My friends and I used to come here a lot. This place was down the street from our work so every time we want donuts, we would come here. As always the donuts is fresh and delicious just like I remember it. The service is also excellent! They have the friendliest people working here. The place is pretty chill. They have a space to order the donuts and sandwiches. The place is clean and the donut is fresh. Also, the best and freshest crueller!! Soooo good!!

Date of Visit: 4.12.2025 Cuisine Type: Donut/Sandwich/Bagel Shop Vibe: Family-owned, mini-chain, local plaza, casual Cost: ~$5-$30 depending on what you order What I Ordered & How It Was: Dozen donuts: (Everything is as expected, its not new, its just classics) -Old fashioned chocolate/maple (crispy outside and soft denser inside)...I am biased. I love chocolate donuts and the texture contrasts -Boston Creme...standard -Apple Fritter...I don't really taste much apple -Blueberry Cake...standard with noticeable blueberry tidbits -Strawberry Cake...tart berry icing no actual strawberries -Chocolate Twist and circle...airier dough...something you can squeeze and it'll deflate into nothing -Eclair like chocolate...basically the old-fashioned but long so only one side has icing...it is more doughy than the old-fashioned Service & Atmosphere: Service: Friendly, Ordered at the counter they have a display for the donuts and other baked goods. Ambiance: The space is located at the end of a row of shops, next to Nanay's, a SDCCU bank, and just road. Nearby parking is minimal but there is a nearby parking lot within 4 minutes walking distance. The shop got this older like 90s decor and vibe. Goes to show reliability and consistency over time. Overall Thoughts: Best thing I ate: Old fashioned chocolate donuts Something to improve: Maybe more unique flavors? or even lean into the old fashioned texture into other flavors Would I come back? I don't normally come here for myself, but it is a solid choice for standard expected quality donuts that are sure to please any crowd!

Can't help myself... if there's a good donut to be had, I have to try out for myself! Completely out of the way, I've been wanting to give Donut Touch a try! This donut shop is deep in the heart of Mira Mesa, at the edge of the strip mall where Aldi is, but it's worth the trip! I would recommend getting there early, when I say early, try like before 10 am! I have yet to actually do that since I was able to only make it here cause I was already in the area. Each time it was slightly after 10 am, but before noon. The second time I visited, they ran out of the two things I had wanted to get... a chocolate old fashioned and a filled donut. On my last visit my hubs came with me we were able to get everything we wanted! A chocolate bar, chocolate old fashioned, half a dozen chocolate donut holes, blueberry filled powdered and a sugar donut. The chocolate ones of course are my picks and my all time favs! If this was in my neighborhood, I'd only pick up a couple of donuts for the hubs and I for the day. But since it's not, I have to grab a few extras! The hubs favs are usually coated in some sort of sugar... powdered, classic sugar or glazed, which don't last beyond a day and best eaten right away. Luckily for me, my favs still taste good, a day or two later! I always eat my chocolate bar right away. The bar is best eaten the day of. The chocolate old fashioned, is still delish the next day, and the chocolate donut holes, still yummy after a couple of days! But that's just me. I have donuts for days! :) It is a bit expensive at over $2 each donut and you have to be early to have your pick from a full selection of donuts, (the old fashioned may be sold out after 10am!) but if I'm close by, I'll make a stop here. Parking is right outside and I haven't had any issues with finding a spot right away. Staff is quick and friendly. The shop is simple, clean, well organized, everything you'd expect to pick up coffee, or breakfast and of course, donuts! 2024: 43

