks shop next to the railroad museum in old town. They serve Gunther's ice cream! They have a ton of flavors and I got the Taro, which was pretty good! Rich ube flavor but didn't taste overly sweet. I also got a fresh lemonade for $5, which wasn't bad too, hits the spot on a hot day!

Umami!! Hot, crisp, soft and light. These mini donuts are umami in a bite!!! This is the third time I've been here and it's my go to snack when I'm walking around old sac. Not only is the donuts delicious , but the ice cream is silky smooth and packed with flavor. This quaint on-the-go dessert shop is worth the wait. Don't be discouraged if there is a long line, there's a reason :) -numerous ice cream flavors -plenty of donut options with different flavors I.e cinnamon, glazed, regular etc -they also sale hot dogs Other: -$$ -takes almost any card and has tap to pay -drinks (water, soda, etc) -no bathrooms -parking limited in old sac - park in parking lots

Decided to try the doughnuts and the doughnuts that me and my mom got were really good. Will be coming back again. The owner was really nice.

Cool little drop in ice cream place after a day chasing the little guy around the railroad museum. Very friendly staff, and the lemon freeze was amazing. Definitely a place to cool off when it's hot out!

I've stopped by this donut shop on a few occasions and noticed they no longer sell "donut holes" but instead they are called "knots". Basically fried dough in the shape of a knot avail in different flavors. The OG glaze and powdered flavors were very sweet but so good! The knots are fried to a crisp, with a chewy texture. There is a cashier that sits at the open window that will take your order and answer any questions you have about their donuts, she's helpful and greeted us with a smile. The ambiance is a fast food vibe as it's just an order window for food to go with a bench out front offering limited seating. There is no inside seating. Good place to stop by for tasty donut knots if you're strolling old sac.

Yes it was - Danny apparently "retired" and the new owner seems very friendly. We were able to get new types of donuts (I really liked them) and the former kind (my wife loves these).

Funny thing is that years later when I had kids, none of them really loved breakfast sandwiches, so there was a long window of time when I just didn't eat them very much. Now of course they are adults and their palates have finally developed and they love breakfast sandwiches as much as I do, though now they prefer the fancy ones vs the cheap ones I grew up on. That brings us to Camellia Coffee Roasters. Just about every foodie person I respect or ranking article I came across on the subject always ranked this shop as a top 2 or 3 spot for breakfast sandwiches in the Sacramento-area.So you know I had to try em out. They are located in the historic R street district of Sacramento. They have their own parking lot, so parking is a breeze. Walking up to the shop they have both inside and outside tables for customers to enjoy their coffee and food. Both times I went to this shop there was a pretty good line to place an order and the line doesn't move too quickly but it's a pleasant environment-so it's not too bad to deal with. They do offer coffee and specialty drinks at their location-both times I ordered a hot mocha($7.00) Breakfast sandwiches here usually run around $13.50 and with that you get one item, either bacon, sausage or veggie and for $2.00 each you can add on additional items. So yes these sandwiches can get pretty pricey pretty fast. One of my visits, I also got a toasted everything bagel with cream cheese.($5.00) Here are some of the breakfast sandwiches we've tried: -a breakfast sandwich with bacon-sausage-veggie -a breakfast sandwich with bacon and veggie -a breakfast sandwich with bacon and chili verde pork Let's talk about em. First off the coffee is pretty good-solid mocha-had it twice and wouldn't hesitate to have it a third time-I liked it. My favorite breakfast sandwich is kind of obvious-the one with bacon-sausage and veggie. It truly was just made so perfect, the bread was so soft and pillowy with a great chew. The eggs were made so well, great texture, great flavor and it was the perfect amount where it didn't overwhelm the sandwich yet filled you up where you felt you were having a decent meal. The bacon, sausage, veggie combo might be too much for some but as a bonafide foodie who lives for awesome culinary experiences-this was the right combo-every bite was great and it was a bummer when it was gone. My second favorite was just the bacon and veggie-a lot of the same reasons, minus the extra benefit from the sausage, but still a truly standout sandwich. Here's the thing, the chili verde pork version was a weekend special and I mean no disrespect having it third ranked because it was an incredible dish, if those other two didn't exist, I would be screaming from the mountain tops telling others how great this was, but the other versions exist so this one's third. Overall, Camellias is a very special place serving a very special dish and we are lucky that a place like this exists in our city and I can say without a doubt that this is my favorite breakfast sandwich shop in Sacramento at this time.
