I am born and raised in Gardena. I always past this bar and wondered what is going on behind the doors of this hidden gem. Last night, I decided to be adventurous and made my way inside. Best decision I made next to ODing on Thanksgiving meals all weekend. The vibe in this spot is real chill. The patrons seem to be regulars because the bar staff were addressing people by their first names. This bar has a real down home, family feel to it. It made me feel super comfortable and relaxed. The drinks are strong (bartenders are not stingy with the booze) and they are very reasonably priced! And guess what? They serve homemade lumpia as an appetizer. Whhhhat??! It was so tasty I had to order 2. Yummy. Tia, our waitress/bartender, was so friendly, attentive and down to earth. She welcomed us as first timers and consistently checked on us to refill our drinks. She was so awesome. If your manager is reading this, give Tia a raise! She deserves it. :-) I cannot wait to drop by this bar again. Definintely worth checking out if you're in the neighborhood. read more

This is a great dive bar to go to with friends or alone! It's way cleaner than other dive bars I have gone to and has a pool table, darts, good music choices and the customers and bartenders are super friendly! I only recently started going but mostly go on Thursdays cause Lisa is just a great host/bartender. She makes sure everyone feels welcome AND she works Thursdays which is also ladies night so $1 off!! Plus she makes these amazing watermelon shots so what's not to love about this place?! Parking lot is a bit small, but honestly I shouldn't be driving here anyway, between how much fun I have and how delicious the watermelon shots are it's way more fun if you just lyft/uber and have the best night you can without worrying about the drunk driving business! Definitely check this place out and if you can, go on a Thursday and meet Lisa and ask for the watermelon shot, it's worth it especially with summer around the corner! :) read more

This is a chill vibe atmosphere. On a Friday night they were playing real good hip hop and r&b music. The drinks are great prices, i got a Moscow mule and it was strong. The food is real cheap but you have to have cash only. The food is good too! It's kinda like a food truck lol I got lumpia it was real authentic you can tell they know what they doing and the Korean wings were real good! $6 each. For sure a great dive bar. Very diverse too read more

Hawt bartenders, check! Pool table (I don't even play much to the dismay of my companion), check! Darts, check! Some reviews say it's a dive bar. Uh, I don't really go to a lot of bars to begin with but the word "dive" makes me think of an almost run down place which this definitely isn't. Lots of regulars in here. I like how the bartenders know them by name; they take care of them. If they see you drinking too much (maybe), they hand you water before serving your next glass of whatever poison you choose. Hi to the beautiful Debbie, our hot bartender for the night. read more

Total dive bar! On the weekends-they have free food! last time I was here, they had spaghetti and it was really good. Free always tastes good! I first came here to try their Shaka shots. The plan was for my friend and I to get 1 shaka shot each and then head to a party we were supposed to be at. Well 1 shot turned into 5 in a span of 30 mins. How you ask? Donna (the owner) gave us a couple shots on the house which turned into us buyin her a couple shots. I never do shots but shaka shots are super good! It is a shot of vodka with a lemon slice dipped in li hing powder. What is li hing powder? It is a powder made with prunes that is a combination of sweet, sour, and salty. It is popular in Hawaii and used mostly on fruits and diff types of candy and now...VODKA! read more

I've been really hesitant to try this place out. Only because this bar was my moms old stomping grounds when she was my age. Lol Growing up I'd always hear "donnas this, and that" etc. Now I know what all the hype was about! Thanks mommy You have to enter through the back alley. Its not really visible from the main street.. The bartenders are all really sweet and helpful. Depending what time and day you go the bar may be really busy, but the girls do their best to help you out quickly. Pool, darts, and they have a virtual jukebox that has funky and hip music. What more do ya need? I've been to Donnas several times now and each time is always pleasant! Definitely a gem worth searching for. PS. Avoid drunk driving in gardena. Cops are always on the prowl! read more

