This is my first time trying Hunanese cuisine and it was a delicious experience. We ordered the mashed eggplant, pork intestine pot, gold medal stir fried beef, signatured steamed fish with noodles, and mao xue wang. I highly recommend getting the mashed eggplant as it has so much umami with the green pepper adding a bit of spicy and century egg for texture. It was a wonderful combination. It was a dish that everyone loved. The pork intestine tasted very clean and no gamy at all. Personally, I think the stir-fried beef had good flavor but it was sliced pretty thin so not quite worth the value. The mao xue wang had a mixed of various ingredients in the pot, such as tripe, spam, shrimp, and vegetables. I really like the tripe with crunchy texture. In addition to the eggplant, I also recommend the steamed fish as it was delicious and very filling. They gave us a huge bowl of noodles and it soaks up all the flavor in the sauce. When I was there, they only had two servers and they were busy. However, they were still good to check on us periodically and provide additional water. It is a great place to come with a group of friends or family to share different dishes.

They have family style Chinese restaurant menu. Wild pepper beef stir fry- was super super spicy. I assume they used serano pepper. They warned me that is spicy and oh boy it's like nuclear fire spicy. But at the same time it was very flavorful and delicious. Egg plant dish- is one of the must. It came out with century egg in pestle. You can eat it as or mash them a bit to mix. Either way, it is really good on top of rice Fried rice - was alright. I didn't see this was special but still good. I would like to try out other dishes later like clay pot fish or intestine menus.

We ordered DoorDash from here and noticed that the short ribs dish we saw all over Yelp wasn't on the menu, so we called and asked if it was on the DoorDash menu. The woman we talked to said the ribs weren't on the menu but we could order something that's the same price and she would make it for us! It was so nice for them to do that for us and those ribs were delicious! They were perfectly tender and seasoned. We also got the eggplant which was delicious and the pork belly. The pork belly had some drier meats and wasn't as good as I hoped, also the white rice that we got was probably a day old and pretty dry. Overall, I thought everything was pretty good and it's really good authentic Chinese food AND the customer service was amazing!

I have been interested in this place for a while. For some reason, every time I came, it was either closed or too full to accommodate us. Finally, I was able to get in to try it out. We arrived on a Saturday evening. Upon our arrival, a table was just cleaned up, so we were very lucky to get in. The staff was friendly, though busy. It seems that they were understaffed. There were only two people dealing with all the table orders and to-go orders. I couldn't see how many people there were working in the kitchen. However, when we had any eye contact, they would come to our table immediately, so I would say the service was not bad. The prices of the menu were generally higher than I had expected, but okay I understand the inflation problem, so I don't want to complain. We ordered stinky tofu with pork intestine, sour and spicy shredded potato, Mao's braised pork belly, pork bone soup with sparerib and lotus, and rice to go with all the dishes. The soup was okay. It's like what we could make at home, so I wasn't impressed. Mao's braised pork belly was delicious! It's a bit spicy, but I think its spicy level should be manageable for most people. Stinky tofu with pork intestine was somewhat disappointing. I almost couldn't see stinky tofu, and I later realized that it was cut into tiny pieces. Maybe they did that to reduce the smell, but for stinky tofu lovers, this wouldn't be satisfying. Sour and spicy shredded potato was also okay. Nothing special about it. All the tableware was disposable, so it made me feel that I was eating at a food court rather than at a restaurant. (Many food courts in fact use non-disposable tableware.) That gave us a cheap feeling, but it wasn't cheap at all. Hmm, I am not sure if I would like to go back again. I am on the fence since I do like the Mao's braised pork. I may just order to go next time.

Not great but also not bad. The layout of the restaurant is a bit odd with a large un-seatable in the middle, but we were able to get a table on the side fairly quickly. The menu had a few items just crossed off or a sticky note saying "out" and everything had a spicy mark next to it. We settled on a few dishes, fried rice, pickled fish filets, braised short rib and egg, and a tofu dish. The food came out super fast which was awesome, since when you dine out with a toddler speedy service is key. The food, overall was average with the favorite being the braised short rib with egg. It had a nice garlic flavor and beef was tender. As for service we had to wave down the waiter for water, extra napkins, the bill and basically anything we needed. Overall, like I said it wasn't bad but wasn't good and with many great Chinese restaurants on the east side there are other options.

