i go here almost everyday but today i went, noticed they skimped out a lot on my eggs and sausage and forgot my avocado. i went back in and aljendra was immediately offended and said she could only add the avocados. i asked for it to be remade and she kinda slid my box towards me and walked away. after this i just felt really uncomfortable with one the service two the way she made it carelessly slamming everything around. i went to get a refund and when i learned she was the ONLY manager there that could help me she started yelling at the associate next to her "did you remember to up charge her?" like for eggs and avocados. all loud and super passive. she kept repeating herself. after everything and i got my cash i i confronted her politely on the matter, how she shouldn't be slamming stuff when confronted with an issue she was super rude, gave dirty looks and made me as a the guest feel uncomfortable. i come here everyday, she knows who i am? this experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth and when i tried talking about how i felt and my issues, she said i wouldn't let her talk (she kept interrupting me) and then told me to leave. i would love to solve this later with someone else eventually. as someone who's worked in food their entire life it is unbelievable that a manager of a location can treat its guest and new employee so rudely. read more

My visit was a lucky one because I came to try one of their donuts with a maple topping and bacon, and when I came in, there happen to be only one left. The guy at the counter told me that they are the first items that flies out of there everyday, and for good reason too. Love coming here, I usually get their breakfast bagel sandwiches for breakfast or come around lunch for the turkey club sandwich. Really great bread variety most days (if you come after noon they might be out of the best breads) my favorite bread is their jalapeño cheddar! Also the bagels are really great too. First time here, but I wanna check this place out in the future. I came around 10:20 on a Friday (Donut Friyay!) And they still had a good selection to choose from for donuts AND bagels. Good stuff. They have a new cronut if you're interested. And blueberry donut! They also had a row of coffee urns of different roasts. I always love seeing a row of coffee, as long as they're kept filled, I'm cool with that. They make breakfast and deli sandwiches. They offer a selection of other caffeinated drinks too. Went there around 7am because I was craving a red velvet donut and some kona coffee. Fortunately, the parking lots not too busy in the morning. One other guy in front of me and the line was moving fast. I ordered a red velvet & kona coffee. I was muling over getting the maple bacon but ended up just those two. I've decided that it has the highest honor I can bestow on a donut: Best Glazed Donut in San Diego! Yeah, that's right, I said it! The dough is perfectly chewy, with the outside that is perfectly glazed. They also have a great "cronut", which is basically a croissant that is glazed. It doesn't seem like a cronut that I've had before, but whatever they call it, it's bomb. The filling they use for their raspberry donuts actually has raspberry preserves in it. Not just jelly. Anything glazed is amazing here! What's super cool is that they have a deli that makes great sandwiches! Um. How did I not realise that they make amazing sandwiches? I will claim to be confused by the donut reference in the name. Actually back when I lived here before I must have gone by this place a hundred times and never realised they have, you know, actual food. And... it's really, really good!! So they make their own fresh bread for the sandwiches here. And it's super legit. I mean these sandwiches are some of the better ones I've ever tried. Not like they are super fancy mind you, but quite tasty and satisfying. And really the bread makes all the difference. I got the roast beef with pesto on sesame and loved it. And yes they have donuts too. And they're not just doing morning batches so that when you come into the place in the middle of the afternoon they have already lost their super fresh amazingness. This WONDERFUL place has been around since as long as I can remember. We've always lived around the corner from it since I was really really small. The donuts are unlike anything I've ever had, and they haven't changed! I'm in my 30's now and still choose Donut Touch over all other donut places. They're always so fresh, so fluffy & delicious. The glazed twist is my favorite! The customer service is always wonderful and they are so quick! The coffee is also delicious. The place is located right across from the Credit Union. Took me a while of driving around the plaza to find the place, so just wanted to point that out. Plenty of parking. I got the sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. It's not terrible but not the best I've had. However, for the price of $5.25, it's a pretty good deal. The sausage to be a little salty, and along with the mozzarella, resulted in a croissant that's just a tad bit salty. But overall, it's not bad; although this isn't quite apples-to-apples comparison, the croissant is definitely better than the sausage, egg McMuffin from McDonald's. I haven't tried their donuts yet, but I'll post an update when I do. read more

