I went to work 15min after the service and 3 min in to my drive, I started smelling a burnt scent and started hearing grinding noise. I was advised that it was normal and sent me a video for the correct way to break in my break pads/rotors. I drove my car only short distances for the next few weeks and informed Uchanics that it is still making noises and the burning scent is still present. It turns out my calipers where seized. Due to the service tech rushing, he did not get to check the calipers. I got the rotors, break pads, calipers fixed at a different shop. This terrible experience happened in April. They've stopped responding to my emails and it is now September. I am still currently waiting for my reimbursement from Uchanics.

I was presented a bill of over $300 for a 1.5 hours check, which is pretty much the cost of the compressor assembly (Standard quoted $180 with 6 mos warranty), which means I would be looking at over $1,000 at the end of the day. I went when the seal on my tire broke. It cost me $40. The guys are all pretty friendly too. When I had any questions the guys actually showed me what was going on. They showed me proof of problems. This way I know they're not trying to trick me. Like typical mechanics if anything is wrong with your car, they alert you ahead of time. One thing I like is that they dont pressure you or try to shame you too hard if you dont fix what they suggest. They'll try a little like "so you're just going to drive your car like that?" and " so when do you think you're going to get this done?" One time my oil was low and leaking, and instead of simply offering to top it up, they tried to sell me an oil change which I didnt really appreciate.
