They have a large variety of pastries from eclairs to cinnamon buns. The bread is really soft and fresh! I ordered a jumbo jalapeño dog and a cinnamon bun. I think they gave me a pig in the blanket instead because it wasn't very jumbo. The cinnamon bun was good but I wish I had got it warmed. I'm not sure if that is an option or not. Donut King items are delicious, not too sweet. Over time I've noticed that the size of the donuts shrunk but the prices have increased. (I guess it's the sign of the times). I kind of like it better than Dunkin . I wish there were donut holes in this flavor. Red velvet- 3/5 stars. I ordered 3 dozen donuts. 1 box original glazed, 1 box chocolate/strawberry glazed and then an assorted dozen. They charged me for 2 assorted dozens which is $5 more. When I asked why was I charged more when the sign says chocolate/strawberry dozen $15.99 they said because it was an assortment. I said no, it's literally half chocolate and half strawberry. They then said it had to be all the same flavor. lol. Crazy when it's literally the exact same thing. I'll be going to a different mom n pop next time. read more

Donut King is a staple in the Snellville community. I love supporting small businesses and this is one of my favorites. Anytime I bring in breakfast to work I always come here to get it and everybody at work requests them. I like to say I'm a regular because they know me and my daughter by name. The lady at the front always gives my daughter an extra donut hole and it makes her smile every time. The donuts themselves are always fresh you can even see them making them in the back. Whenever I'm in Snellville I always pass this donut shop but it's always after they close. On this day I manage to catch them maybe 40 mins before they close yay for me! First time in didnt have 2 dozen glazed at 745 am, so instead of 12.99 Paid 16.99 a dozen for a mix of what they had. Taste was delish,light, airy. Didnt like the fact that the "filled" long Johns were more $$ . .all 4 had white icing marked on each end, but only one end of each had less than a bite of filling. So basically none were filled. Came to this hiding gem today for some apple fritters. I heard they are the BEST ever BUT unfortunately we got there to late and they where all gone. Luckily my friend called ahead and had Ken hold us some cinnamon twists. By the time we arrived they were closed but Ken waited on us and let us in. He had our cinnamon twist waiting and advised us to come early for the fritters because they are the first to go. I also tried the pigs in the blanket while we were waiting. The bread that its wrapped in is sweet and super soft and the hotdog/sausage has cheese in it. It melts in your mouth soooooo good! The cinnamon twists are huge and soft with a nice sweet glaze on them. I enjoyed every bit. They open at 5:30am and close at 1pm so try to get there early so you don't miss out. Amazing Place!!! This place has been here since 1992, and I've driven past here a million times. Today my Husband and I decided to stop in. We ordered a custard filled donut, white cream filled and strawberry filled. I ordered an apple fritter, lemon filled and a cinnamon roll. I went on a Saturday, around noon just before closing and they had some variety left and I wasn't disappointed. Don't come here seeking over-hyped fancy-schmancy-namey decorated donuts with big prices as Donut King keeps to the tried and true donut basics most everyone can enjoy; their filled donuts (long johns and regular sized) are filled with customer's choice of filling when ordering, so ask what filling they have ready (cream, custard, strawberry, raspberry, etc.). Service is fast and friendly and they do have a few indoor tables to sit at. Place is small but very clean! Prices are a real bargain (assorted dozen under $8.00)! Location is very near the intersections of HWY 124 and 78 in Snellville; they are on the 124 side of the shopping plaza with Provino's, Smoothie King, and Big Lots right between the Regions Bank; look for their new and more colorful sign than the one pictured on Yelp (I have tried to upload a current photo from my phone, but it just wont work). Man, just to think I almost gave up on this city for good eats. Tiny little doughnut place that you would've just mistakenly passed by unnoticed. They've changed their sign a bit for the better with lots of LED lights to catch your attention, so be on the lookout next time you pass the intersection of 78 and 124. If you're not one of too sweet, go for the glazed. They are light and just oh so fluffy that is to die for. The blueberry is my favorite. It wasn't dense but light, you can tell the flavor of blueberries at the first bite. Not too hard, nor greasy. I need to make another trip here when I'm around. I passed by this small mom and pop shop all the time and never really bothered to go in, mainly cause I usually go get my coffee and doughnuts from QT in the morning, but after trying these, I wouldn't mind going an extra 5 miles for them. When I came in I was lucky enough to get some hot fritters and glazed yeast doughnuts, and I ended up getting a dozen and took it to work. It's really cool cause you can actually see them making fresh donuts. If anyone is going to get doughnuts, you better make it worth it and get something fresh, nothing stale/ pre-made from DD or Krispy Kreme.
