I've known them years and they are as straightforward as they come, in a world of people waiting to scam you and take advantage of people I can honestly say that I put 110% faith in any job that they perform will be a completely fair and reasonable price for the work they do. Now that being said if you want cheap work cross the state line. nevermind I'm sure they can give you a half go at a job but that's not what's keeps a business doors open. Is Cheaper ever really better especially when you are talking about your pride and joy Automobile. all me and my family can say is if it needs to be done and done right take it to Dons! This is it... I drive past Don's Auto Upholstery on my way to work and have for years. I needed a dental chair repaired and called for an estimate. Mr. Don and one of his son's came to my office, picked up my chair and had it re-upholstered in one day. And delivered!! They were so very nice. This is a family owned business (50 years) and customer service is outstanding !! The next day, I met one of Don's grandson's in a restaurant and told him what a great job they had done. As a birthday present, I had a heated drivers seat installed in my car. While the seat works perfectly, and is installed correctly (and the buttons for the controls look professional) this review is a two star review because Don's "accidentally" did both front seats, even though it is written on the receipt as one. And then they charged us for both. The receptionist just shrugged, like "Oh well, it's just $250" which was not very polite. I'm not sure if it was a scam or an honest mistake, so please be careful and be very clear. Communicate with EVERYONE who will be working on you vehicle, just in case. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOU CAR TO DONS AUTO UPHOLSTERY!!!!!!! I have been wanting to leave this business a terrible review for MONTHS but I have refrained in hopes of getting better service from them in the future. I trusted don's auto upholstery to replace the convertible top on my bmw 128i. While they replaced the convertible top, the car remains completely useless as a convertible. The convertible top will not go up or down. Mike from Don's auto upholstery promised to fix it on 4 separate occasions over the span of 3 months. After Mike's 4th attempt at fixing my car, it remains just as broken as ever. They do not know how to fix convertible tops and should not have accepted $3000.00 for a job they were unable to complete. Do yourself a huge favor and take your business elsewhere. read more
