He tried to help us buy a car but the deal didn't work out with the old management at the time and we ended up going to another dealership instead. We felt Marvin was a good agent so we reached out again when another car we wanted came up recently. He also remembered us after when he jogged his memory; he got the Saturday morning, rainy weather and two young kids. He is very professional, sincere and kind and I would highly recommend him asking for him on your next purchase. The dealership is very large and clean. They pride themselves on their Grandma policy (treat customers like your own grandma). Oddly, just water was offered and no coffee/beverages and snacks like other dealerships when they know you're buying/signing papers. The large dealership even has a mini cafeteria but didn't have time to check out the menu. We have 30 days covered with this car to bring back should something not be right. The price they post is pretty much the walkout price plus hst. I like this a lot as most places have a list of weird add ons that can range from dealer to dealership. I brought my RAV4 Hybrid (2021) in for a manufacturer recall on the passenger airbag -- a repair that was supposed to be completely free. My car was in perfect condition when I arrived: the screen and Bluetooth were working flawlessly. However, only a few minutes after leaving the dealership, the screen started rebooting every few seconds, making it impossible to use any function, including Bluetooth. I didn't have time to drive back, but I called immediately. The service manager claimed the technician had left a note saying the screen was already rebooting before any service was done -- which is completely false and dishonest. My system had been perfectly fine right before I dropped off the car. They then told me I needed to pay $100 for a "system update" to fix the issue, as it's not covered for cars have a mileage that's over 60000km (mine was 84000km). But when I went to the official Toyota website to check using my VIN, I discovered that no system or media update was available or needed at all. That made me feel completely scammed. Later, I did a hard reset myself, which took me less than 10 minutes and instantly resolved the rebooting problem -- the same issue they wanted to charge me $100 for! This really makes me question whether they tamper with customers' cars to fabricate issues, only to perform quick fixes and charge premium prices. Unfortunately, this wasn't my first negative experience with this dealership. Toward the end of my Extra Care Program, every service visit seemed to uncover a new "urgent" and expensive fix, even though my car was under three years old and in excellent shape. That pattern made me doubt their professionalism. One time they quoted me $3,000 for a repair, which I later got done perfectly well at a trusted body shop for only $1,300. We made a service appointment for 9:15am. We were greeted politely and efficient by reception and asked to wait for a service representative. After waiting for 45min(10:00am) we were told to wait for a report from the service mechanic. Approximately another 45 min (10:45am) later we were called back to be asked if we wanted the tires rotated. We said 'no' and were told the annual checkup would take about 1 to 1.5hours. It had taken 1.5 hours before starting the service from the time of our appointment. We were finally informed at about 12:30pm that our car was ready. We were at the service centre over 3hs for a checkup and oil change which took only 0.7hours. The new oil filter, by the way, was left on the front seat of the car unopened! This is my 5th Toyota car and I have been coming to Don Valley North for decades. In any case, I booked a service appointment for 7:30 am. They call immediately to tell me that my time has been delayed to 7:45 am, but I can still come in at 7:30 am. I don't know why, but they do this every time I book first thing in the morning. So now is day of appointment, I'm here at 7 am and the 6th car into the service area. They do intake meetings with me, but don't get my car into the service bay for now 1.5 hours and I'm still waiting. I was the 6th car in this morning! I texted my service person and no response for half an hour and still waiting on that also. What is the point of making an appointment first thing in the morning if they're not going to actually work on your car at the set appointment time? The salesperson Faizan was great at communicating and taking the pre-order for a Tacoma Trailhunter. He always gave me update when I asked and was willing to help me out whenever I had any question. I started seeing the other face of this dealership when Faizan went for a vacation and someone else had to cover for him named Kevin. He didn't bother about any customer experience. But I had the biggest hit when I wanted to withdraw my deposit after waiting for more than 2 YEARS for the truck. The finance person named Jack was so reluctant to even talk with me, and when I asked if he can give me a confirmation of the refund, he said, "$1,000 is not going to make us rich!". I rarely do a third review for a business, but I have never talked about my wonderful experience dealing with my salesperson here. What? Wonderful and sales in the same sentence? Yes. I worked with Arman on getting my 2016 Scion iM. My original thought was to get another Prius. He was patient. I test-drove