I've been here a couple of times with coworkers and have always enjoyed the food. I was super excited to bring my fiance here. We came last Saturday morning, around 11:15 AM. There were only a couple of people in there, and we were seated immediately. Service was adequate, nothing super friendly. Pretty standard for a Chinese restaurant. We got the Farmer's Pepper and Pork, the Eggplant and Century Egg, and the mapo tofu. We also got 2 bowls of rice. The food came out fairly quickly and honestly was delicious. We ate it up. We took home a lot of leftovers as well. Then a couple of hours later, we both started feeling queasy. Our stomachs were pretty upset. Dong Ting Chun was the only thing we had eaten that morning (long morning of wedding errands), and nothing we got was spicy. The mapo tofu wasn't that spicy when we ate it, and we are pretty use Mapo Tofu spice. We honestly did not feel good for at least another 36 hours. It really put a hamper on the rest of our day. We have pretty strong stomachs and have never eaten at a restaurant in Seattle that made us feel like that. We were super disappointed as the food itself was good, but knowing that it's probably not too clean, we threw away all the leftovers. And honestly, the waiter/waitress kept dropping stuff on us/our table. They just said sorry and walked away. Like gee, thanks guys. I also talked to my coworker who comes here pretty often, and she told me that her stomach sometimes hurts after eating here as well. So..... we won't be back here, and I will highly suggest you go somewhere else.

Came here after some failed crabbing experience. Came here to get the cauliflower dish (since that's a classic hunan dish), got their namesake fish, and a short rib and egg dish. The cauliflower dish was great. I think the pork pieces could've been a bit crispier to really change the texture, but that's just nitpicking. Overall classic taste with good execution. The fish was surprisingly really good. In the photo there were lots of chilies, but the actual dish didn't have that much. There was tons of fish and it was quite tender. The short rib and egg dish was interesting and super good as something you just ladle over your bowl of rice. Very simple, but also very homey. Overall I thought it was a good place and would come back

It's greater to see robust customer orders during this pandemic hard time. Although I understand why restaurants switching to plastic plates and forks, but it;s just not environmentally sustainable. I wish there are other ways to handle this. This is my first time trying Hunan dishes. I do like a few dishes but I think i need some time to get used to the flavor and color coordination.. Chinese usually place lots of attention to flavor, color, smell and it will take me a while to accustom to many of Hunan dishes that are cooked in similar dark sauces. In general, I will try it again. Next time, I will try to order other dishes that will compliment each other better.

Mid-size Chinese restaurant along the 99 in Edmonds serving Hunan cuisine. Plenty of parking spots. Went there for an early dinner on Saturday, and the place was pretty empty. When we were done around 6, the tables were mostly filled. Given it's Hunan cuisine, most of the signature dishes are spicy. We ordered a few things this restaurant is known for. Got the eggplant dish with preserved eggs, and it's served in a mortar and pestle for you to mash the ingredients together, which was pretty neat. Also got the dish where you pick two meats and two veggies that get stirred-fried together, and that was pretty tasty. The most impressive-looking dish though was the Dong Ting fish, which is a whole fish served on a big rectangular platform dish. The sauce is spicy and also sour thanks to the pickled vegetable on top, and the fish tasted fresh and had a lot of flavor. The spice level was definitely significant for the fish and it felt more spicy as I ate more of it. All of the dishes have flavors that are on the heavier side, so it's not something I would eat too often, but once in a while it's delicious. Price ended up being about $35 per person including tip, with some leftovers to take home.

FOOD. Freaking delicious. We ordered the garlic achoy, crab fried rice and black bean spareribs and we ate EVERYTHING. No leftovers. All dishes were tasty. SERVICE. Quick, fast and pleasant. AMBIANCE. Clean, minimal, good for groups, not loud. We'll be back ... hopefully it'll be just as good.

