Well, I thought that my existing car was not worth fixing. My wife and I woke up extra early to get her to work so I could return in time for my appointment at Sil's 09:00. When I arrived with the Jimmy at 08;50, I was informed by your new service advisor Will that they did not have a booking for me and did not have a loaner car either. I asked how long if I waited? His response was a blase "several hours" and the courtesy vehicle ride was not offered. Now, I have a cane (and sometimes a walker) and clearly disabled however I had the distinct impression that this new service advisor left me with only one option if I wanted an oil change and that was to walk home. I went to work 15min after the service and 3 min in to my drive, I started smelling a burnt scent and started hearing grinding noise. I was advised that it was normal and sent me a video for the correct way to break in my break pads/rotors. I drove my car only short distances for the next few weeks and informed Uchanics that it is still making noises and the burning scent is still present. It turns out my calipers where seized. Due to the service tech rushing, he did not get to check the calipers. I got the rotors, break pads, calipers fixed at a different shop. This terrible experience happened in April. They've stopped responding to my emails and it is now September. I am still currently waiting for my reimbursement from Uchanics.
