These guys are the best! If you want it done right, bring your car(s) to Don's. As professional as they come. Honest, trustworthy, good-hearted people and, above all, extremely knowledgeable and experienced mechanics working there.
You never know what you're going to get bringing your car in to a shop for a repair; so many "mechanics" see nothing but dollar signs when a customer walks in, not at Don's. Even bringing it to a dealership can be questionable, as most dealerships are stocked with "fresh out of school" mechanics that often do not have the real world experience it takes to be a truly skilled technician; and as any one who has worked any kind of tech job before, you know most of your knowledge and skills came from years of experience, not reading out of a book or watching someone else. That's what makes these guys so great, they have the experience and know-how to get to bottom of even the most bizarre automobile problems.
They run a shop like the old days, where your mechanic knew you by name, and treated you like family; and would never try to sell you anything you didn't really need, like a Johnson Rod (for the Seinfeld fans). My family has been bringing their cars to Don's for almost 10 years and have never had a bad experience. Anybody I've referred to them has said the same thing; and all have kept bringing their cars back.
The shop is very clean. They have a nice waiting area with complementary refreshments. They have a computer set up where they can show you how the various parts and systems of a car are interconnected to help give you more of an understanding of what work you need done and why.
It's not the cheapest place around, but you get exactly what you paid for, a job well done by guys who stand behind their work. Problems and hiccups can happen anywhere, but these guys will always work to ensure you are 110% satisfied, every step of the way; to me, that is something that is worth it's weight in gold.
It's, sadly, becoming a rare occurrence to find businesses that have this type of work ethic and attitude. Many places will cut corners and do shoddy work to try and save themselves some time and money, these guys are the exact opposite; they put the customer first, always. They give you, and your car, the attentiveness that people would typically reserve for family.
Clearly, I can't say enough good things about them. Give them a try; I assure you, you won't be disappointed. read more
