Kolaches are a Texas thing and I haven't had them in about 30 years!!
    Megan K.

I have lived by this place for a year and a half and just realized they have kolaches! Whaaaatttt?! I lived in Houston for 14 years and always loved the kolaches at Shipley's Donuts. It's been almost 30 years since I've had one, and I was addicted!! I have only heard of them in Texas. I ordered 3, and they're only about $1.19/each. The owners (I think) are sooooo sweet and helpful. I adored them both. This is such a diamond in the rough. I tried a glazed donut too and it was perfection!! It was fresh and delicious! I am so excited they are so close to home!!

BEST DONUTS EVER! We just had these donuts for my sons 11th birthday party and they were a success. Everyone was amazed by them.

JFC authentic home made donuts by a guy doing it for 40 years now... it's everything you want it to be all. You need to get yourself here!! The burrito was the size of your hand - I barely saw the egg and cheese in the burrito - It was ok but for the price4 it was not aq bad meal. They need to steam the flour tortilla IMO it makes teh burrito softer to eat. The grease you can taste it had the donut taste to it they use the same grease to fry the donuts and hashbrowns. I like the coffee here because its unlimited and fresh made in glass pitchers. I like the Coconut Creme creamer because it reminds me of how my mom love this creamer on her coffee. Also bought 6 pcs of donuts for $9.50 the owner gave me a free extra donut - Bought strawberry glaze, original glaze, cinnamon roll, apple fritter, chocolate french crueller, starwberry jelly, blueberry jelly. These donuts are known to be so tender and soft and light - that is why this place is popular with locals. It is asian owned and they are known for delicious light fluffy donuts.

Checked out this Winter Haven Farmers Market which is held on Saturdays from 9-1. This one, I…read moredecided to go bc the listing said it was until 3pm with more vendors bc of Mother's Day. I got there around 1:15 and they were packing up. I'm thinking they were packing up early bc of the rain coming which it did come before 2pm. The area is cute with the square of shops around and a coffee shop across the street. That's actually how I recognized that I'd been to this farmer's market years ago. They had different vendors including food trucks, candles, knick knacks, costume jewelry, art, etc. i didn't end up there very long since they were packing up. Check it out on a nicer day. I think that I'm good with visiting it, but my first impression was that it was a nice set up and there are trees for shade and free parking around. Of course dog friendly too.

This is more of a small flea market (x2 aisles) than a farmer's market. This is the second trip I…read morehave made here. There is/was one (1) booth selling fresh produce, having the monopoly (good for them I suppose) which is what a "farmer's market" is supposed to be about. All the other side items such as house plants, jewelry, baked goods, soaps, art work, etc are flea market type things; unless there are multiple produce selling vendors then I might give those others a pass for being part of a farmer's market. There is a vendor selling pickled produce, so I should give them a pass I suppose. I will admit that along with some fresh produce and pickled products I did buy some bread goods, a couple of jarred spice rubs and a snack. Yet that still does not take away from the fact this really is not, in my mind, a true farmer's market. Those we interacted with were amicable and no hard sales pitches were encountered. However, with the lack of produce stands and the small size of the venue I have to give this a 2 star (could've been better) rating as a farmer's market. Will I return? Probably, but I won't go out of my way unless I desire a certain product I can't find closer to home (such as the bread items, which were delicious.