the Prius V and C. The former was too big and the latter was cute, but small for my needs. Both didn't make me yearn to have them. He suggested test-driving a Scion iM. He sat with me to test out a third car. I loved it. It was fun and it made my head turn looking at how beautiful this car was. It was mine! During the few hours that I was out testing out cars, Arman was professional and relaxed. He was honest with his car views, which you typically don't expect from sales folks. He was kind to provide me with a yogurt granola bar from his own stash of snacks. The deal was successful and smooth. He told me that he would be around for my next car. Sure enough, it happened in August. He looked at the mileage that I had racked up on my Scion iM (hey, driving between Markham and Mississauga for work will do that, on top of enjoying road trips). He wanted to make sure that I didn't go over my allotted mileage and he sat with me as I test-drove a couple of cars. I first tried the C-HR. It drove smoothly, but I didn't like the huge blindspots that both of us had noticed. Again, Arman is honest and is more interested is having a happy customer, which I appreciate. He had recommended trying out the Corolla hatchback, which is really the successor of the Scion iM. It felt comfortable. It was a cross between my Prius and my iM. I loved it. I love driving it. Being a customer for a decade, I got a good deal on this leased vehicle. Arman listened to every concern that I had and worked with me to make me one happy customer. I hope that he is there for my next vehicle. He is a knowledgeable salesperson who has a love for vehicles and working with people. I must also say that my service advisor, Andrew, is the best. I have been working with him since I got my Scion iM. Recently, I got my current Corolla hatchback serviced for the first time. Andrew advised me that it would take two hours. I asked if I could get a shuttle home. No problem. As I was waiting for my shuttle, he approached me and said that a service person was available and that it would take an hour. Perfect! I decided to wait for it. Servicing was done in 45 minutes. I was impressed. That was fast! My car runs well. The complimentary car wash helps! Andrew is a competent advisor who lets me know what services can wait and what issues I need to address with my car. I also like the folks who drive the shuttles. They are enjoyable to chat with. DO NOT BUY OR SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE I have a 2020 4Runner TRO PRO, had A/C issues where it would be cold and then become warm air. Wednesday 2:00pm, went in for it to be "inspected" since service advisor told me it would be quick. Waited 1 hour thinking okay they are taking their time, waited 2 hours and though ohh they are working on it. Service advisor came and updated me that they are still trying to figure out the issue. 3 hours now, and still no word if they have found or solved the issue./ I WAITED A TOTAL OF 4 HOURS and i finally went to go look for my service advisor, he was missing not one person at their desk at 6pm. Finally found him and told me that he's not suppose to say anything but I MIGHT NEED A NEW ENGINE? Its a brand new car. less that 1 year old!! Long story short, I left the car there and got a rental since I have the (ECP) Extra Care Protection Thursday afternoon, I get a call from the service advisor saying it is not the engine but the radiator. There is mud stuck and blocking air flow. Asking if I went off-roading in the car. When I picked up/ purchased the vehicle I signed papers, saying I will NOT be going off-roading. Also purchased a ECP (extra care protection) My occupation requires me to be around real estate and contraction sites, a car that is build to be off road that can't even handle a little mud at a contraction site and now causes the radiator to be blocked up and the A/C not working. Whats the point in creating an off-road car that cant even handle a little bit of mud? Service advisor says that it is not covered in the ECP, WHATS IS THE POINT OF A ECP THEN? He says that it will cost $800 to get that washed off, as you can already guess I did not let them clean it for $800. Told them to finish up, pack up my car and I will be on my way. Found some random screw by the windshield. Not professional whatsoever, closest thing to that size is the radiator screw. Friday is another story, since it has to do with my service #2 not surprisingly more bad news. Picking up my vehicle was a disaster, mud stains on the handles and grease or oil on the body of the car. It is very upsetting to see that service advisors and technicians at the dealership not taking care of my car or any other customers vehicles. I showed the service advisor the picture of the trip details from the Toyota App on how/when/where the car was driven during the time my vehicle was in their possession. His response, I don't know, It was not me that was driving the car. Mentions that he's been there for 20 years and calls himself a professional with service and taking care of his customers. There is no logical explanation on how anyone servicing a vehicle that needs to be driving illegally over the speed limit. It is unacceptable for anyone be driving 99KM/H in a 50KM/H zone, Not once, NOT TWICE, NOT THREE TIMES, MORE THAN 4 TIMES. In a vehicle that they do not own. AND THAT WASN'T EVEN THE FASTEST!! Scammed