I ordered a cider as well, which was actually a guest tap from Blake's, but I appreciated that they had a cider option available. Grove Roots Brewery is in Winter Haven Florida. As far as breweries go, this is a solid choice if you are in the area. The tasting room is a good size and there is plenty of seating outside. Most of the parking is in the back, but there are a few spaces on the street in front. We came on a Saturday night and they are definitely kid friendly. There were food trucks, ice cream and Thai food. The Pad Thai I got from the food truck was super good. I never knew Thai food would pare so well with craft beer. The Rind & Shine Belgian Wit paired the best with the Pad Thai. The place was pretty packed and the service was top notch. You order your beer at the bar and take it with you. They kept up with the lines which was quite impressive. Seems like this is one of the social spots for people to hang out. Definitely a good time. This place has become one of my go tos when I visit Winter Haven. While they don't serve their own food (other than snacks) there is very often a food truck there, which has been different every time I have gone. All of the bar tenders are always super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about all of the different beers on tap. I have never had a beer here I didn't like, and they change some of them out depending on the season. They have a great outdoor area and the inside is very cozy. It's normally pretty busy when I go, but the noise level has never been too much. They are also dog friendly which is great because I always bring my dogs with me. Family food adventure with a part 2!!! We came here to try Chubby Wubby's food truck, check out review on my page!!! For the drinks we had to go to Grove Roots, Chubby Wubby's does not have drinks, please be advised!!! The drinks were pricey, of course that's what they sell. We got 2 soda's, 2 bottles of lemonade and a small glass of wine The soda's were in coolers and self serve, they did not have a huge selection, 3$ a can Lemonade came in a glass bottle was a specialty lemonade and were 4$ a bottle. The wine for a small maybe 8oz = 1 cup it was $6 for a sangria (dark, they did not have white) $23 w/tip, b/c of course you have to leave a few dollars for pouring a glass of wine! I looked over their selection and they did have allot of options for beer, but we are not beer people, unfortunately you'll have to try these for yourself, LOL!!! The outside area is very nice, as long as it's not too hot as I did not see any outdoor fans and it is quite large so there is plenty of space to have some around the tables. It was not too busy for the evening hours, there was room to move around and not feel squished like at a bar, not sure about later in the night tho as we left by 6pm. read more

Very wide variety, both times I was able to easily find a beer that everyone in my party would enjoy. Great place! Came here on a Thursday night where they sponsor a fun run/walk (1.5 miles or a 5K). There were about 12-15 people who ran. There is no need to be fast - we were not! Really good brewery in the heart of downtown Winter Haven. This was my first visit and I tried eight of their brews via two flights of four. The lip ripper and peanut pickers were my favorites. They have a pretty large property both inside and out to hang out and sit around. Many people bring their dogs, there were probably too many dogs the night I was there as there was more than a bit of barking going on. Had a food truck that night - Sikes Southen BBQ. Neat brewery tucked in the Winter Haven area! After a recent visit to Bok Tower Gardens where we got to try their beer, we decided to visit the brewery (about 30 minutes away from Bok Tower Gardens). Both the outside and inside parts of the building are huge, so plenty of room for social distancing. It has a modern industrial vibe. There is a brew here for everyone, from IPAs to amber ales, to witbiers and brown ales. We went after they just opened, so the staff were great--willing to answer questions or have you try the beers. If you are just passing through, they do offer affordable crowlers to go as well as growler fills. The outdoor area was very cute and on the night we visited, there was a food truck there. It has a lot of charm with the bulb string lights and patio atmosphere. I really enjoyed sitting under a tree drinking the white IPA and flagship witbier with oranges. I would say I could recommend this place, but naw... A darn good time is having a cigar and stout beer in a small town setting. The reason for such a bad review, the female behind the counter request to have me move 50 yards from the door to enjoy a cigar with a good beer. The patio is a large one and And long, not near the door of Grove. I had already noticed her body language / attitude and did not light it up. Nor did I have it out in hand, rather in my Corona cigar bag. I'm sure some folk have had issues with customer service at the Grove. Some chose to just leave it be. However, I want people to know, and be the judge for themselves. It's was her attitude and if there is not a sign then don't tell a customer to go to another portion of the property to enjoy a cigar. Especially if they will be stay and spending even more money. But as I say I observed the vapors go down. It's there choice but not a customer friendly choice. Yea there is a small no smoking sign in several places on the entry way. Besides, they always have kids in and out of the place. Another issues for me. I highly recommend going when there is a food truck; which you can find out on their social media pages. There are also sometimes events or live music happening! One thing I love about grove roots is their community-friendly atmosphere. I love the different options of drinks. The bartender, who was from Connecticut, was so disrespectful on several occasions that I didn't drink my last beer that I had just ordered I just paid my bill and left. The last comment was "Just because he has a beard doesn't make us all the same".