Probably one of my favorite donut shops in Mira Mesa or maybe only in Mira Mesa. All their donuts are fresh, soft and delicious. My favorite is the blueberry donut and I love to get the donut holes. The donut holes are just as good at the donuts itself. I've gone and tried maybe donut holes in the past and nothing can compare to these ones. They're light and fluffy. I definitely am a fan of this place mostly because of their Boar's Head freshly sliced turkey sandwiches. I really love their sandwiches when I am craving a higher quality sandwich (and don't want to suffer through the weird taste that Subway gives me). I like the turkey and their freshly baked breads. Sandwiches here run around $8-10 which is a little pricey but it's worth it for convenience sake since I live close by. The donuts here are a-ok. There is nothing special about the donuts and the donuts are average-sized. The donuts are a little on the expensive side ($1.35 each if you get it individually). Parking can be hard during lunch time but in the morning, there usually is plenty of parking. read more

It took me 3 weeks to write this review, but it just bothers me sooo much. Mostly because I refuse to come here anymore as a matter of principal and I'm running out of places to get a decent breakfast in this area. I did give 2 stars because while their bagels and donuts are pricey, they are above average quality. Why will I never return? Their customer service. I am always pleasant to people who deal with customers because I know first hand how shitty people can treat them. But while the kids behind the counter can seem friendly enough, they can be super shitty and snarky. The little snot nosed punk behind the counter had the nerve to laugh in my face because I ordered a bagel while standing near the donut case. First of all, be careful who's face you laugh in because the next guy might not be as civilized as I am. Second, you have no set ordering policy. I have been in here many times and I can't get out of there without asking somebody if they've been helped or being asked myself...kind of chaotic. There are times when it is busy that if I had ordered the bagel at the the bagel case, I would have been cutting people in line. Just a suggestion, but maybe put up a few signs ( Order Here, Pay Here etc...) instead of humiliating customers because the can't read your mind. read more

Donut touch first off is a fantastic name for a donut shop and second it's a fantastic donut shop. This place is always packed in the mornings. They have a good selection of donuts you'd find at most places but I find to be made with a ton of love. My favorite is the cronut which is a glazed croissant so good !! However my true favorite thing in the menu is the New Orleans Muffalatta sandwich. They bake the bread in house and have a crazy good green olive spread that goes on it. There are not any good options for bagels in Mira Mesa. I was happy as could be when I found Donut Touch. They had nice, big bagels with stuff on them! You get it, right? For example, everything bagels should have lots of stuff on them. And, sesame bagels should have lots of sesame seeds on them. This place at least gets this part right. But the service here - hoo boy! It was once pretty ... consistent. It was never really a quick in and out, but everyone moved at a fair pace and I got what I paid for. However, in the last year, the kiddos have taken over and it's social hour there more than a business. Nothing is more infuriating than watching a couple teens gossip and play grab-ass rather than make sandwiches as orders pile up. It got to where I would do a drive-by before parking. If I saw what looked to be more than 3 or 4 people in line, I headed straight to Option B. What has sworn me off this place for the time being is that I have no friggin' idea how much my usual order is going to be. Everything bagel, cream cheese, tomato and onion. That is what I have ordered countless times here. Beats me how much it is supposed to be. The current range is anywhere between $3.80 - $6.40. I am not exaggerating in the slightest. Keep in mind a bagel with cream cheese was always $2.95 or $3 (looks to be $3.25 on the board my most recent visit last weekend). The tomato and onion seems to throw everyone off. One of the young female kiddos working there now rang up my usual order for $6.40. Reason and logic escaped the room. I explained for $6 I could get TWO bagels with cream cheese ... is tomato and onion more expensive than a second bagel? "I rang it up bagel with cream cheese and two add-on. That's $6.40." I told her, "I don't work here and don't know what add-on means on your register ... I do know that I order this exact thing all the time, and the tomato and onion is always less than a buck extra." Let me just point out that this review is solely for the donuts. It looks like they also serve sandwiches and bagels here. Service was fast, so that's what the 2 stars are for. They let us know they would be right with us and then shortly after, they were there to take our order. We decided to order half a dozen donuts for $7 since a single donut is $1.35. We ended up with 2 donuts with chocolate and rainbow sprinkles, 2 blueberry glazed donuts and 2 cinnamon roll donuts. Let's just say both my boyfriend and I lost our appetites after just a couple bites of each. We ended up tossing the rest of the donuts in the trash.
