Other than the heavy smell of Armor All, it was a very clean car. I was told from Ben Koehler, the owner, that they swapped motors in this vehicle. I was never given a CarFax because Ben flat out told me that he doesn't believe in the world of computers and paper trails. This car was on the road for exactly 5 weeks, or 3,400mi, until the serpentine belt was thrown into the timing belt, causing the timing belt to snap. This was because of a broken bolt on the serpentine belt tensioner. I called Ben the day after this happened and he gave me a run around, followed up with hanging up on me. Any business that values any of their customers, would have tried to reach out again for something as catastrophic as having to replace a motor as he just bought a car with a replaced motor 5 weeks prior with CASH!!! All I am trying to do is get this review out to as many people as I can to warn them to stay away from a Crackhead Chop Shop like this one. The money I saved on this car from initial purchase, cost me 2x the purchase altogether just to get it going again.

They have been very honest with me even when I wish they would've lied. They have been very direct in many cases I have had components that would be recommended to have been timed out by a dealer when they would show me that I had another year or two on those parts. They have never misled me and have always helped me. I know a lot about cars ,I've been working on them my whole life while I'm not a professional mechanic , I've done a lot of mechanical work on my own . They have helped me through the purchasing process. They have helped me bring cars to Concourse condition and have never taken advantage of me. When you have cars that are of a certain nature the cost is just simply more expensive than trying to find a part or perform a on a basic daily driver that you can buy at any dealer at any time. If you're looking for the group of folks that are going to bethe cheapest, I'm not sure this is them, but if you're looking for someone that you can trust that you don't have to continue to look over your shoulder. This is it I don't go anywhere else , yes Ferrari's Porsche , Ford ,Mercedes , when I buy them from the dealer, then you go back to the dealer for that work the warranty work once it expires or if you have cars that are so far out of warranty that it doesn't matter, then you should go someplace where they care as much about the cars you do and that's Reina

The only thing he said is that there was a minor fender bender that was 100% fixed. But six months after I bought the car my son said hey mom the whole front of your car is falling off. I needed an oil I made an appointment to get that done and talk about the front end of my car. long story short. I was there for an oil change and supposedly all they had to do was to get clips to put the front end back on. I was there for six hours and nothing ever happened. He kept lying to me saying that he was calling this place and that place, but he didn't know about me as I knew owners of those places because of my own business and I called there and they said no one ever called and the reality is he could've walked across the street to a Nissan dealer and gotten those clips done but he did absolutely nothing . I used to like Carmax I would never go there again!!! I did go to a Nissan dealer to get rid of that car and they did give me a fair price thankfully and purchased a brand new Nissan Murano through Rosen. Rosen has excellent service all the way around, good pricing excellent to negotiate with too.

From helping me narrow down the best options at short notice, to coordinating delivery just in time for the big surprise, they made what could have been a stressful situation (after the car was delayed in Baltimore-not their fault) feel seamless and even fun. They located a replacement in record time! Their patience, attention to detail, and genuine care made all the difference. Thanks to them and the team in the back that prepped the car, my niece was shocked and absolutely speechless when she saw the car. It was a moment we'll never forget! Thank you for helping us create this memory for us! I will absolutely recommend these two at carmax any time anyone I know is in the market for a used car!

I told Bob that I wanted to be able to drive long distances if I got a wild hair to do so. My car had been in some rough hands before I bought it and while I did my own work I hit that age where you don't really trust your self all the time and my disability makes it nearly impossible to work without suffering. when Bob would call after finding issues I would say fix it for me. It was February when I dropped it off and it was there a bit over a month. When I went to pick it up I was amazed at the work He'd done under the hood. Everything was sorted out so nicely that I couldn't believe it was my car. Bob had transformed my needy ride into a true turn key car that will take me anywhere worry free ! Bob gave me exactly what I asked for and had done things I would have overlooked and it was clear that his intent was to see me excited and happy to write him a check, and I was extremely happy that I chose him to work on my girl. everything about our transaction was positive and Bob knows that I will come back to him to have my doors gone through later this year. To make things complete I have compete trust that I put my car in careful hands. Thank you Bob ! it was a pleasure meeting all of the crew ! Kenny
