My husband and I walked passed this place on Saturday and I said we needed to get some immediately (we are really into doughnuts). He did a quick search and saw that it got good reviews, so into the shop we went. He got an original glaze and I got strawberry with sprinkles. As we left and continued our walk, we ate our doughnuts with pleasure - so warm and tasty! Needless to say, 2 days later I went back and got 4 more doughnuts! Would definitely get them again the next time we are in town for a visit.

We had a weekend staycation in Waikiki and my in-laws mentioned that they enjoyed the donuts from Donut King. I decided to give it a try. I went in the evening around 4 pm, and I was the only there. I decided to get one donut since I didn't want to go crazy. I went ahead and shot for their Ube coconut donut. It was pretty good. It wasn't my style of donut batter but I appreciate the Ube flavor and coconut shavings. Service was good and ambiance was okay. This is more of a grab 'n go type of place.

Without reading any reviews prior to visiting Donut King, I never thought I'd stroll into here to try out. But thanks to Kona Coffee Purveyors across the street being so packed I decided to bend the knee to the King. We walked by it so many times and it just looked like a standard boring donut shop. Nothing spectacular on the exterior, no huge lines, no influencers recording and photo taking, just an average donut shop. But Donut King did not disappoint--the donuts had the perfect fluff and softness. They were really tasty donuts. What caught be off guard a bit was their croissant bites. Thought at first they were just small mini croissants but they're also glazed. Something definitely different about it--it was just really tasty overall. Either way, Donut King was definitely worth a stop in if you're craving donuts. Cheers

Some of the best coffee I had while in town! My husband and I popped in for a quick breakfast. We purchased two donuts, some donut holes, and a vanilla latte. Pricing was a little high, but it's also in the touristy area so that's expected. The service was great. Would come back!

While walking to Marugame Udon on Kuhio Avenue in Waikiki, I spied Donut King Waikiki. I peered into the small sized donut shop to see if it has the Cronut bites. The sweet employee informed me they had the bites available. The price was more than the Market City location. I picked up 6 pieces to go. I bit into one and I noticed the crunch and texture wasn't quite the same freshness as the Market City location. Good to note. Service was 5 stars. Ambiance is 3.5/5 stars. Clean but small location. Food: 3/5 stars

Donut King was a random stop-by, and I'm glad that I did! I saw this from across the street, early in the morning, and thought that I should give them a try. They had a nice selection of both yeast and cake donuts - I tried their Original Honey Glaze yeast donut, and it was delicious! It was unbelievably airy and soft, and it had the right amount of the honey glaze on it. Slightly at a higher price point (but, what isn't in HI?), this was a nice little treat in the morning. Staff were efficient and friendly. Definitely stop by early in the morning for fresh donuts and more of a selection. +tasty Original Honey Glazed yeast donut

Service is fast and I had a good experience with the employees! The donuts are so soft that they practically melt in your mouth. So delicious! This is a grab and go location. There is no indoor seating or restroom.

We were spending the day in Honolulu, exploring the sights of the city. We came across the Donut King. A mid morning snack! When I saw the Ube donut covered in chocolate, I had to have it. Ube keeps calling my name. It was delicious. If you're on Wikiki and have a taste for donuts, this is the place. 116

Wow! The donuts here are SO GOOD. The donuts are made fresh (you can see the bakers at the cash register rolling dough/ making the donuts). Not to mention the donuts are fluffy and soft, not too dense. Honestly such a chefs kiss! My husband and I came 3 days in a row to grab a donut and a coffee. If you're in the area, definitely a must try!

Sweet and soft donuts at a reasonable price. Service quality depends on the staff, though. On our first visit in the morning, despite spending over $30, the staff didn't provide a box for the donuts and seemed a bit annoyed. That was disappointing. However, during our other two visits, the staff were kind and welcoming. In Waikiki, it's hard to find a croissant of this size for $6.50--this place might be the only one! Local vibe, no frills -- just good donuts to go.

Donut King Waikiki Hawaii Food: Tried the Mochi donut for the first time and they live up to the hype. I believe they're made from potato's... nevertheless really delicious. Service: The woman that helped us was so friendly, service with a smile Ambiance: The wall art was really cool, kids would love visiting this establishment.

We just finished eating a burrito from Konos and saw a line here... must be something going on, so being the Asian that I am, I decided to wait in the line, must be good right? I got 2 donuts- the Cronut with coconut flakes and the ube coconut flakes one. They were both delicious! Super sweet, super fluffy, and fresh. If you need a sweet breakfast treat, this is it.

This place was across the street from my hotel and had maybe 5 people in line and a bunch of accolades in the window. Of course even though I already ate I had to sample a few of these basic looking donuts. These were quite possibly the best version of these donuts I've ever had in my life. There's something about the dough that isn't the same as usual, there is chewiness to it. I really liked them and they were filling without giving me heartburn. The frosting did not taste artificial which was a big plus.

