I'm giving 2 stars because of the brunch food. Just an FYI I'm a vegetarian and I'm in the process of cutting out all animal products, therefore, I'm trying out vegan spots and cook a lot of vegan food. I also ended up taking my sister so she could see what vegan food is about. 1. My sister had the breakfast burrito. The breakfast burrito was an absolute texture nightmare, the coconut rice was gross and mushy, the tofu was completely bland, the random spicy curry sauce was unblended & completely overpowered everything. Just really one of the worst burritos I've had in my life. She couldn't get past two bites before throwing it out. I also bit it, and I agree with everything my sister said. 2. I got the tempeh reuben sandwich and it was equally bad with bland soggy fries. It was edible and I finished half of the sandwich with a ton of hot sauce but I threw out the other half. I legitimately could not finish it. I think king oyster mushrooms would be a better substitute for the "bacon". 3. The donuts are AMAZING & deserve to stand alone. The lemon one was absolutely incredible. If I would've only purchased the donuts I would've given Donut farm 5 stars. There's a price range from $3.00, $3.50, $4.00, and $4.50. I think they're reasonable prices for how good they were. The only one that was okay was the chocolate coconut. In conclusion, the food needs a lot of work. I know this is a small business, but please taste the food that comes out . The sandwich was $18 and the burrito was $16. I never complain about the prices from small business owners because I love to support but it was expensive for the quality of food I received. Unfortunately the customer service was NOT a pleasant experience. We were not greeted upon entrance. Seems like gentlemen was uninterested in being present there and assisting with questions we had. (our first time visiting. ) They also ran out of chikkn by 12pm... we tried the blueberry donut, chocolate, and chocolate with coconut. Donut Farm def piqued my interest on vegan donuts and I got to try their yeast-raised donuts, which are a Fri-Sun special only. I got an apple fritter, original glazed and chocolate frosting and they were gooood. Couldn't even tell they were vegan. I couldn't tell if there were apples in my apple fritter which was a little disappointment. I deffo liked the original glaze the most, but theyre best eaten fresh! The donuts were delicious. The donuts have NO seed oils, they are Fried in palm oil and the glazes use olive oil. The guy at the register was very helpful and Friendly. I was excited to try out Donut Farm after hearing about it being the best place to get vegan donuts! Came by around noon on a weekend. Donut Farm is located in a small shopping strip. Parking is limited but I was able to snag a spot despite it being the weekend. Service was pretty fast. Took a little bit to decide, but once I knew which ones I wanted to try, the guy was fast at boxing and checking out. The donuts range in pricing from $3 and up. Their fancier donuts are $4.50 a pop. There was a sign noting that all donuts are made vegan, organic, and nut free. I tried the plain glazed ($3), meyer lemon ($3.50), and matcha ($3.50) donuts. My favorite was the meyer lemon which had a nice bright citrus flavor. The plain glazed were good as well. Would not recommend the matcha one though - it didn't taste like matcha green tea at all unfortunately. The donuts were pretty good, especially as vegan baked goods. Still probably the best vegan donut in the Bay Area that I've experienced! However, at their new Adeline Street location bring cash as a backup--the friendly lady at the counter let me know that their internet connectivity was out (and even hotspotting via phone wasn't working with poor signal in the building) and that this has been a recurring issue at the new place. Didn't get to grab everything I wanted to since I don't typically have much cash on hand if I'm not expecting to need it, but my non-veg husband was very impressed with the donuts I got and didn't realize they were vegan until he saw me eat one. I got all raised donuts, because while their cake donuts are great, raised is where it's at for me--when you're allergic to eggs, you really hone in on the things you miss most, LOL. Donuts are organic, so don't expect bright crazy colors (I get what people mean when they say the colors are drab, but that's a plus in my book not to have weird dyes in my food). New spot doesn't have any seating space, so it's really for pickup only (no more brunch, I guess). They're probably still moving in as the storefront itself is easy to miss with the paper partially covering a lot of the windows, but they did bring along some of the fun decor from their older places (I miss the giant pink donut, though). You must be lying to me. This was one of the best vegan donuts I've ever had didn't know it was vegan until well after it was finished. The staff was friendly and great to talk to. She helped me make a very difficult decision get a coffee, donut or a maple donut. Just so everyone knows the answer moving forward should be both. Fresh off the plane we decided to stop off for donuts on coffee as we made our way to Napa Valley and I am glad I found it. The coffee was amazing & fresh! I haven't had coffee this strong and flavorful in awhile. The matcha coffee was also delicious. They only have options for Hot Matcha but they also have cold drink options, some with CBD. When my Berkeley-native friend suggested vegan donuts for dessert, I was honestly pretty hesitant. He swore they tasted amazing and convinced me to try them. My group of 9 popped in to Donut Farm on Saturday afternoon around 20 minutes before closing. There were plenty of metered street parking spots close to the shop. The interior is simple and no fuss. Aside from some solidity and chewiness and swallabity it's hard to tell they're vegan. Price is about double or triple that of non vegan Lee's. But these definitely look more handmade and high end. I stumbled upon this place after picking up something nearby. It's a small storefront but easy to find and with street parking. The young woman working was super friendly, explaining her favorite flavors to me. They do raised donuts on the weekend which I'd love to try. I tried two of the "premium" donuts (earl grey and pumpkin, which is seasonal), and four of their regular donuts. They were all really delicious, like a cross between an old fashioned and cake donut. Be careful to check their hours by calling. Their website and front door say they open at 7:30am. My kid needed a vegan treat for his birthday at school, so we arrived at 7:40am. The front door also says they open at 7:30am. There were people inside, who surreptitiously looked at us, but who also pointedly ignored us standing outside in the cold. Ordered a dozen on Doordash for a little shelter in place celebration. You cannot pick which donuts you'd like, instead they guarantee to pick the best of what they have and surprise you. $48, which included the delivery fee. Unfortunately, it felt like we got the day old dozen. Everything was super stale. There is no menu to tell you what you've got, and no pictures found on their website. We decided to make the most of it and just do a fun taste test and guess our way through. All of our donuts were sweet, sometimes cloyingly sweet, and we just couldn't determine any flavor differences. Sometimes we noticed that a few had a bit of a crunch on the outside and that was fun. One donut must have been blueberry because we saw half of one sticking out of the icing, but no more to be found, and it didn't flavor the cake at all.
