    My special delivery
    Angie H.

I ordered Donna's Macarons for the first time. I had sampled them before at the Portland Night Market. I got a combination pack that had many different kinds of macarons. I loved this because it allowed me to try and choose what flavors I'd like to buy a larger box of. All the cookies were absolutely divine, best macarons I've ever had. Top and bottom of cookie were soft and slightly chewy and the filling was creamy, all cookies had a creamy filling with another component. For example, the lemon one had a lemon creme but also a very sweet lemon curd that made it taste like lemon meringue pie. They were delivered to my front door and then I received a text message with a picture of the bag in front of my door. Cute packaging. I will be ordering from Donna's again for sure!

First time ordering macarons from Donna, and it definitely won't be my last! I was hosting an event and stumbled across Donna's Macarons. The whole ordering experience was super easy and stress free. I filled out the form on her website, and she got in contact with me within hours. After you confirm everything for the order, she makes them, and then they're either available for delivery or pick up. I chose the pick up option. The pick up location is Puffle Waffle on Belmont between 6th and 7th. This was convenient because I was able to stop by anytime during their hours of operation. The macarons turned out beautiful. The detail on them were perfect, they came individually wrapped, and they were packaged very nicely in a box. Oh, and they definitely tasted as good as they looked

Donna's macarons made the perfect treat for my daughters tea treat tower!!!!

I found Donna on Yelp and found out she had an Instagram. We've ordered twice from her in the past month and she is amazing! She responds quickly and is very professional in her process from start to finish. She was great at communicating my order as well as drop off. Her macarons are thee cutest and are very tasty. We're sharing her info with any family and friends that are interested in macaron!

Love the contactless delivery Donna's Macarons is doing! My favorite one was probably the Thai tea out this selection. I love it when the buttercream packs a lot of flavor and has good substance when you take a bite. We really enjoyed the pistachio as well because it actually tastes like pistachio. (There's another local place we sometimes get pistachio macarons from and they taste like banana rather than pistachios). I wasn't as big a fan of the macarons with the buttercream that was salty and so fluffy it didn't have much texture or flavor but they were still good. I'm always glad to find another place to get treats from and what's more happy and cute than colorful macarons?!

Super happy with everything about Donna's Macarons! I was in Portland for a Bridal Shower/Marriage Retreat and needed some sweet treats. Since I was traveling by plane and did not rent a car, it was difficult to figure out what to do until I stumbled across Donna on Yelp. Ordering and paying online was simple. Not only did she do free delivery to our Airbnb, she was prompt and the macarons were a perfect addition to our Chanel Parisian themed event. The macarons were delicious! I ordered the box of 2 and the specialty unicorn ones - because come on, they're unicorns! All the girls LOVED them! The macarons really added the finishing touch to our theme. I am so glad I ordered from here. Donna is amazing and I truly can't give her enough praises. Highly recommended!

Donna's Macarons pair perfect with Portland's favorites Heart Coffee's cappuccino!

We drove from Seattle to Portland to pick up Donna's Macarons. Yes, we drove 2.5 hours for these macarons because they are extraordinary. I gifted a beautiful box to my sister-in-law and she loved them just as much as my husband and I did. Thank you Donna for making the most delightful sweets on the planet!

Drove all the way from Bend to get Donnas Macarons! These macarons are a game changer. I have never had macarons that have been so fresh or tasted anything more delicious! Not only are the flavors to die for but Donna is so sweet and kind to work with. Next time I will order a larger quantity to take home with me! I can't get enough of these macarons. Cookies and Cream and Raspberry are my fiancée and my favorite!

If you can't finish the croissants day of, make sure to retoast them in the toaster oven! It will still be buttery and flakey and delicious! Gosh, not much else to say because others have such a good job with their reviews. They're currently looking for a new location and I'm sad to see them leave their old spot on Williams.

It's clearly a popular spot, and from what I hear, getting there early is key if you want their famous croissants. Everything we ordered was amazing a rocky road cookie, a chocolate croissant, and the ham and cheese croissant. Even two days later, everything was still tasty. The flaky layers were especially impressive. I'm a big rocky road fan and had never tried it as a cookie before this one was a winner and tasted fresh, not processed at all. Definitely looking forward to visiting in person next time.

Come early because they do run out of pastries. Everything I've ordered has tasted great. The croissants are especially good. Very flavorful and buttery. Lots of unique flavors too, and in the macarons as well. The space itself is small with almost no seating and it's too crammed to form an appropriate line. You have to balance on small steps at some point. Not ideal. I would normally give this bakery 4-5 stars, but I think they deserve only two stars for my personal experiences. The staff has never been all that friendly, and on my last visit (and last for a while or ever) one woman was so rude to me I was so shocked I just stood there with my jaw hanging open until I finally regained my wits and just stepped away. I don't even know what caused her attitude, I had ordered and paid, but she didn't like how I was waiting for my bag of food, I guess. I don't know. But I won't be going back anytime soon even if I lived in Portland. Bummer because it's very tasty.

I was treated crappily by staff who I observed saying my order was not their responsibility. Not everyone there was bad. The initial service I got was good, but my coffee was so poorly slapped together because I spoke up. My sandwich was also slapped together missing ingredients I paid for, so enjoy the extra money I guess. Here's how the interaction went. I was assured my mocha would be ready in a few minutes, before my food, from a really nice staff person who too my to-go order. They instructed me where to stand. I watched the person put together my mocha. All that was needed was ice. My food came out quickly and I took it while waiting for my drink. 15 minutes passed. Two staff members looked at my drink and one said "who put this here " and another person said "I don't know, not my problem". I spoke up and said "hey that's my drink and if you put ice in it, I promise I'll get out of your way" - it was busy and packed. I was trying to be understanding. One of them made a disgusted face at me and said "I was gonna put ice in it!!!" ... wow. Eventually they did. And did it so sloppily that there was mocha all over the drink. The top was put on poorly and the drink spilled all over me. I tried to tell another server who was greeting and seating people but they kept saying "oh it's okay! It's totally fine" - no, it actually isn't. I get it. You don't want my business of 15+ years, but there are nicer ways of conveying that. I was ripped off and treated in a way I don't treat my enemies. But just like my order, that's "not your problem", right?
