Fast forward to today. My husband ran over something large and hard at 70 mph. Hit was so hard it popped the needle off of the speedometer in the dash. Managed to get it into see Joshua. Wasn't good news but he gave me 2 options. First was the minimum that needed to be done. Second was an additional item that really should be done. All said and done, more than I wanted to spend but I still feel he was very fair in his pricing. Been driving the van for a few days now and am very happy with the results. Plus, I have the peace of mind knowing I won't be chewing up my tires every few thousand miles. Just as a side note. I did research Cortez Car Care and discovered something amazing. They have been members of the BBB for 23 yrs this year and have not had one single complaint lodged against them in all that time. In any auto related field, especially repair/maintenance, that is a record to be very proud of. Just tells me that they are doing things right and have customer satisfaction very high on their priority list.

I'll be bringing all my vehicles here for needed services. I watched them do an oil change on another customer's vehicle and they are very knowledgeable at what they do! They had him in and out in a very timely manner too! I just moved back to this area two years ago and I used to bring my diesel here for oil changes 17 years ago. There was an older man here that ran the place and he was just a really nice guy that ran a very efficient operation. I was talking to one of the techs and asked about him. He said he was one of those that worked under him and after he retired he took over and has kept it going!!! I was really glad to hear that because it just seems he picked up right where the other had dropped off. It's still a very efficient business!!!

HORRIBLE. JUST PLAIN HORRIBLE. I went and tried to get an oil change first off. This was a few…read moremonths ago when I first bought my car and i wanted to change the oil in it. Well my car uses the synthetic oil and at walmart you get the whole package with synthetic. More work for them..they have to vacuume, clean the windshield along with checking everything and changing the actual oil. They wanna be lazy and lie an say they seen metal in my oil so they cant touch it. (Which was false I took it elsewhere an it was perfect they were just lazy) Next oil change time: I figure hey, it won't be the samething. Maybe just an off day, lazy employee working . So I give it another go. Say its gonna be about an hour wait which was fine I had some shoppin to do. 3 HOURS LATER I go back an say hey this is ridiculous it's a damn oil change like what's going on. They tell me I'm next, sorry everyone left theirs only 2 of us were trying I'm like okay that's fine. FINALLY ANoTHER HOUR goes by it's done and i leave. Cars not vacuumed, windshield not cleaned and the change oil dash messages are still on. I assume they just didnt reset the button. Then I notice their isn't even a new sticker put on!! The old one from my last change is still there. How you gonna say you serviced my vehicle and changed my oil when not only is the cleaning not done, but the sticker isn't changed and the oil message is still on. How am I supposed to believe that?? These mf just pretended to change my oil you cant just "forget" to do THAT MUCH STUFF. So I take it back an they give me a small gift card, apologize, an manager says hell watch them do it again. Waited another hour for my supposably 2nd oil change. Only good thing was the gift card I got for the HUGE INCONVIENCE. Then their still not gonna vacuum it all because I had "personal items in the way" and by personal items it was a single 2 liter sitting on the floor. Lol i suggest going to anywhere else In this town to get this done because apparently walmart doesnt know what the hell they are doing!

Or maybe it was just my luck to get screwed out of $2,500 and lose my job in the process. I honestly know why I was screwed over but no one acknowledges that racism still exists in South East Texas. Craig was the first number I found after my in laws and husband had called a couple places that had said they were already closing (Friday at 5) Craig, Hayden and Buddy worked their tales off fixing the tire that had 5 broken lug nuts (only 1 holding the tire on) they also had to replace an upper ball joint that was totally not attached. They did all of this in a parking space and didn't stop until it was safe and done correctly. They never complained once about the time even though it was a job that as soon as you touched one thing, another was wrong.