The donuts here are pretty tasty. If you don't come in first thing in the morning, you may not get the freshest or warmest donuts or pastries.. but they heat up well and are plenty delicious either way. The service here is pretty good, sometimes it's a bit awkward or off depending on how busy and who is helping at the register. It's a mom and pop type experience, in other words you go here for the desserts and food, not the experience. A few tables and smallish space for people to sit. Not the most comfortable if the line is long and people are stacked up against the seating area. Donuts are good 4.5/5 Krispy Kreme level good when fresh Bagels (according to wife) 5/5 she likes the onion bagel and everything bagel Value 3/5 they try to charge Krispy Kreme level prices, which discourages people like me from ordering more than a handful on each visit. It also discourages frequency of visits we are comfortable with. Yes, the sandwiches do use higher end meat (boars head) and the donuts are delicious, but you're in Mira Mesa... not Del Mar or La Jolla. Should price accordingly. Overall 4/5 this would be a 5 star donut shop if they didn't price out a big part of the community they serve. Sure, I'll splurge here on occasion, but I'd never come here daily or weekly because $$ money is tight everywhere and donuts tend to fall lower on the priority list.

I was actually pretty surprised with how much I liked my bagel sammich from here. They didn't have many options left since I came about an hour before closing time, but I still managed to order what I wanted. The sammich did get a bit expensive in my opinion, but they really stuff it so I was okay with it. All the ingredients were fresh and placed nicely around. I ended up trying one of their donuts as well and they were okay. Nothing special, but wouldn't be opposed to getting it again. I'm more likely to come for the bagel sammich again, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do so.

California dreamin- break your teeth on this bread
    Sarah L.

This review is for their deli sandwich. I ordered a California Dreamin sandwich. The bread was so hard and tough to bite, it was also so thick. On top of that, they barely give you any meat, just one thin layer of deli meat. The service was also strange, the lady walked away in the middle of my payment and she didn't even have another task to do. I'll probably never order a sandwich again. Their donuts are decent, nothing special.

A small shop serving donuts and bagels at a very good price. The apple fritter and Boston cream were both very good. My favorite was the old fashioned, it was super light.

Donuts aren't as good as the 4S Ranch location. Distinct difference. Also, the shop looks a little dirty.

Greenery everywhere, soft natural light, and such a peaceful energy. I ordered an espresso with a side glass of ice, and even *that* was an experience. The presentation was next-level: served on a beautiful wooden tray, and the tiny spoon had the cutest little leaf detail sprouting from it. It sounds small, but those thoughtful touches made it feel intentional and special: like they genuinely care about the ritual of coffee, not just the drink itself. I have some dietary needs, so I brought my own homemade creamer, and they didn't bat an eye. No awkwardness, no attitude: just kindness and flexibility, which I truly appreciated. The barista went above and beyond and actually brought our order out to our table, which felt so personal and hospitable. It's rare to see these days, and made the experience oh so special. My friend shared her muffin with me (true friendship behavior), and oh the raspberry goodness in baked form. Soft, not overly sweet, and scrupulous. The kind of muffin you think about later. Dot Cafe's perfect for that slow catch-up with a friend, a solo moment of calm, or a cozy little treat-yourself stop. Highly recommend if you love good coffee, beautiful presentation, and plant-filled spaces that feed your soul

Overall a 3.5 star experience as I do like the cafe ambiance and potential…read more Nestled in the suburbs of Carmel valley, we found Dot Cafe in a small shopping complex. It's a cafe that focuses on health and wellbeing which shows also in their calming decor and use of greenery and trees both inside and outside. The cafe is at the corner of the main street but the entrance and parking is in the back. They have a nice variety of breakfast, brunch, and lunch options to choose from. They also have a nice selection of teas and coffees. Although the food was fresh, some items missed the mark and were a bit on the pricey side. My wrap was supposed to come with a cucumber salad which was really just shaved pieces of cucumber with no flavor/dressing and the yogurt dip was plain with no mint flavor or cucumber in it as advertised. The chocolate croissant barely had any chocolate inside and the top layer was so flaky it all crumbled once we cut into it. I felt a bit ripped off for $6.25. The "strawberry" matcha tea was really bland and weak and I wish they asked me if I wanted any sugar added to it. Also the "strawberry" color was from beet not actual strawberry flavoring as I was hoping for. I did not feel it was worth $8.75. I also felt the lady taking orders and running the register was not warm or welcoming. Maybe I came on an off day but I didn't feel I got the 5 star experience other people are talking about.