as the mechanic, Sri, cut corners and did not do a proper inspection. Do not take your vehicle here. I brought my vehicle in due to a recall notice. For convenience, I decided to get the drive belt checked out as well due to its usage age. I was told it was cracked and needed replacing. I paid a diagnostics fee and did the replacement at a third-party shop. My third-party shop informed me that the issue wasn't with the drive belt but rather with the tensioner. The belt was misaligned, causing uneven wear. This was noticeable on the drive belt itself along in the vehicle after it has been started. Booked a reassessment and the mechanic says the recommendation stands. I grilled the mechanic about why the uneven drive belt wear wasn't noticed. Specifically, I asked: 1. Was the belt fully removed for inspection? The answer was no. 2. I asked why they didn't say anything about the misalignment when it was noticeable in two ways - the drive belt itself and while the vehicle was running? Mechanic said the first step is to replace the belt and then assess the issue. I followed up by asking #3. 3. I said the mechanic claimed that the belt was cracked as the reason for replacing. I repeated myself again saying that the misalignment issue could've been detected and that they didn't detect it because they didn't do a proper inspection (i.e. removing the belt or using their eyes to look). I then asked a simple question - can a drive belt not fully sit on a tensioner? Mechanic was unable to give me an answer. The service advisor also tried to help me out by asking the mechanic if, in their professional opinion, the recommendation is a drive belt replacement - yes or no? The real kicker is when the mechanic said he "didn't know." In summary, I paid for a diagnostic, which consisted of the mechanic half-assing a look at my drive belt and then recommending a replacement that they could not follow-up with confidence. I asked questions about the alignment and uneven wear symptoms that were immediately observable by the mechanic, service advisor, and myself. The mechanic was unable to address this nor provide the service advisor with an answer to their question. Pissed off and frustrating experience. Do not get your car serviced here. Fortunately, the service advisor was helpful and took the time to understand the issue, which clearly didn't show with the mechanic. Do not take your vehicle here unless you want corners cut during your inspection/servicing. On a transparent note, the service advisor was helpful and did process a refund. read more

This Toyota dealership is owned by Weins Canada. Recently went in to do my last emissions test. The test was done fairly quickly but the staff member was a little rude. Car wash wasn't working, so my car wasn't washed. Reception didn't greet. Maybe just an off day? My parents have boughten a car here before and they screwed up pretty badly in 2012, I remember we closed the deal with the sales girl and it was for a blue corolla, they kept us there til the end of the day and ended up giving us a silver Toyota Corolla instead. This I will always remember because after my parents took the silver car, no one let us out or helped us, most of the doors were locked. Terrible experience. In addition to that, my car has had so many recalls, I'm not sure it should be street legal lmao... Toyota Canada has done nothing about this... I wonder if DVNT will. Eventually I'm going to need a new car... bought my car with cash $31,500 when new... didn't expect it to have 8 recalls, that's 7 too many. Mistakes happen, I get it but EIGHT?! SCAM!!!!!! SCAM !!!! SCAM!!!!! I had my OIL Pressure Switch broken during the oil change service, and through out 2 weeks all the oil leaked out on my front yard (prior to the oil change service, my car never leaked anything). When I confronted Amin Keshaviee about the issue on August 25, 2021, he told me that it wasn't done by the employees who did oil change ( I didn't expect another answer, but I was hoping that staff who works at your firm are honest) and then he proceeded to offer me to purchase another service worth of 245$+tax ($98 is the cost of the oil pressure switch and 140$ for labor) to have oil pressure switch fixed, and then I would have to pay another 95$ for the oil change. He kept rushing me to make a decisions and pressuring me to go ahead with HIS advice. I went to another independent car mechanique for the second opinion, there I was notified that the oil pressure switch was broken during the oil change. I was also notified that oil pressure switch costs 20$ and not $98. I believe that I am being scammed by your employee and staff, to get more money out of me by breaking parts of my car. I am very disappointed by this experience. I went to Toyota Don Valley North company, SPECIFACLY to get professional experience and instead, I lost money, had my car's part broken, all oil leaked out and I was being scammed for extra services. I don't want to come back to have my car fixed at this center, because I believe that my car's part will be broken again, just so I could come back to pay more. It is absolutely absurd what Is happening behind the closed door to the vehicles, that has been entrusted to your company to get fixed. Feb 2019 --- came for an oil change. I called 3 times before and asked how much for the oil change .... they advised $128 for my truck for full synthetic I come in today they say $94 for synthetic but for a better synthetic it will be $148 .... wtf !! Before I signed anything I asked the front desk service guy how many KM until the next oil change. He said with this oil it's every 16 000km which would mean once I get my oil change my next oil change should be when my car is upto 40 000km So I waited. 