Overall pretty good food, good portion and friendly staff. We came on Sunday for lunch at 12pm and there was already a line. We waited for about 10-15 minutes before getting a table - wasn't too bad. The staff was friendly and quick, we ordered the golden beef soup, mao xue wang and a cauliflower dish. Originally we wanted the fish in chili sauce and mao xue wang, the waitress kindly suggested that these 2 dishes are similar and that we just get one of them. I was surprised by the food portion and we had to take quite a lot home. The food was a bit salty to my taste but otherwise good place. read more

When we walked into the restaurant at 8:40pm the hostess told us we would probably have to pack our food up at 9:15pm because they close at 9:30pm. We decided to get the food to go so our meal would not be interrupted. Once we got our food home to eat it was bland. We had to make our own sauce at home to make our food have some flavor. We ordered online which on the website it said 15% off. However, if you calculated and compared the price on the menu, it's not 15% off as it claimed. I ordered the pork intestines and spicy boiling fish togo. My brother-in-law ordered it before and we loved it. However, this time it just didn't taste the same. The fish wasn't spicy. Pretty good hunan province food in the area. The flavors are spicy and salty and oily. I mean if it's not that, it's not Chinese food ! The lines can get pretty long during prime meal times, so either arrive early or arrive a little later. The parking lot is difficult to find space since boiling point is in the same area. The rice comes in these traditional Asian lunch canteens, and you either order it in bowls or the canteens. Must try's are the mashed eggplant with jalapeños and Chinese century eggs !! Most authentic Chinese restaurant I have been to since moving to Seattle 11 years ago. Besides the long wait, really can't say any thing bad about it. The menu was fancy (like how the menu would look in a good restaurant in China), with pictures and nice names for the dishes. The following reviews are for the dishes we orders, I can't remember their names but I will give descriptions: 1) The bell pepper, eggplant appetizer - OMG I have never had eggplant appetizer this flavorful ever. They serve it in a big bucket that and you break it down yourself. Have fun with your food, especially when it taste awesome too. 2) The dry pot pork intestine - THIS IS EVEN BETTER THAN WHAT I HAD IN CHINA!! This dish alone is worth for me to come back a hundred times. I can't remember the third thing we ordered. I guess it was good but not as memorable as the first two. Definitely will come back ... maybe on a week day afternoon when it is not busy LOL. read more

Very slooooow. They need to hire 3 more servers! It's a fun place to come as big group. 7 of us got seated at one of the round table with Lazy Susan so it was perfect. We ordered many dishes to share family style. I don't eat much spicy food so we got 2 dishes that had no chili at all, Grandma's steam eggs and sweet and sour fish filet. Kids' food really but I like it! Shrimp was quite yummy, had good kick to it! Pork belly with sweet bun was interesting. I like dipping the bun in the sauce but stew pork belly has soft jelly buttery like texture. Stir fried chicken with pepper and ginger was wayyyyy too spicy for me. I took one bite and couldn't even finished chewing it. I spat it out and didn't touch it again. It's very flavorful just too spicy for me. Eggplant in the tall mortar was a fun way to present the food. It was one of my favorite dish! Who doesn't like mushy eggplant with black eggs?! Really, it was yummy! I quite like the chili crispy chicken. It has more if the numbing pepper. Kinda weird and fun to have numbing tongue while eating lol! Super authentic food! As a native Hunanese people, I'd say this is the BEST Hunanese restaurant I've ever seen in big Seattle area. The ambience also makes me feel nostalgia because the mural depicts the old streets and famous stores in Changsha, the capital of Hunan. Even though I arrived at 11AM Saturday and still waited for 1.5+ hrs to get seated, I'll come back again for those authentic food. read more

Please everyone double check before you pay. The restaurant will charge you extra for each dish. I would never come to the restaurant again since the waitress and owner are not honest.Not a honest business. The waitress has an attitude probably she's had a bad day that day. Not just we met a rude waitress that day. Our food were bland too. The only dish that worth to tray is "steamed egg". Overall we spend like $100 for 4 ppl. No worth it. Won't come back. read more

