My husband and I stopped in here after a long day at LEGOLAND having walked by the night before. He was in the mood for pizza and unfortunately when we walked in, the girl said they were "swamped" and weren't taking orders until the cook caught up. Never heard of that before and didn't find it very customer friendly. We ended up having to wait like 30 mins or more to even put in our order. When you're hungry and looking for pizza, that's the last thing you want to hear. When if finally came out though, it was very good. It is a pretty cool concept and I'd definitely recommend stopping by when you're in town. They just need to improve the customer service aspect. read more

Grabbed dinner after Nitro Bingo in downtown Winter Haven. As a group we ended up ordering three pizzas, two Pressed Havana's (Cuban Sandwich), and two orders or totts. One truffle and one regular. The pizzas were the Pesto Perfection (pictured) and the other two were both The Amalfi. You order at a main counter as you walk in. The vibe is casual modern with wood tables with metal chairs. High top and regular. There's a bookshelf with various games available to play. You can get a wristband to basically open a tab and use your wristband to help yourself to a wall of beers and ciders. You pay by the ounce which your wristband tracks for you and you settle up when you're done. This post is really about the pizza. While the Pesto Perfection didn't come with the arugula (as described on the menu), honestly didn't miss it. The crust was thin perfection. Crispy but just thick enough. The crust had the slightest chew. The prosciutto was salty and paired well with the feta and pesto. read more

I missed checking in here but my wife and I stopped by the other night. We were a little taken back (and hangry) when we arrived and were told that we couldn't order. So I went to grab a beer in hopes that would hold me over. I sampled a few but fell in love with the Yeasty Brews white stout. We've been to that brewery in Fort Lauderdale and loved it, their beers are great. A little after finishing my beer, the manager came over and let us know that we could place our order. My wife went up to the counter and ordered us a few pizzas. When she finally got the text that it was ready, it was most definitely worth the wait. It was probably the best pizza I'd ever had. I enjoyed another beer then headed on for some ice cream next door just as the kids woke up from their naps. Great spot with a great concept. You come in, put a card on file, get a wristband that keeps track of the total number of ounces you drink, grab a glass and choose whatever you want to pour yourself! You pay by the ounce and can have sips of all that is available! The menu includes pizza (thin or cauliflower), salads, sandwiches and appetizers. We had the chicken/bacon/ranch with olive oil. It was thin crust and cooked to perfection! The chicken wings were also hot and crisp! We chose parmesan and garlic. They can book your gathering/event and it seems like they can hold about 100 people or more. The place has good vibes and friendly employees. Definitely a do-again! read more

Super cute taproom! It's got great ambiance, couches, long tables, and decent outside seating. It feels very comfortable and is family-friendly. The beers, ciders, and wines they have on tap are delicious and range from 65 cents to 75 cents per ounce. It can get a little pricey, but it's also really easy to try a bunch of different beers and figure out what you like or don't like. I've tried the Cuban sandwich and the Hawaiian pizza - both really tasty, but I liked the pizza better. It definitely felt like a better value for the price. But let me tell you about the food! Everything is made by Nick, who is a rising star! He made the most incredible nachos I've ever had, on top of a beautiful pizza with handmade dough he makes every day! The flavors on everything were exceptional. Nick and Daniel took a crappy night and turned it around. The ambiance was comfortable and casual and super clean and tidy. Thoughtful, helpful, wonderful people and a wonderful experience. It's the blending of the 2 great tastes that taste great together. First off the Taproom a "pour your own" type of place allowing you to sample many different brews without getting to hammered. LOL. Pour by the oz. Great concept so you never have to wait. Great selection of brews and plenty of seating, even couches. I can just hear the "Friends" theme song. Now on to the pizza many choices and even a build your own. Alternate items as well in case pizza is not your thing. If it's not shame on you. If it is you will love this pie. Cooked in a drop down door oven so you know it's good not like those wimpy wood fired ovens. The real deal. Pizza was so good and filling had to stay awhile to let my food digest. Went for the first time with a friend and we both absolutely loved it. You get a bracelet and you get to try as much of each beer you choose and at the end you pay per oz which to me was very cheap. I love trying new beers and usually overpay per glass or do the tasters which I force myself to finish in order not to waste it. We were greeted immediately by a pretty little girl originally from Akron Ohio who gave us the rundown and helped us through out our visit. The pour your own idea and charging by the ounce really lets you explore multiple options to find your favorite. This used to be our de facto spot on Thursday's. The beer selection is always good. And in the beginning the pizza folks were consistent. Now the orders get messed up and the pizza isn't prepared right. It's a coin toss weather your order will be prepared right or not. Consistency is key for venues like this. The pizza smelled delicious, but we did not get one as we had dinner plans already (dang it). We trued to go the next day but they were closed between 3-4 I think it was to set up for dinner. The food is fantastic! My favorites are the giant pretzel, the Cuban sandwich or the Mushroom Truffle pizza. There is a good selection of ciders on tap and even a delicious non-alcoholic root beer on tap when I'm not in the mood for cider. I've enjoyed several trivia nights but also enjoying going to just hang out with friends. The staff is friendly and welcoming. When it isn't too hot, there is also a great outdoor space. read more

I've lived here for most of my life until I went to college, and let me tell you that I never imagined that I see the day that Winter Haven became hip or trendy. However, I'm glad to see the day and be well over 21 to enjoy it! This taproom is spacious for big groups and tasteful with its decor for the Instagram pictures. The neatest feature is being able to self-pour! For someone who went to school in Gainesville, resided in Tampa, and frequents Orlando, I've never seen something quite as unique as this. The best thing is that they don't skimp out of the different kinds of beer of available so I had the ability to try about four stouts, which is plenty. The staff is friendly, there is live entertainment, and food trucks that come through so there's really no excuse not to like it. This is already a favorite for me and my siblings when we visit home and I know that it'll be yours too! read more

Light turns green and you can pour as much or as little as you want. It cuts you off after I think 32 ounces, but you just have to go back up to the counter. Got a little loud of course, it was Friday, but they had great live music. Found out afterwards that there was outdoor seating too. How many times have I been here? Gosh I don't know, I've lost count. The fact that they have 40 items on tap, many of them rotational, is a blessing. I say many, not all, as they have things other than beer. Such as kombucha, wine, cold brew coffee, I am unsure if those rotate. I am really quite picky on what I pour, and like the fact that I can do taste sized pours before going in on a tap that I've never tried. There are all kinds of fun events, including a night market once a month and live music. The gals that staff the place are also pretty awesome. My ONE complaint would be that they WERE on untappd, and were having issues with it, so stopped using it. I live 15 minutes away, and only go in when I know there's something new, or something unusual that I want to try. So Untappd was nice, now I just roll in once a week, and take a look before I plunk down my cc and grab a wrist band. I guess that's really a good thing, as it cuts back on my intake a bit? read more