Local dive bar been around for awhile. Apparently and surprisingly becoming a hip dive bar. Reminding me of Liquid Kitty in Santa Monica, but much more local with games (darts, pool tables) and awesome cheap bar food. Dead on Mondays and Tuesday night's. Crowd and atmosphere has changed over time, seems like younger crowd coming in vs late 30s to 40s, atmosphere is now almost a local scene on Thursday night's. Thursday night's, ladies get drinks $1 off. Cheap drinks, cheap $5 chicken wings or other snacks. You'll be surprised how hard it was to get $25 worth of drinks and items here since there is a minimum charge for credit card usage. Mingling? I'm not sure if its much of a mingling place but seems to be getting there. Its a great dive bar to catch up with a friend, group or even big group of friends. There are a couple seats all around. Private small parking lot in the back. PS Cops around Gardena are not nice. Be careful, DUI is super high in this area. That and seems to be a couple corrupt cops in the hood. read more

Donna's Cocktails is a great dive bar where all the locals will go for a drink. I've been here a few times before. I've seen the night life on a Saturday night to a weekday afternoon. The weekend night crowd is mostly younger people who are trying to drink and play darts or pool. The weekday afternoon crowd is more older and just your daytime drinking crowd. I actually preferred it when it was slower during the weekday. The bartender was really nice and cute. She had a great personality and was always good at checking up on us and seeing if we needed another drink or not. The prices for drinks are pretty typical for a bar. Beers are a few dollars, girly shots are around $8 and shots of the good stuff are around $10+. Donna's is a great place to come and just have a drink and relax with friends. If you're looking for a more club type bar then look in Hermosa Beach, but if you want something simple then definitely check out Donna's. read more

This is my any night of the week spot. Popcorn, pool and darts! Great staff, people and drinks. From wine to beer and shots, the bartenders got ya! I've had quite a few great evenings here. Clean restrooms! There is also a cool dart league that meets on Sunday's... can't beat that! read more

I love going to Donnas and I never really care for Bars. But this local bar has been my GO TO spot for a few months now. I love the atmosphere because everyone there is very welcoming. Download the app to play music of your choice. *Tips* You can order food and it's actually very good bar food. I don't know why some of the yelper are complaining about service. I never had a bad experience from any of the bartenders or server. Everyone is super friendly and sweet. read more

Donna's is a great dive bar if you're in the Gardena area. They occasionally have dart tourneys and they also have a pool table. They also have a kitchen which serves Hawaiian/American food. Their waitresses are also always very nice. The bar has an interesting vibe, mixing both young people and older folks. I enjoyed going there and liked that the jack and coke was made strong! read more

Been here twice...it's a chill hang out with darts, jukebox, and pool tables. Reminds me of bars in Haawaii. Prices aren't too expensive (dont forget to check in for $1 off your first drink!). One of the best dive bars I've been to in awhile. The bartenders/waitresses are awesome- they pour a nice, strong drink. Pool tables, dart boards, juke box & lots of big TV's. The AC was great. They serve food after 6pm from a little kitchen on the side. Perfect finger foods while watching the Dodger game. I had some old school ground beef & potato hard shell tacos. They were delicious. My BF has buffalo chicken wings and said they were really good. We were able to park right in front, but there is also parking behind the bar. I really enjoyed myself. The crowd was cool- all different types of people. We will definitely go back read more

This place is more of a 'Dudes bar' with portraits of women on the walls, all women bartenders & cocktail waitresses - but I guess it's working because every time I go that place is packed, yes it's mainly men but packed nevertheless! Only 1 pool table and a few electronic dart boards plus a newer, electronic jukebox. Drinks are reasonably priced, people smoke out back but the smell trails in, dimly lit, lounge area with couches, very laid back atmosphere and although it may look a little sketchy - in all the times I've been there - I have yet to see anyone get into a fight or other suspicious activity. read more