I don't really have a sweet tooth-I'm a no icing, no frosting kind of girl. I wouldn't dream of eating a cinnamon roll with icing, that's a no for me. But their donuts are delicious all the same and can definitely scratch the itch if you do have a sweet tooth. As someone who's vegan, it can be hard to find a dessert I actually feel good about, and this is one of those places. Everything is taro-based and cooked in coconut oil, which I really appreciate. Just a heads up-all of their donuts are taro donuts. The flavors come from the toppings, so if you see something like a strawberry one, the donut itself isn't strawberry--it's the topping. Their offerings change, ( they do have their core donuts that don't change-and I usually go for one "naked"--no glaze. Sometimes I'll get the honey and sea salt one. If you don't want a whole donut--or you're eating in your car and don't want to make a mess--their little donuts called Holeys are the perfect pop-in-your-mouth option. The place has always be well kept and clean - and they have a very spacious, and equally as clean, bathroom. They also have an app where you can check the menu, keep track of your rewards, and manage gift cards, which makes it really convenient. Also, if you're not signed up for their rewards program, do it. You're basically passing up free donuts if you don't. Give them a go, share your experience and if your taste buds celebrated. SYOY! We now see a For lease sign on one of the greatest Donut shops there is! This dedicated, friendly, consistent owner, his wife, and child was a great honor to have met in my lifetime. I and my fellow colleagues frequent this perfectly hidden Gem buying dozens of Donuts for the team these past 6 years. Prior to that I would visit this shop on my own going to and returning from work as a daily regime. This place was very much loved by everyone you passed by in and out of this business. Donuts, Bear claws, Cinnamon rolls and so much more. Such a sad sad loss that this family owned business is no longer with us. I can personally say for 10 longs years , Mr Donut you satisfied my sugar cravings and I will never forget you. Where ever you are, God Bless you.

Mr. Donuts is your more classic donut shop, but that doesn't take away from what they offer which is goodness in each bite, my favorites are the oreo white frosting one, the claw and the fritter, but nearly all of them have great taste. You can follow them on Instagram and order through messaging, pay with PayPal or Venmo and let him know when you will be there (park on the street, he will tell you where) and they come and bring them to you. Excellent service, price ($20 for a dozen), and taste there's a reason why I come from Kaneohe to grab my Donuts .

I love Pipeline Bakeshops Malasadas! I have been to several Malasada places in Hawaii but | love…read morethere's the best for the following reasons: 1. the size of the malasadas: some restaurants tend to make their Malasadas smaller and when places do this it ruins the overall texture and quality of it. The bigger the malasadas size the more airy and fluffy and more bread layers that will be inside. 2. their malasadas always taste fresh and the same quality each time. 3. their malasadas don't feel oily or heavy at all Overall I would highly recommend this place for their Malasadas! I'm so happy to have found them. I can back multiple times on my trip. They also have other desserts too that I have yet to try. They have ice cream, cakes, and other desserts Also tip: if you are ordering a malasada also order a coffee or a matcha drink to go with it. The cinnamon sugar from the malasada just matches so perfectly with a drink this restaurant is also a nice place for walking! There's lot of stores and restaurants to walk around! I'm trying to remember but I think there was a book off that was not too far from here! If you either drive or maybe walk. Service: staff was super helpful and friendly while I was there. I was having an issue with my online order because my phone was being glitchy and they were so nice in helping :) Also wanted to note their branding is so cute!! They even sell merch items too

However, there are many alternative malasada purveyors throughout Honolulu, so I depended on local vloggers to find the best ones. This one popped up often on YouTube, and as luck would have it, we were dining at The Pig & The Lady on the next block. How calorifically convenient. We took the opportunity to stop by for a pre-dinner snack since they closed at 6PM. It's a cute shop with multiple sweets including quite a selection of housemade ice cream and delectable mouthfuls called Cake Bombs (Photo 10). We decided we would be good and ordered one unfilled Malasada each. Dusted with various sugar flavors, they were just $2.65 a piece. I went for the Coffee, while Jamie chose the daily special, Cinnamon (Photo 6). They were soft and tasty, quite comparable to Leonard's albeit a tad smaller. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing since we had dinner ahead of us. However, we let temptation get the best of us and shared a $5.50 slice of the Ube Haupia Mac Nut Bar, a yummy combination of sweet potato and ube topped with haupia (coconut milk pudding) on a macadamia nut crust (Photo 9). Truth be told, it stole the show from the malasadas. FOOD - 4 stars... the malasadas were good, but that ube dessert was next level AMBIANCE - 4 stars...really a takeout operation with a lot of temptations SERVICE - 4 stars...very calm and orderly TOTAL - 4 stars...yet another spot for sweet Hawaiian decadence RELATED - Exploring Hawaii?
