Most of the bartenders are good but 1 (EW) is horrible. Very controlling when all one is doing is chatting with friends.

Had a great draft beer and an appetizer which were both good. Chatted with the owner at length who was behind the bar. It's a table top game focused bar/resturaunt. Tons and I means tons of board games in all genres on the walls to use. Seems very family friendly. Well lit. Cool decor. They also hold regular events and special events. Highly recommend.

Forge tavern was such a great place to unwind after a long day! The medieval style decor and wall…read moreto wall shelves of board games made me instantly see that they are serious about their gaming here! They offer a variety of drinks and food items, which you can enjoy while playing games. You can order at the bar or through the wait staff that comes around to take orders. The drinks were very festive, like the golden dragon, which had shimmering edible glitter in it, and the bunny shot, which was served in a chocolate bunny. I got to try lots of boardgames like 3D blockus, hues and cues, and attempted to play wingspan (although we didn't get to it because it's a long game!) They even had a stage area, which would be great for performances. Will be back to enjoy their food next time! The only thing to note is that their parking is limited and most of the surrounding lots have tow warning signs on them so carpooling would be good if you're going with a big group!

It does get busy on weekend late afternoon & nights, but I have rarely found seating to be an issue even at those times. Great variety of well prepared food, well stocked bar with some good premium selections available. This is not just any sports bar, they do kick it up a notch. The food is prepared quickly even when the place is busy and is well presented at the table. Staff are attentive and my experience has been that they regularly check back to "see how you're doing." There is a private room available for reservation, which does come with some minimum requirements - check those out online or with staff on site.

Seating was…read moredifficult to find, but eventually my wife and I were able to find two bar seats where we could see first hand what an efficient front-of-the-house operation they have. The bar tenders, bar runners and wait staff were moving 80 miles per hour to serve their customers. Unfortunately, the back-of-the-house kitchen struggled to meet the demands of the public's apparently ravenous appetites. Our chicken nachos order took over an hour to arrive. (For what's it's worth, they tasted good when we eventually got them, but we starving to the point that we considered nearby White Castle and Taco Bell as appealing alternatives, so our judgement in that state was perhaps compromised.) The saving grace in that scenario was our bartender Leah who was doing the MOST (in a good way) on an injured knee. She communicated well with us and comped some of our items due to the excessive wait - a most appreciated gesture. On less crowded/themed evenings, there's an abundance of TVs and food/drink specials for your sports viewing pleasure.

The food is consistently amazing, with a menu that offers something for everyone. But what truly keeps us coming back is the incredible staff! Everyone is so friendly, welcoming, and always wears a smile. A special shout-out to Nisa, who is absolutely wonderful! Her service and the team's genuine hospitality make every visit feel special. If you are looking for top-tier food and even better service in the NW Columbus area, this is the place to be! We cannot recommend them enough.

TL/DR Great food but rude server and very loud atmosphere…read more We had a reservation for 5:45 for a party of 7. There is literally no where to stand while you wait for your table...and wait we did. We were shown to our table at 6:10. The hostess told us they had a party of 30 and party of 40, so we tried to be understanding but also-they accepted the reservations-so kind of on them. Our server had an attitude from the moment she approached our table. She was waiting on one of the parties, but still... We were sitting in the back room and it was LOUD. Like couldn't hear other people at our own table loud. We had an older person in our party and when we asked our server to come to the other side of the table so he could hear her, she didn't-so she ended up misunderstanding and bringing him the wrong drink. There was a guy who we *think* may have been a manager hanging around, but he never did a table touch, so hard to tell. We had questions because gluten free food is offered but not marked on the menu or online, it said ask your server. She was annoyed but we have allergies so...I will say they have really good gluten free options; however when we reconfirmed that she had gotten the gluten free bun she was annoyed again. The only reason I gave 2 stars (the one redeeming quality) was the food. It was all excellent and cooked perfectly. The server didn't come back to check how things tasted-but someone in our party flagged her down to get lemon wedges for her seafood pasta. The waitress literally rolled her eyes, grabbed lemons wedges from the bar and brought them in a cup that she slammed down and walked away without a word. We ordered dessert because we were there to celebrate a birthday. Before dessert came, our server cashed us all out. This is what put me over the edge: WHILE WE WERE STILL EATING she slammed down a reserved sign. When we started standing up, she picked it up. Most restaurants allow for 90 minutes for reservations to turn a table. We were only at the table for 70, so we totally weren't lingering. I might give this place another try because the food was so good, but because of this experience, I'd definitely think twice.