The food was nothing special, but then I found a hair in my food. They should really wear hair nets. That pretty much ruined it for me. I guess I shouldn't expect much from a chain store. Service staff needs more training on being attentive. The dishes are very one dimensional and lacks creativity. It's like it's spicy or salty or spicy salty but there's no range. :( Overall it lacks polish and care. Wait not worth it. PS. Just read what other people thought and I'd have to say tons of fake reviews from their restaurant staff. It's unlikely so many non-local people writing their first review and posting tons of pictures gave it 5 stars. Very unethical. read more

The rush and wait is a bit long because it's new, so you may want want to go durning non-rush hour. The food is amazing. Try the eggplant dish! I'm not sure why the review is low right now, but it will balance out as long as the service is is good (which it is). I highly recommend this spot! read more

A newly opened business featuring Hunan cuisine. We arrived before 5pm on a Saturday and were seated immediately after it opened. There was a loooong line waiting. We had roasted fish, chicken, fried frogs, which were their specialties. The fish was quite big and roasted with smashed pepper. It was tender and spicy. The chicken has been cooked with various spices, which was yummy and special. The frogs were cut into small pieces, and were fried with red and green peppers, which were very spicy. We also had eggplant with pepper and preserved eggs, and fried cauliflowers. The eggplant were kind of smashed and mixing with pepper and preserved eggs created a very special and delicious taste. The cauliflowers were very fresh. Really enjoyed our dinner here ! read more

The food is delicious and is the most authentic Hunan food I had in the US. Giving that Hunan is my hometown, it really means something. Recommendations are: rice noodle soup, fish, anything with smoked ham. One thing to notice is that in the beginning, they have very very fresh frogs that they butchered in the kitchen right before cooking, which is common in China but never in the US. It was an amazing and rare delicacy though a bit pricy. Now the freshness has decreased and the dishes taste just like any other restaurant that use frozen frog legs. Will not recommend it unless they can confirm they changed back. The waiting times were ridiculous when it just opened a month or so ago. Now it gets better during the non-rush hours. Also, you can make reservation for 10+ parties. That's what we did to make sure we don't have to wait for 1.5 hours to get in. read more

Normally we are not that into Chinese food in Seattle. Being a foodie, I eat most of my Chinese meals in Richmond BC. A friend introduced us to this newly opened restaurant and we were quite impressed! They have several chain restaurants in Southern California and just opened the 1st one in Seattle. We got there Friday evening and there was a long waiting line. Luckily we had reservation and got seated immediately. I wasn't very familiar with Hunan cuisine therefore took the recommendations. We ordered the special fish from California and it was absolutely delicious. Super fresh, juicy, tender, just cooked to perfect. The eggplant with thousand year egg was also very good! There was also a special vegetable from California that is red that I've never seen before. It has an interesting taste and is quite good. Just go, you won't regret. Tip: do make reservation, do ask for recommendations read more

Fish Head in Diced Chili Sauce was very flavorful but extremely burning the lip spicy! The fish head was not as big or meaty as expended. I may order a whole fish next time. Mashed Eggplant and Green Pepper with Century Egg was very special which I liked a lot. Farmer's Pepper Pork was good, but it's something we can easily make at home so probably not worth the money. Crispy Chicken with Red Pepper was dry inside out, so not very good. I may come back and try other dishes next time. read more

Wanted to wait to write review after 2nd time dining here, and this place has lived up to the mark. The Hunan style concept is unique, atleast the 1st I've come across in the US, and seems authentic. Our Sunday evening started with a 30min wait (both times), with lots of natives willing to wait, which I view as a good sign. The eggplant with century egg dish was mind blowing. Eggplant is a tough dish to nail, for most chefs/cusines. My wife loved her lamb dish, said she couldn't stop stuffing her face..lol Pros: Love the electronic wait-in-line system. Staff has consistently been attentive and friendly. Food comes out within 15mins of ordering. Portions are huge, so careful not to order too many dishes. Price is good considering size of portions. They don't seem to mind patrons bringing Black Ball drinks, from neighboring Taiwanese desert place, also a great place to wait (and order desert-to-go for later ) Cons: The bussers can be more efficient at preparing a table. Not sure if this one is a con, but more of a warning, that the food tends to be spicy, so you can notify the server when placing food order. Overall, the business seems to be doing pretty well especially from a customer experience point of view, and I shall be back again. read more