1 hour and 15 min later I am called to pay and get me truck. I look at the invoice and it says next service 32 000 km which is only 8000km .... I go and look at the sticker on my windshield and it says 32 000 km I tell the guy he needs to change the 32 000 to 40 000 on the invoice and then print out a new sticker for my windshield He went on to explain that the 32 000 km is for the next "service" ex. Tire rotation etc So I asked him then put 32 000 km for next service and 40 000km for next oil change. He had to call someone and then did it in writing on my paper which I made him sign and he printed out a new sticker. Now you may ask why I made a stink ...... well when u have a brand new car under warranty either these 2 things will happen: 1. U will go in for an oil change too early which is bad for ur pockets but good for the dealers pocket and essentially get an oil change 8000 km too soon 2. Really good dealership! Highly recommended this location. I regularly get my cars serviced at this location and I find no issues with them. They provide shuttle service to and from nearby by locations if needed for service. Already bought 2 cars from here and recently bought our 3rd. Stanley Su is the one to look for when buying used. He helped us get into our "new" 2018 Corolla. We were looking for a 2017 Corolla but he showed us that it was in an accident. He found my newer corolla that just came in and recommended it to me. Helped me test drive it and showed me all the bells and whistles. Great selection of used inventory so i highly recommended check this place out if you are looking for any used cars. I have visited several Toyota dealerships in the hopes of buying a new car. This will be my first Toyota. Of all the dealerships I've visited I found them to be the most gracious and helpful as I have a damaged vehicle and an insurance claim to deal with at the same time. While I haven't bought the car yet, based on my visits with several other dealerships, this would definitely be my first choice. The salesman 'Lu Tan' was very professional and thorough. The place at Don Valley north Toyota looks really nice..everything looks clean and renovated. They need better front desk customer service as I often feel rushed and unwelcome when I speak to them. Customer service leaves a tremendous impact on a company's customers. That's why they're given the title *customer* service. Being treated like an unvalued customer makes me want to withdraw service from Toyota despite the nice setting that they have or the quality of their cars. Very slow service too. Told me that the oil change will take about 45mins. Waited for an hour and a half and the car still wasn't ready yet! But what saved my further complaint was that they strongly apologized for the slow service and didn't charge us ANYTHING because they took an hour longer than they told us they would. So that was really nice and made me not angry with them anymore. Plus, they used to have free coffee/tea. Now you have to pay for them...ok there. My family has been buying from this dealer for 30 years. Nobu Tomono is a family friend and I would like to thank him. If it wasn't for him we would not come back again and again. I was there two months ago because my headlight was out, so I came in shortly before closing and Mirabel at the desk took care of it. Bryan came and changed the light right away. Post care after you've bought is horrible, except when you are paying high pricing for warranty of your new car that does not need such extreme cost (consider that when you buy the car). They are absolutely stuck up and terribly dishonest. I've sat in a room here before where the salesman goes and talk to the imaginary "manager". As after 15 min waiting, I go looking for him and all I see is him and his buddy sitting in the office with their feet up. Nice. They charged my wife and my son over $600 to buy a new rim for a Corolla. And I'm furious but my wife won't let me complain. I'd say buying a car here is an okay experience. It depends on the sales person you get. I paid for the Platinum Plus membership but I have doubts on it's actual worth. The front desk in the sales area is great. They do their job by making you feel comfortable in their plush arm chairs, wait on you for coffee, and give you free newspapers. After you've bought your car, the service/ maintenance area is another kettle of fish. The reception desk is sketchy with their service. Like one other reviewer said, the service desk is awful. There is no trace of the professionalism you receive at the front desk in sales. This Saturday morning for example, one staff member saw me returning after 4 hours to pick up my car key and she left her chair to go staple papers together (they must have been extremely important to be prioritized over helping a customer). Her colleague had to hand me the key instead. It took about 1 minute to get my key from someone else, pay $140 for the brake cleaning service, and get my receipt. Maybe she was new hire though and hadn't yet been trained