I hate to do this. I do. I mean...its Switzerland and everything should be like what you see in…read moremovies. Ugh. The good: 1) The location. Off-the-beaten-path with views of a small cobble-stoned street and quaint apartments with traditional Swiss architecture. 2) The outdoor patio that is actually on the cobble-stoned street. The bad: Ok, everything is expensive in Switzerland...I get it. But...26franc burger that was salty as hell and 18franc small salad? C'mon man. The ugly: 1) The waitress was a cute-as-fuck blonde Swiss chick...that definitely belongs on a movie screen as opposed to waiting tables. She was god-awful. Clueless in the arts of dealing with customers. She, alone, would deter me from returning. 2) The red wine. The wine had residual debris on the bottom of the wine glass. Like, a lot of debris. Yuck. 3) The sommelier. He gives me another glass of red wine and there was residual debris on the bottom of that wine glass, as well. He says "that's normal". F outta here. ** There are a bzillion restos in Geneva, I'm glad I tried a ton more because this spot can kill your perspective on Swiss restos. ** Be like Louis R, travel to Switzerland. Just don't come to this spot.

If you're looking for a something other than traditional Swiss food, or if you're looking for…read moresomething different in general... try Restaurant Turm! Their menu offers a selection of rather exotic meats including wild boar, ostrich, kangaroo, and even crocodile! Oddly, I wasn't feeling too adventurous that night... but I still wanted to try a few menu items. I decided on 2 appetizers instead of an entree, and both appetizers were a larger portion than I expected (definitely not complaining!) The Ensalada de Tomate y Mozzarella was very fresh & flavorful. My other appetizer was the Jamon Iberico which was sliced paper thin and melted in my mouth. However, the menu said it is served with melon, but I didn't get any... He had the Beef Tenderloin with potatoes and vegetables. It was cooked perfectly medium rare, and I couldn't resist stealing a few bites! Entrees here can be quite pricey going up to ~50 CHF for some of the more unusual meats, but it's reasonable considering the novelty and generous portion sizes. The atmosphere is exotic as well since it's decorated with lush jungle plants. Centerpieces of grapefruits, oranges, and ginger root add to the tropical feeling. The restaurant is dimly-lit, and the plants help create secluded areas within the dining room which makes this a great place for a date!

It's a fairly trendy spot, and it was packed on Friday night. Still the service was timely, the food was great, and the atmosphere lively. I had the "Hamshuka" which is minced beef and lamb, surrounded with hummus and a spicy sauce that gave it some kick. Excellent. If you're in this neighborhood, give Neni a shot, you won't regret it.

Wow good lord this food is fantastic…read more My friend Sahil and I came here on a weekday and were seated at the bar without a wait. We were lucky- the place was packed! It was really fun sitting at the bar- you could watch all the cooks do their thing and we were highly entertained. Sahil ordered the Sabich and I order a hummus trio with a side of falafel. It was more than enough food. The Sabich looked beautiful and whatever magic they did to the aubergine was fantaaaaastic. They were crunchy and wonderful. The falafel were also beautifully done and came with a side of wonderful sauce that I can't remember the name of now. I was also really impressed with the hummus trio. All three were very different and large portions. I kept picking a new favourite, it was hard to choose. We got beet, mango, and I think the regular. Fantastic flavours, really great waitstaff, and a freaking amazing experience overall. I'll be back!