So far one of the best and super chill bars in Gardena. Totally loved the atmosphere and the darts area. Had a blast with my friends on a Dart tournament. Highly recommend read more

The bartenders like 'Kai' turn down your music if it's not what they want to hear on the touch tunes! Their excuse is that they need to hear their customer! I'm a local and I've been here plenty of times! The old timers that are always here don't listen to what I listen to and it's fine! But you pay for the music you what to play! So yes ... screw this!!! read more

I like this no frill place as I came here with a girl and must say I might have a new perspective for dive bars

Buddy of mine introduced me to this cool bar! Very laid back and chill, get to play darts & watch the dodger games lol. Lumpias are bomb ! I would've rated it 5 stars if only THEY START SERVING THE BEER ICE COLD!! . ALSO ADD MORE OPTIONS TO DRAFT. Stella and that ipa getting old. Make sure your beer is cold!!! read more

I'm a fan and have been a fan of Donna's forever but I was born and raised a G-boy and would likely be kicked out of the club if I didn't say otherwise. First and foremost Donna's is a "locals" place. 100% of the time I visit I bump into friends, family friends, friends of family friends, etc. It's a dark, dingy, time warp experience but if you're from here...it so feels like home. Previous reviews are pretty accurate. J.T.'s check list is spot on! read more

Hands down best bar in the area. No competition. Debs, Rells, Lisa, Kelsey and the entire gang make any time you're here an amazing time. Follow their Instagram where they're always posting what's going on! read more

Read Steve F review. If you're not counting your drinks, you will be way over charged. All the bartenders will over charge your bill, hoping you won't catch it or claim your too buzzed to count. They charm you with their looks but take you to the bank without you even knowing it. Beware! read more

Really laid back vibe perfect for the after work stop. Super sweet staff. Cheap drinks. Sounds like a win, win, win. Bonus the food is tasty. Been a few times and already feel like a regular. Pretty cool, laid back dive bar... Donna's Cocktail is a proto-type dive bar. It's hard to find, it is dark and dingy inside, and it's mainly a locals joint. The bar-tender was very friendly and she even made us some experimental drinks that were pretty good. They have pool and darts, and the drinks aren't that expensive. Good place to hang out, and have a good time. read more

The drinks are a 5 star - they make really good drinks. The 3 stars is that if you are a new person to this bar you feel really uncomfortable because the "regulars" know each other and are yelling over you (we were in the middle of the bar). Really hard for us to have a conversation over them and the bartender yelling to them as well. If you want to go to a dive bar - it is a good one. read more

Good place if you count drinks have cash to pay for each drink but I was severely overcharged (by Alot) and didn't notice till after I left so I just kind of let it go. I probably won't go back due to that fact but the staff and patrons were friendly. Has all kinds of alcohol, pool table, darts, jukebox and very clean which is why I would give it 2 stars. read more

Cheap drinks with friendly regular that's open on XMAS EVE, say what?! I'm a true Donna's fan now. +Like I said earlier, Donna's was open on Christmas eve!! Can you believe it?! +Street parking is available in the front. According to other yelpers, there's also parking in the back of the bar but seems very limited. +The bartender that was working on Xmas eve day was SO nice. She's a pretty Japanese girl and I think her name was Miu or Mil, couldn't really get it exactly but she is the best! My girlfriend and I visited the bar for the first time and she greeted us with a smile and shouted, "Yay, I'm so happy there are more girls at this bar!" :) +Donna's definitely has regulars. Seems like all the gentlemen at Donna's that we met that day were regulars and they were all so welcoming! They even bought my friend and I couple drinks! +Donna's has pool table and darts if you like to play games while grabbing some drinks. +Donna's also serves food. Unfortunately kitchen was closed on xmas even when we went but one of the customers or Donna's ordered 3 boxes of pizza for everyone to share while drinking. SO SWEET! I totally copped myself a slice of pizza to combat the drunkness. +Torrance is notorious for having no night life... literally almost everything closes at 10PM but luckily Donna's is open late! -The only downside is that the bartender girl on xmas eve night was kinda rude. I don't know her name and I still tipped her 20% off my bill but that was a let down. :/ Will be back when I need a place to grab let night drinks with my friends! read more