to do a whole lot let alone hand me my keys and process a payment. I looked at my Platinum Plus card for what it was worth and wondered if it would still be valid at any other Toyota dealership. During the four hours of my wait, I walked to J-town and waited about an hour for the grocery shop to open and helped my mom carry fifteen pounds of groceries back to the dealership (something detrimental happened to the shuttle service they promised us. I called them half an hour before we would need it). They initially offered to shuttle us home while we waited, but I declined because it would have been a 20-25 minutes drive which would have totalled 80-100 minutes of driving for their shuttle staffl (20-25 minutes four times). We had a coffee and I used the wi-fi to check my emails. I went to check on my car through the window expecting to see a service man working on cleaning the brakes. It was left unattended with the tires removed. I used the dealership bathroom, bought a turkey and Swiss sandwich for $4.50, played a bit of Pokemon and when I returned to the window, my car tires were still off with no one in sight. So I used the dealership computer for about half an hour. Maybe they had to wait for something to dry before putting the tires back on. Shuttle services aren't always reliable. Sometimes there's no one available. Heck my car was left unattended for so long it looked like they barely had enough staff to service everyone. But let the customer know. Please don't tell them there's someone available to drive you if there really isn't. And the staff member who turned her back on me to staple papers together instead of serving me did not make up for it by possibly offering to help me carry my bags to the car. So much for Platinum Plus service guys! read more

Based off my recent new car purchase at DVN toyota, place has a nice facility and good location but someone has to pay for it right? Anyhow, DVN Toyota has a lot of dishonest, pushy , unethical sellers so expect to get rip-off if you buy from this dealership. Go to unhaggle or look for smaller dealers that can offer better deals. read more

It was fine. In general if I compared to other places, this is much better to the point that I got a car here. The showroom is nice and comfortable. Other places you have to go out (winter) to see a car. The service is fine. Again is better than other places and the price is similar. I was at the dealer about 2 weeks ago and witnessed an "accident", which no one cared about. It was snowing that day, so the floor was 'wet' inside the service area. I saw a woman leaving the ladies room and she slipped 2 seconds later. It was pretty loud because she screamed but no one from the service desk got up to help her. Instead, her husband and I went to give her a hand. When I looked back at the service desk people, they were smirking and continued with whatever they were doing. A minute later, one of the girls got up and slowly walked over to see the puddle of water and asked if there was paper towel. She gave an "I don't want to do this" face. A service manager went in the men's washroom to find the yellow wet floor sign, which should have been placed in the open area since the beginning! I'm not sure what they were whispering about, but they were laughing as if it's "normal" for accidents to happen. I would be concerned the next time I visit this dealer. read more

I have owned nothing but Toyota Corolla's since I was 16, and all of them from Don Valley North Toyota. I have always found the service advisors professional and upfront about costs and what is mandatory and what is optional. I find that if you book for multiple things like snow tires and maintenance and drive clean your wait will be longer than quoted. It's also a big and busy dealership - so it's more challenging for every car repair to be fast but there is shuttle service, free wifi, free coffee and even J-Town next door to spend some time while waiting. The one thing I will say, is that I bring my car in for service as recommended and I have never had a major breakdown - only flat tires or battery failure, while friends with cars from other automakers and/or those who don't take their car to a dealership for service seem to have endless and costly car repairs. Lastly, Don Valley is special because they bring mechanics from Japan where the cars are designed to train mechanics here in Canada, I think it makes them more knowledgeable and that's why I don't go to Downtown Toyota, even if it's closer. Also, my one dealing with Downtown Toyota felt like endless upsell from service advisors that were nothing like those at Don Valley. read more

If there was a six star rating or higher, this dealership deserves it. We had problems with our new Corolla and since it was purchased at this dealership, we went there. First there was a problem with the steering sensor, a couple of months later at 7,000 km, believe it or not, the transmission died in a BRAND NEW COROLLA 2014. The dealership was extremely apologetic about this, they gave us a rental vehicle for the duration that our car was being fixed. When it was finally returned, the blue tooth and the audio system stopped working. Frustrated, we called the Service Manager, Marlin who sent his technicians with a rental car to my officeall the way to Oakville but the problem was minor and the technicians were able to fix it on the spot.
