If there were a NEGATIVE STAR review that is what would have been chosen. I called Don Franco's Apollo Pizza on Egg Harbor Rd in Sewell, NJ, to place an order for delivery for an office event. The woman who answered the phone took my order and all was fine. I needed to pay for the order by credit card, so once she was given the card information, she asked if I would like to leave a tip on the card for the driver. I told her to put $5.00 on the card and that I would give cash once the driver arrived. She said "ok" and the call was supposed to be ended. Unfortunately, since I was driving and using the hands free, I just waited for her to hang up her phone. The phone NEVER HUNG UP and she (counter girl) continued to say, and I quote: "SHE CLAIMS THAT SHE IS GOING TO GIVE YOU CASH WHEN YOU GET THERE, BUT I DOUBT THAT! AND IT WAS DEFINATLEY A BLACK GIRL!'" So, to the delivery driver, I WAS going to tip you in CASH upon delivery, however you can thank your RUDE, PREDJUDICE Co-worker for ruining that for you. This BLACK WOMAN has a GREAT CAREER and has no problem tipping. I actually ALWAYS OVER TIP INTENTIONALLY, because I know that jobs like that (yours and hers) NEED MY TIP to make ends meet. We have been ordering a lot from here lately. So happy we found a place with really good salads! The Asian and Buffalo salad is really good! And they actually give you more than enough dressing without having to request more. The boneless chicken wings are very good and actually real chicken without it being all fat or fillers. Back in the day, like when Don Franco's didn't have an "Apollo" attached to it, I was here all. of. the. time. It was a family favorite growing up, and I honestly have no idea what I used to order. Honey mustard chicken something, maybe? I don't know. Just know I loved it and the friendly service. A dentist appointment brought me to my hometown the other night. Since I went straight from work, by the time my appointment was over, I was starving/ravenous/cranky and didn't feel like driving anywhere out of the way (not even to my beloved Sal's!). Don Franco's came to mind, so I looked up their menu on my phone, found two hoagies I wanted (the Godfather and the chicken salad), and placed my order. Was quoted $17 and change. After hanging up, I looked again and noticed that if you click on their items, you can see the prices for different sizes. It was apparently assumed that I wanted large hoagies. Both my fault and kinda theirs, too, because I've never-not had someone ask me about size preferences. Ah, well. Sorry, wallet. As for the actual hoagies: Geeeet them! Gah! The Godfather (spinach, melted provolone, chicken cutlets) was seriously fantastic. Like, really good. The chicken salad was nice, but did need an extra kick to it. Maybe celery? Or bacon? You can never go wrong with bacon! Despite neglecting this place for several years (6, to be exact), I'm so glad to see that the quality has remained unchanged. Buyer beware!!! Went in tonight for a pizza and the man with long brown hair running the register and the dark haired female packaging food weren't wearing their masks. They were down around their chins. When I walked in, they pulled them up. I turned around and told them they could keep the pizza. Half an hour later they called asking if I wanted my Pizza. I told them I didn't and they should be wearing masks appropriately. The girl said "it's hot and they slip down how do you expect us to wear masks all the time." You're handling food, I expect it. Ordered delivery. Food was really good, hot, and came quick. Delivery driver was friendly. The driver didn't get lost or have to call for me to come out, which is a big plus! Only suggestion I would say is to remember to add in napkins and utensils. Other than that keep up the good work! read more

I went into this establishment Saturday a little later in the day they were not busy but i waited over 30 minutes for someone to take my order because both of the girls behind the counter were playing on their phones and not paying attention one was even sitting in the counter then I watched one girl make a salad and sandwiches without gloves on right after she was playing on her phone. Also they seem like they're on drugs bloodshot eyes and always forgetting and messing up things every single time I go here. I'm not sure if they drug test their employees but they defiantly should! The only thing that really sucks about this place is their customer service. The girls there are always very short tempered and rude! So, my wife tried to use the $23.99 for two large pizzas coupon a couple of days ago. It was valid through July 16. When she called, she was told that they no longer honor that coupon even though it was still valid. I can't recall if I've ever heard a business do this. Businesses usually honor the coupons that have been distributed and advertised. The new price of the pizzas was $25.99. Here's the kicker. I just received the latest Today's Shopper in the mail today. Guess what? They are advertising $23.99 for two pizzas, valid through 7/27/22. Hey Don Franco's, what gives? As much as I enjoy their pizza, $27.82 for pizza and tax, then the complimentary tip of a couple of bucks, and I'm now at $30.00. I understand that supply chain issues and costs are hurting businesses but customers are getting hammered as well. As much as it pains me to say it, either someone dropped the ball and gave us bad information or Don Franco's is false advertising with their latest promotion. Not sure where the owner is but he has a bunch of little girls barely running his pizza shop. I went in there last weekend and had to leave almost immediately because this place smelled like a subway! Don't know if they let people piss on the floors or they just don't know how to properly clean but it was disgusting! I have been going to Don Franco's for years now. Best Sandwiches in the TWP area with very good prices. I purchased their wings for the first time. I requested 20 wings with two different sauces. I get there to pick them up and instead of charging me the price for 20 they charged me the price for 2 10 pieces which cost more. Fine by me I guess cause I can understand the difficulty of saucing two batches of wings. Lady at the cash register was not pleasant at all. Her piercing gaze penetrated my soul and filled me with despair and agony. I grabbed my stuff and got out of there quickly. Customer service is not their specialty. We have been a customers for many years but after a recent experience, will be no longer. After submitting an online order, as we have several other times, we waited for a delievery, and waited for almost one hour. This is one of the few instances when we used the delivery option as driving to the business is not an issue. When we called to get the status of the order we were asked, "What did you order?" Several explanations later the order was found but wasn't prepared. Due to already paying a tip for delivery we requested to have it delivered but this now became an issue atfter waiting and waiting....you get the point. Another phone call later and then a drive to the business resulted in a debate over what was said over the phone. The best part was seeing a delivery driver standing there while this pointless discussion was taking place. There was not one offer of apology, one hint of improving customer service, or consideration to deal with the issue. I am glad I was able to tell them in person these were the last dollars I was spending in their business. The only high point of this experience was communicating with the online order app who not only refunded the delievry tip, but also applied a coupon to reduce the price of the order. read more

This place ROCKS! The Bad Reviews here HAVE to be from Competitors whose food probably sucks. I wish they had it as Amazon has it, by VERIFIED CUSTOMERS. Honestly, they have one of the BEST White Pizza's here! I try it EVERYWHERE and this place is awesome. The Spinach here is my FAVORITE as they sautee' it with garlic perfectly. It is a little on the oily side but no fear, it is made with olive oil. The crust is AWESOME! I like many things here, but I'd go on all day if I listed them all so if you like White Pizza, try the Spinach Pizza, you won't regret it. Lastly, the best thing about this place, is they are one of the few that still use all authentic ingredients and don't try to penny-pinch with sub-par substitutes, their CHEESE is REAL and is THE BEST! We got delivery. Took over a hour which okay I get but one sandwich was completely wrong, missing Half of what we asked and paid for. The other was suppose to have extra cheese and there was barely any to begin with, sandwich was suppose to come with mushrooms, there were 2 tiny mushrooms.