A few of my friends used to frequent this bar a while back. Made a quick stop by here on a Friday night since Suzuran was a bust. There is parking in the back which rarely you will ever find parking especially on a the weekend. Street parking is available but hard to find on the weekends as well. When you first walk in door it's a tight squeeze cause of all the people hanging at the bar and on the walk way. Staff very nice and cool. Lots of TVs , pool table and darts for fun. Smoking area in the back near the restroom. This place was packed so we didn't stay for a drink. Otherwise this is a cool neighborhood bar to chill at. I'd go back. read more

Can you give negative stars....... a friend sold me a hyped dream, talking about a bar that had beautiful Asian and Hispanic lady's good cheap drinks and fun all around, F....You, When I see him I'm Kicking His Ass.... .This is a Dart emporium the ratio is 75 to-3 not exaggerating I've never seen so many guys in one spot since the Military. I LOVE Donna's!!! Listen up guys! This is no fancy bar. It's def. a hole in the wall dive bar. People that frequent this place are the locals. Drinks are cheap, there's a jukebox, 1 pool table, and darts!!! The bartenders are super sweet and nice! They even take shots with you! Shoutout to my favorite bartender- Kim, you rock! There's complimentary food on Fri. & Sat. I've had hotdogs and shredded pork sliders. Tip: if you visit Donna's be sure to order a Shacka shot. Came in on a Monday since my friend wanted to get a drink. We didn't want to go anywhere far so we found Donna's on Yelp and saw it had a good rating. It took us a little while to find it (even though there was a sign outside) because it doesn't really stand out. You can kind of say it is a hidden gem. Overall, we had a good time and the prices are actually pretty great. We bought a Sex on the Beach, a Hennessy and Sprite, and a 805 for $18. The mixed drinks were a good size and pretty good too! I have to take one star off because it does smell A LOT like smoke when you first walk in and there is a $25 minimum to use your card so it is best to bring cash with you or pay a fee to use the ATM. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would! If you're not a dick you won't get service! As soon as I walked in here they looked at me as if I didn't belong! Ummm don't worry if I belong I'm going to spend money! Not once did they ask if we needed anything. Tried to order food and beat believe no one helped us. Tried to get change to play darts, waited over half a hour to get change! Ummm yeah won't be spending my money here! I could find another HOLE IN THE WALL that will value their customers! Horrible service! read more

Love coming to Donnas! Been here a couple of times already, mostly to play darts, but I've had a great time just hanging out too. The bartenders and ladies who work there are so nice! Not to mention their drinks are pretty good too. Rum and coke pls! :) I also love how you can choose the music that's playing at donnas. Their music box has a loaaad of songs! They have a pool table along with a place to lounge and sit around too. It's a perfect place to chill on a week day night. (The only times I've been.) I love donnas! read more

Nice local hole in the wall bar. Super friendly servers and customers! This place had a bunch of tvs and even has the Dodgers on!! Also a bar pool table that needs some tlc and electronic dart boards. We went on Tues which was Taco Tuesday. They have other tacos but the $1 tacos were ground beef and potatoes. They were crunchy, flavorful, and juicy!!! I liked then so much I ate 4 ! They have an added twist on the tacos, marinated onions. These were really good. read more

Love this place friendly bartender and Donna gave us shots on the house for being the great customers that we were, and took a bunch of shots with us! Somewhat of a hole-in-the-wall and bit hard to find but that just means that it's cozy! Great music, cheap drinks, darts, $0.75 pool, and more friendly people to mingle with. Asian dive bars with hot Asian bartenders!? Sign me up! I like the bars with the elbow pillows because a few hours of binge drinking can really do a number on those funny bones.
