I'm still in awe looking back at my ombre macaron tower! I placed the order online, requested 4 flavors, and to have it delivered on the day of my wedding. Chef donna went above and beyond to make sure the tower was the highlight of our dessert table. She placed Over 200 freshly made macarons, neatly and carefully and she even made me a sign! :) All the guests were raving about the macs and I'm so happy we decided to hire donna. We had NO macs left by the end of the night! That says a lot! Why get a cake when you can have a custom macaron tower made just for you! These macarons are amazing!!!! First off, I found Donna to order macarons for my graduation party back in May, she was super helpful and communicative when choosing flavors and delivery times and such. Then when everything got cancelled she was super understanding about needed to switch my date to something later on. We finally settled on today for a delivery. She was extremely nice and delivered them to my apartment door (she has contactless delivery protocols in place to maintain social distancing and less interaction). She texted me right away that they had arrived and I was eager to get into them! I'm taking them now to my dad for his 60th birthday and he's super excited. Presentation: the bag presentation is super cute with her label on a white bag and black tissue paper. The presentation of the macarons are gorgeous! The 3 boxes I ordered of her standard flavors are great and the box of the custom ones I ordered of pineapples are super amazing!!! Taste: they taste super yummy!!! I ordered Donna's Macarons for the first time. I had sampled them before at the Portland Night Market. I got a combination pack that had many different kinds of macarons. I loved this because it allowed me to try and choose what flavors I'd like to buy a larger box of. All the cookies were absolutely divine, best macarons I've ever had. Top and bottom of cookie were soft and slightly chewy and the filling was creamy, all cookies had a creamy filling with another component. For example, the lemon one had a lemon creme but also a very sweet lemon curd that made it taste like lemon meringue pie. They were delivered to my front door and then I received a text message with a picture of the bag in front of my door. Cute packaging. I will be ordering from Donna's again for sure! read more

I filled out the form on her website, and she got in contact with me within hours. After you confirm everything for the order, she makes them, and then they're either available for delivery or pick up. I chose the pick up option. The pick up location is Puffle Waffle on Belmont between 6th and 7th. This was convenient because I was able to stop by anytime during their hours of operation. The macarons turned out beautiful. Love the contactless delivery Donna's Macarons is doing! My favorite one was probably the Thai tea out this selection. I love it when the buttercream packs a lot of flavor and has good substance when you take a bite. We really enjoyed the pistachio as well because it actually tastes like pistachio. (There's another local place we sometimes get pistachio macarons from and they taste like banana rather than pistachios). I wasn't as big a fan of the macarons with the buttercream that was salty and so fluffy it didn't have much texture or flavor but they were still good. I have never gone wrong with the assortments I've ordered from here. While her little animal macarons are always super cute. Great for baby showers and holiday gifts. Donna was an absolute delight to work with! I actually live on the East coast, but I have family in Portland. They weren't going to be able to make it home for Christmas, so I wanted to send something sweet their way. I found Donna via Yelp because I know nothing about Portland and I went to her website. I specifically was looking for Christmas shaped macarons because of some Instagram inspiration and they have kids so I thought it would be cute. She had special shapes listed on her website (snowmen, bears, unicorns) so she was the winner! In addition to having an awesome selection, she was SO easy to communicate with from afar. She helped me tailor my order and gave me an invoice and I was able to pay her through Venmo (also super convenient). I didn't need them sent at a particular time, just was hoping to get them out sometime before the craziness of Christmas week. I believe I started the process on a Friday and she had them delivered the following Wednesday. She sent me pictures of the final product (SO CUTE...I am jealous I didn't get to try any) and she also hand delivered them. When my family wasn't home when she got there, she left them on their porch and sent me a picture of that as well. I wish I was in the area to support her business more!