I had a totally different experience than some of the other reviews I see listed here. I found the wait staff very nice and helpful, and didn't have to wait long for a table. It took a little bit of time for our first dish to come out, but it was excellent, and then the remaining dishes followed at a good rate. I assume that quality food takes a little time to prepare, and it wasn't so long that I felt like it was taking too long. We had the Farmer's Pork, Crispy Chicken with Red Pepper, and Yangzhou Fried Rice; all three were excellent. Maybe a little more than I would normally pay for lunch, but worth the price. There are certainly some things on the menu that I'm not daring enough to try, but I'm excited to go back and try other items. read more

Real authentic Chinese food. The pictures might not do any justice, but believe me the food is all VERY tasty. The best Hunan style Chinese food we have ever had. It's also friendly to non spicy food people. Have very light dishes available. I especially like the cauliflower stir fried with thinly sliced pork. It uniquely combines the freshness of veggie with the thick and smoked flavor of the pork. Definitely will revisit again! read more

Authentic Chinese food, Hunan Style! I love all the dishes I tried, and my favorites are the pulverized eggplant and the spicy whole fish. The downside: lines are really long and it takes a while to get a seat. I ate in the restaurant once and had to come 30 minutes before they were open to put my name down on the iPad to secure a spot at #5 so I could get seated right after they were open. So the best option is probably to order takeout for pickup. read more

We ordered the Mashed Eggplant with Century Egg, Mapo Tofu, and Spicy Boiled Fish. I honestly wouldn't have been able to tell you which dish I liked more as they were all delicious and spicy. The cuisine here make me remind of my hometown. What can I say, I like this restaurant. It is worth of the wait. My favorite dish is Lei eggplants. I can have 2 bowls of rice just eating that. Just as he promised, hubby brought me to Dong Tin Chun on this work cum leisure trip. The resto is fairly new. Just 2 months old, according to the waiter. You can see the decor is modern and clean, by Chinese resto standards. The menu doesn't have too many items, which is fine, because most diners who come know that the star dish is the Dong Ting Chun fish, which is steamed spicy catfish with plenty of chili topped on the fish. We like Hunan food and usually order steamed spicy tilapia and diced chicken in our favorite Hunan joint in LA where we reside. Dong Ting Chun doesn't have the tilapia version but it does have the Crispy Chicken with Red Pepper. Both dishes were tasty, though I must say I still prefer tilapia over catfish. Last night's fish was a little bland. I'm not sure if it's because we requested for the spice level to be mild. Our baby girl was eating with us so the spiciness had to be tempered. She didn't care for the food, though. I think the menu is too adult for little ones' palates. In fact, we were the only patrons with young babies. Prices are more expensive than in LA. Dinner set us back for $56.20 including tips. In LA, we pay around $30 (and a few cents) all in. Kid-friendly: NO Coming back: YES Restroom: Hubby says it's unisex. A new Hunan restaurant in Seattle area, and they have other stores in Las Vegas and LA. Everyone has a big expectation for the food there because the restaurant is pretty famous, so there was super busy on the first day they opened, some of people had waited for over 2 hours to have a seat. The food was good, but I had to wait for 50 minutes to get the first dish after ordering. I guess they didn't realize how crazy people wanted to tryout new restaurants in Seattle since there are barley any very good Chinese restaurant in town. read more

