This tow truck company did not allow us to retrieve our personal belongings until the insurance paid them, I called and advised them about the law and the guy acted as if he was a lawyer and told me he had the law in front of him. This guy has ZERO compassion and lives to rip off his customers! He charged $545 to tow my car 0.4 miles! Literally less than a half mile- this was confirmed with Google Maps. My car was stuck on a wall/ledge, he was called out by the Crest Hill police to pull it off. Both myself and the police thought I would be able to drive the car home however Don INSISTED that the car was likely not safe to drive. He scared me into letting him tow it to his shop (now I know why). He said there was probably damage to brake and fuel lines. If o drive the car home that night it would have been $100 cash for winching the car off the ledge. Upon pick up- he charged me $545 total! He said he charged 2 days storage fee which he did not disclose when he towed- the rest were trumped up charges. Keep in mind- he did NOTHING, other than pull off ledge and tow to his shop 0.4 miles away. He did not give any estimate or repairs. If anyone gets into an accident in Crest Hill and he happens to come out because it is who the police sill call- keep in mind you have the right to call your own tow truck. Save yourself a ton of cash and call your own tow-truck. I plan to do everything I can to get his police contract revoked. This was NOT an insurance reimbursement tow- this was coming out of my pocket and he did not care. He is a cash only business and an employee told me that a few of his employees get paid under the table as well- this shows he is not a legitimate business man. DO NOT GIVE THIS GUY YOUR BUSINESS! If you need body work- I highly recommend Hreg's Body shop in Joliet He isReally compassionate business owner who helped my daughter out when he did not need to- he IS a business man with compassion. Shadiest place I've ever seen, car went off the road after hitting some ice. Charged per day not per 24 hours and then when I get there guy tells me it's cash only. Then after trading me my car to scrap charged me 200 bucks and didn't want to give a receipt.. shady as hell never again read more

This is by far the best body shop in and around Joliet. Not only have I dealt with them on multiple occasions, but they are a family friendly and amazing body shop to work with. Everything charge broke down perfectly and their tow department is courteous and intelligent. You can tell why this business has been in business for 40 plus years. Don's Body Shop is one of the most professiaonal body shops available to the community of Joliet. I brought my truck in due to a large damage area to the front of the truck and Don came out personally and ensured me that he woulkd fix the priblem for a fair price. Their tow prices are absolutely wonderful and fair. They towed myt nearly totaled truck to their body shop and made it street legal again. You can absolutely see why this comapny has been in buisness for 51 years in this comunity. They had my truck back to me faster than I thought they possibly could for a price that was equally manageable and fair. I have seen a lot of negative reviews and I must suspect that these people must be absolutely insane because these poeple and their mechanics are absolutely fair, wonderful, and the best in the community.
