Food is something to be experienced. Ribeye is very tender. Our waiter is quite good, very attentive. Nice South of the border feel.

We stopped here on a road trip. Amazing hot salsa, great depth of flavor. Wish we bought more.

I went to the location in Cynthiana Kentucky. It was fabulous. Their food is amazing and the service was wonderful.

I had lunch here with some family earlier today and I was pleasantly surprised about our meal. The service was great and very attentive. The restaurant was clean and the decor was bright, inviting, and colorful. TVs that are viewable from any place you sit for watching any game that might be on. In our case, they had the March madness games playing. We got chips and salsa and two orders of queso (large group of us) the salsa was good not hot at all if you don't like spice you would like it. Queso was okay, needed some peppers or something, but it was still good. My mom and I got the ground beef chimichanga with rice and beans. It was delicious. Best I've had honestly. The rice was super tasty and the beans too. The others had a burger and pollo bandido. They both liked their meals as well. I would definitely go here again. We were in town getting our taxes done. Never, and i mean never can get a takeout order right! i'll i ask for is no veggies. and some queso on my chicken. I get the queso, but there is ALWAYS vegetables. As someone with arfid, i can't take the texture of vegetables! and no picking them out is not an option because it ruins the whole taste for it. read more

I don't agree with the other reviewers about Don Senor. The service was great -- I'll give them that. We were seated right away, constantly attended to, and our food arrived what seemed like mere minutes after we placed our order. Our waiter was great. No complaints there. Oh, and we were pleased that our meal wasn't crazy expensive. That's always a good thing. The restaurant itself just seemed kind of..... dark? The ceilings are really low and I felt like I was in someone's basement. And the food itself? My meal actually made me feel a bit queasy and bloated a few bites in. I wasn't impressed with the chicken tacos; they weren't as good as the ones I've had at several authentic Mexican restaurants elsewhere. Maybe we just ate here on a night when the food wasn't good or I should've picked something else on the menu (I originally wanted to try the chicken with the raspberry sauce but they said that wasn't available anymore), but... meh. Don Senor This is only my 2nd time eating here, and I recall the reason I haven't been since my first time is that I was underwhelmed then. Plus, had a male touchy feely waiter. This time, the experience was also a bit underwhelming. The tortilla chips were bitter, like maybe they had been cooked in old oil or something. I didn't say anything, just took note. Overheard the table next to mine ask the waiter if they'd "changed their chips". When the guy said he didn't think so, they said the chips tasted different and "old". So, it wasn't just ne. My taco salad was decent. I like their ground beef better than most other mexican restaurants. Queso was on par with most other places but difficult to enjoy fully due to the bitter taste of the tortilla chips. Waitress was pleasant and timely. read more

This used to be our go to for vegan options. It was the one place in Richmond with vegan substitutes. They used to have vegan ranch, queso, as well as shredded cheese. They even sold vegan brownies there for a while. They have since done away with all of their vegan options. This is disappointing and frustrating but it isn't the reason I am leaving one star. The reason I am leaving a one star review is because when we order a burrito with meatless crumbles from doordash or colonel delivery, if they are out of the meatless crumbles, they will replace it with real meat. This has happened to us about 4 times. They used to care about their customers but it seems like that quality has gone down in the recent months. For anyone who is deceived like us, this review is for you. If your diet does not include meat, I advise taking your business somewhere else. read more

I noticed that someone mentioned that there was a touchy-feely waiter, which I noticed one myself. We walked out after waiting over 20 minutes to get served while the waiter served all those who came in afterwards. The service is terrible. So looking forward to Red state coming in as we will never try this place again. We've been here before and it's gets worse and worse every time. Never have I been to a restaurant where the waiter told me I had to tip them. My son was harassed over a tip tonight when sitting down at the table because he was unable to tip on the previous visit but had tipped prior to that. Great pollo! There were more choices on the menu than any other mexican restaurant where I've dined. It was difficult to decide what to try on my first visit. There was a chicken dish with a mushroom sauce that came with two sides that sounded good so I ordered that with white rice and black beans. I love it when I make a great choice. It was wonderful. It will be difficult to order something other than this on my next visit. We sat outside on the patio because it was a nice day. There are several televisions inside broadcasting sports so you can eat and not miss your game. The service was good and everyone was very friendly. read more

Recently visited this restaurant while visiting Kentucky. The restaurant serves surprisingly good food and the service was quick and prompt. Like most restaurants they have all you can eat chips, also their drink menu is rather extensive, and the food is good. I do have to take a point off as they have a sign in the restroom that says don't flush toilet paper, there is a bucket underneath the sign... kinda nasty. All in all, this place is worth the visit. read more

I come to Don Señor around 9:20 every other week. The last three times I've gone their door has always been locked earlier than they say their hours are online and at the entrance door to the restaurant it says their hours are 11 am to 10 pm. It's bs that they claim to be open late when really they're lying so they can close 40 minutes sooner. read more

This food is straight fire. It hits so different, on my mother. I recommend literally eating anything, its all the bomb.

Don Señor was very clean.. The staff was very friendly and seemed to work together very well to make sure you had everything you needed. Other waiters and waitresses would stop by with my drink was empty to see if I need another one. The price was more expensive than I'm used to in other Mexican restaurants but food quality seem to be a little bit better than those as well. The margaritas were a little small for their price and they seem to lack a little bit in quality but only a little bit. I would have no problem recommending this place for dinner. read more

One of the best Mexican food I have tasted outside of Mexico. The meal prices are reasonable and plentiful. I was going to give five stars, but our service was not up to par. After getting our food we did not see the waiter again until we got the bill. He did not ask if I wanted another beer, did not refill soda or ask how the meal was. We were in Cynthiana for an appointment and decided to stick around for an early dinner. Chips were hot and crispy just like I like them! Salsa was great, not too hot. I wish I remembered our waiter's name. He was so friendly and quick with the refills of chips and drinks. I swear it was like we ordered our food and blinked and it was there. Delicious! Went here on a Thursday night at 9 and walked out at 9:15. This place keeps going down hill. They weren't busy at all, maybe 15 other customers if that. We never got asked what we wanted to drink or any chips and salsa, so after 15 minutes we walked out. Very disappointed. read more
