The line on a Saturday is a long one. So, be prepared to wait in line, however, it moves pretty quick. People don't just come here for the donut. They also have sandwiches and of course lottery tickets. Lol. Supposedly, this place have been giving winning tickets. Lol. Anyway, this place seems to be a place were people just hangout, eat breakfast sandwich and donuts. It's a very chill vibe.

We got the glazed jelly, filled maple bar, glazed old fashioned, and the glazed buttermilk. The old fashioned was fine, not great. It was slightly dry. The buttermilk donut was good. It was huge. Dense, not dry, and had a prominent buttermilk flavor. It was gigantic. The jelly filled was also huge. The size of two donuts. It was heavy and dense but the texture was still light and fluffy. The jelly inside is seeded raspberry. It definitely tastes very sweet and a little artificial. Not the best jelly donut I've ever had, but not horrible. It was filled generously. The filled maple bar was very sweet. The glaze was maple-y enough. The filling wasn't too sweet--tasted and had texture of jello vanilla pudding. It was filled from both ends. These 4 huge donuts were $11 total. Best price compared to other shops in the area.

This location is kind of tucked away within a plaza, not the best location for this spot. There is free parking available, with several accessible parking spots up front. Inside, the place was generally clean and has plenty of indoor seating. This location has a self-order kiosk, front desk kiosk, and mobile pick up orders. I came after noon on a Sunday and they only had 1 chocolate covered donut left, which the worker said this was the last one (basically implying there weren't anymore coming, but he was wrong). Fast forward to eating the donut, it tasted dry and not fresh - a big disappointment. I also ordered the 6pc hash browns, a croissant breakfast sandwich, and another donut. The only thing that tasted good were the hash browns. The sandwich was burnt and overcooked! Why the 2-star review? The service was not top notch. The front house staff looked like he didn't want to be there, was on his phone, and was basically checked out. The other team members preparing orders did not do well too. One couple before me had their breakfast re-done at least 3 times, and in the end made my order come out later. The quality control for their food line is lacking and needs to improve. I don't think I'll come back any time soon unless it's in another state.

Lol Filling were lightly sweet (which I prefer) and hints of each flavor...my fave was the espresso: custardy, creamy, coffee flavored with the next being the pumpkin. Guava has a very mild flavor and could've used a tad more flavor but it was good! All lightly dusted with granulated sugar *** 4 - 4.5 stars *** I would recommend picking up your order when they're ready as no fried item tastes as good as it sits and best when they're fresh...I picked up mine about 12:30 and 1/2 of the sugar was melted and exterior got a little greasy but still a yummy product! Unfortunately, you can not walk into Denica's expecting to get some malasadas...must go to Instagram and DM her your order which will set you back $12/3. Yeah, yeah will log in for food! Flavors change weekly! Enjoy!

When the opportunity presented itself, I came by today for the first time. The decor was mediocre but I was here for a take out order so my review will be strictly on the taste of the mochi donut itself. Mochi donut (Macha & Strawberry flavored) - 5 out of 5 They were fluffy and chewy in texture. Compared to your regular donut, it's just a different style of donut altogether. There is not actual mochi in the donut itself just a mental note. The sweetness wasn't overpowering which I liked and they're extremely fresh. Compared to the ones they offer in Osaka Marketplace, this one blows them out of the park. For any type of donuts, I general look for two things: 1. Are they fresh (if they aren't, you can generally tell from the dough being tougher if no other additives are placed in the dough) 2. The sugar toppings (If they place a heavier emphasis on sugar, I usually stay away since I'm more focused on the flavor instead) Service - 3 out of 5 The lady over the counter was a bit slow. She was on the phone when I came in and it took her about 10 minutes to finish her conversation before she was able to get to us. I think it was a phone order? It looked like she's the only person taking orders since the other workers saw us but kept on doing whatever they were doing. If you don't mind waiting a little like myself, it's a definite must try if you enjoy a chewier textured type of dough in your donuts or would just like to give a new type of donut a try. I don't usually judge too hard on the service staff in places like these since they're mostly mom and pop owned. Understand that when we come, they're just trying to do their best with what they've got is all we can ask for. Ultimately, the food takes home the win and Mochinut here did exactly that for me. They seemed to be Vietnamese owned since they sell other Vietnamese items here as well so keep that in mind. I'll definitely keep this place in mind when I'm feeling like a mochi donut again in the future!

Places in Chicago, L.A., and in the SF Bay Area and they ALL were hands very disappointing. Other Mochi Donut spots haven't figured out how to make the Mochi not too dense or not too dry. Also, the frosting is terrible at other knock-offs like "Mochinut" in San Leandro where I bought 2 for $7.98 and when I bit into their Churro mochi I thought I was bitting into an old fashion American donut doust in white granulated sugar (lacking cinnamon flavor) that masked the low quality mochi texture and taste, so I spit it out immediately. We heard that there had been some long lines recently and that the bread can sell out fast, so he went ahead of me to get in line before they opened, but he said there actually wasn't a line this time. We went on a Sunday afternoon and got two each of the regular and chili oil scallion breads. Once I got to the cafe, I ordered the banana pudding matcha latte. We sat on the bench outside to eat our bread and noticed that it tasted just a *little* like it had been sitting out for a while. I wouldn't describe it as stale, it just didn't have as soft a texture as we expected. However, it tasted absolutely delicious. I'd recommend getting both flavors if you can. The chili oil one wasn't spicy, in my opinion, it just had a kick of chili flavor. The banana pudding matcha latte was a little less successful. The pudding was great, but it just sat on top of the drink. When I mixed it into the matcha, it still wasn't coming through very strong and the drink tasted almost entirely of matcha. It was disappointing because I love banana so much. I think I'd be better off just ordering the banana pudding in the future. I'd like to come back here on a Saturday to see if the bread is a bit fresher, and I'd order the banana pudding rather than the latte.