Every Chinese in Seattle recommends this restaurant so we decide to give it a try. I have seen Dong Ting Chun in Los Angeles and it was very popular there. We arrived at around 5.15pm on Saturday afternoon and we waited for 30 minutes. We got milk tea from next door and it was great btw. After seated, we were amazed by their fish. They use very authenticate Hunan chili and it tastes so well. And we can tell that the fish is never frozen (probably alive before cooking). You should definitely try it. We also ordered frogs (very spice) and some other dishes. In general, it is a very authenticate place to go for Hunan food. If you love spicy food, you should definitely give it a try. read more

This place used to be all the rage in the Asian community but not any more. The lines are still long since many people have not tried this newly open establishment yet. On the day I went, I was with a group of two other people who has been to this place three times before. We waited for about 45 minutes before being seated. Among the three of us, we ordered four entrees. My friends, after trying the food, informed me that the dish we ordered was nothing compared to the previous time. They were so surprised at the quality drop that they asked the manager if the restaurant changed chefs. The meat when I went was all fatty cuts and the bamboo was canned instead of fresh. The frog, which happened to be the daily special, was not fresh at all (perhaps that's why it was the daily special). Lastly, after complaining to the manager that the dish was not fresh and lukewarm, we were forced to order another entree instead of provided a refund. Really authentic dishes, went there twice. Yes- the rumors are true, pretty long wait. Both times I waited for over 40 mins but luckily Black Bottle is next door. They have a useful app which you can track your progress in line. The Hunan fish and the eggplants are my personal favorites. The ma po tofu was also unique - not your traditional kind. The seasoned vegetables were seasoned well. The pork belly with preserved vegetables and buns were tasty but could use a little more acidity to the dish. It feels as though part of any authentic Chinese food experience is experiencing mediocre wait staff by American standards. By way of general observation the culture is fine with it! You should know what you want or if you need something just flag them and ask. How hard could it be? If you can get over that the service is just fine. Then there is some wait as they are doing multiple tasks. We want to try a few more dishes before truly giving them a rating. This is a placeholder for now. We try the whole steam fish and my wife loves it. She says her picky-seafood parents would too. Their hometown is pretty much a fishing village. We'll be back! read more

This is my second time having hunan food from this restaurant. The food were sponsored for an UW event and they actually tasted really good. I love the stir-fried baby bok-Choy and spicy tofu the most. The bok-Choy tasted exactly like how we make it at home; tofu wasn't too spicy or soft which I really enjoyed! read more

The strip mall is still adding businesses, but usually parking is fairly easy, turning in and out of it from Hwy 99 may have its challenges. I will warn you that although this food is delicious, it is pay by weight so do be aware of this when you go in. You get your own bowl and tongs to go thru the line and choice exactly what you want in your meal. So many noodle, veggie and tofu options, but also a huge area devoted to meat. I will also say to skip the cilantro as that can be added after in the free sauce area (this is such a great bonus on it's own). There any many meal options to choose from. My fav is the Tom Yum, but I have also had the Tomato and keep meaning to try the dry noodles. My partner often thinks he wants the spicy, but this is extra spicy so do order that cautiously. After filling your bowl you go to the counter where they weigh your food and enter in what style you want. Unlike other hot pot places, you do not cook this yourself, they cook it in the back and then call your number when it is ready to be grabbed and brought to your table. This can be a tremendous amount of food and it's messy, so don't wear your best clothes if you are a messy eater like me. They are happy to let you pack up your leftovers, which are delicious later and make me feel better about how much I am spending. We do sometimes worry that we will not be able to get a seat, but so far we have not had to wait to sit down. They do bring you orange slices and you can get soft serve for after your meal. The employees are always friendly.

