Stopped here on the way to Legoland. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was great for what it was (a microwaved croissant sandwich). We also got a strawberry cake donut, plain cake donut and blueberry cake donut. All three of them were fantastic. Probably the best donuts we've had in about 5 years, moist and flavorful! My son had a yeast donut (chocolate frosted with sprinkles) and my daughter had the donut holes again all of them were spectacular. The true of the star was the man behind the counter. He was so kind and caring. My son ate one of my daughter's donut holes and she was crying, he came from behind the counter and gave her a new one. 10/10 service. I wish I lived closer. read more

First time buying donuts at this establishment, in my never ending quest to find the perfect donuts shop within driving distance. 30 minutes is not necessarily close, but with traffic and all the traffic lights in this area it is par the course. So far Donut Palace has earned the local area 5 star rating for donuts. Albeit they don't have a plethora of donuts to choose from, there was enough variety to satisfy any lover of donuts. The posted hours are until noon (12pm for those who are unfamiliar with the word - lol jk I think) and I arrived a little after 11am. The donuts I purchased were all still very fresh (2 thumbs up). We really liked the donuts, which included lemon and raspberry filled powdered, apple fritter, cinnamon roll, and a couple of glazed. The powdered, which were for me, were NOT overly sweet and the dough was fresh and soft, almost melting in my mouth. The wife enjoyed her apple fritter, which was on the small size, and cinnamon roll. The glazed were not overpowering sweet, like a Krispy Kreme (no thanks). There really are not many donuts shops in the area, besides numerous Dunkins which I was never fond of, so if I find one that bests this place I will review it and downgrade this one a star, but for the moment it's 5 stars and we will return. Me and my husband came by on oct. 19 2024, We got 2 donuts chocolate glazed, 2 croissant sandwiches one bacon egg and cheese and one sausage egg and cheese and apple juices The croissants where crispy and soft delicious! I have lived by this place for a year and a half and just realized they have kolaches! Whaaaatttt?! I lived in Houston for 14 years and always loved the kolaches at Shipley's Donuts. It's been almost 30 years since I've had one, and I was addicted!! I have only heard of them in Texas. I ordered 3, and they're only about $1.19/each. The owners (I think) are sooooo sweet and helpful. I adored them both. This is such a diamond in the rough. I tried a glazed donut too and it was perfection!! It was fresh and delicious! The location is not much. It's next to an old gas station. Parking can get a bit crowded. Inside it's small but they have a few tables for seating. The selection of donuts is ok, not quite as varied as a Dunkin' but the donuts taste so much better. Quality is very good. Prices are decent. For the weekday it is open at 5am which is nice. At about 830am on the weekday there was a small line but the wait wasn't bad. read more

Amazing donuts and amazing people! This is a family owned business with very sweet owners. Don't be deceived by the outer appearance of its location - the food will sweep you off of your feet. My favorite here is the cinnamon and glazed donuts. It's so fresh and it's not too sweet. Their croissant sandwiches are great as well. PLUS, they are very affordable. Better than any other donut shop, including Dunkin Donuts and Krispy Kreme. They sell out incredibly fast, so get there early. I can't wait to come back whenever I'm back in town. I have had donuts from places like Publix, Krispy Kreme, and a place in Plant City called Hole n' One. And they were O.K. But never in my life have I had donuts like the ones from the Donut Palace in Winter Haven. Please don't get this place confused with the knock off in Lakeland, off of Florida Ave. I have lived in Winter have for the majority of my life. I have even live on that side of town at one time. But I didn't know that this place existed, until my sister told me about it. This place has the best donuts on earth. I don't know of a place that has better donuts. They are always fresh. Their donut holes are like little, sweet, soft puffs of air. I want some Now!!! read more