The dumplings are not sui gow. They are glorified larger wontons with pork and shrimp. A sui gow typically has Chinese black mushrooms and/or woodear fungus for a varying texture in the bite. Have been to the restaurant couple times and I just fell in love with the food, which just tastes like what I have in my hometown. I love the mashed eggplant and green paper with century egg, farmer's pork, and fish blossom especially. The mashed eggplant and green pepper with century egg is as spicy as you thought and I have seem people not to order this because they thought it's going to be spicy. However, it's not that spicy and I bet you would love the strong, addicting flavor brought by the perfect combination of eggplant, pepper, and century egg. Please don't miss this!!! Well, this restaurant closes at 9pm, and I was seated at 7:45pm. Staffs were forcing me to order immediately that I just sat on the chair and have not yet read the menu, because they told me that they were closing "soon". Okay, I ordered beef noodle but they got me rice noodle even though the staff who took my order confirmed the order for me "only one noodle?" I said yes, did not understand how could they order rice noodle for me. We went to this restaurant last week after reading reviews on trip advisor. Most of us were vegeterians in the party of 10. The atmosphere was great, staff were exteremly helpful and even offered us dishes that were not on the menu for vegeterian. The starters were delicious, mains were okay and we were too full up for dessert. The bill was very reasonable for the 10 of us considering the quality and service we received. My family stopped in here for a late lunch. The waitress was incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything that we ate was delicious, the fish especially. I would recommend listening to the staff when it comes to deciding which dishes to order if you are not familiar with Hunan cuisine. I have no idea why this restaurant has so many negative reviews. I throughly enjoyed our experience and we all agreed that we would love to dine here again. read more

I called from Federal Way 90 minutes before the closed and asked if they would be able to serve us if we arrived within an hour, they said yes. We arrived in 40 minutes and they told us they had already stopped cooking. When I showed them I called, they did nothing to accomidate us. If they arent going to cook until closing hours, they should say something if you call them, or post on their website. read more

This is probably the first Chinese restaurant that specialized on Hunan cushions in Seattle area. Foods here are amazing, but it could be a little more spicy tho. My favorite dishes are the pan fried cauliflower with pork and sautéed sliced pork with green chili. If you wanna dine in this restaurant on Fridays, my advice is to get here early, otherwise you might need to wait for quite a while. read more

Dong Ting Chun has the best Hunanese food in the Seattle area. It is truly authentic, and was exactly want I was expecting for. The dining environment and service were A+. The food came pretty quickly after we ordered and they were all out of my expectations. My favorite was their whole fish, you couldn't find better ones elsewhere. Would definitely come back again and recommend to my friends. read more

The best Hunan cuisine I can find in the greater Seattle area. The wall are decorated with traditional street food mural. All the waiters and waitress are super efficient, well trained and very friendly. I am the 18th in line when I arrive and get a table within 30 mins, which is super fast. Can not wait for their second location in Redmond downtown. read more

As a real 'Hunanese' who was born in Hunan, I would recommend this restaurant to all my friends in seattle. The flavor of their featured dishes are fantastic, it is just the flavor in my memory! What deserves to be mentioned the most is that their vegetables are specially supplied by their farm, super fresh and organic. read more

We heard about this restaurant from friends. We have been there three times this month. We order different dishes each time. I think their dishes are very special, and the food is delicious, but the service really needs improvement. When attendants are in service, they cannot focus on other customers at the same time. read more

Finally got the chance to try this new restaurant. As a Hunanese, I am very satisfied with the quality of the dishes I ordered tonight. I like the food in this restaurant! Especially the Medley and braised pork. They have a clean environment and friendly communication. Love the food there. One of the best Chinese food in Seattle area. For people who like spicy food,here is a must go. My friends and I visit here often. I live in Redmond, which is not close to this restaurant, but the food is worth taking the time driving a the way here. It is great for group meal. read more

This is the best Hunan Style Authentic Chinese food restaurant you can find in Seattle area. Dishes are spicy and delicious. Services are incredible. Dishes come on to the table fast too after we ordered them. Highly recommended if you like Hunan Style spicy food. Thumbs up. read more

I have been in love with spicy because of this restaurant. The eggplant was so fabulous and I ordered two of them, one to go and one eating there. Also, there are many options for veggies which is perfect for vegetarians. I will for sure go back to that restaurant!!! read more

It's so great! I really love Dong ting chun. I can say it's the best Hunanese Restaurant in the Greater Seattle Area. Dong Ting Fish is my favorite. I order the fish every time and it never lets me down. I love how spicy their food is. I highly recommend this place. read more
