This place if filthy. Here is why. I've been here 3 times... 1st trip : Good slice of pizza. No issues. 2nd trip: I found a wire, from a wire brush, on my pizza slice. The guy apologized but NEVER removed the rest of the pie from display. I thought that was a major bad move. 3rd Trip 3 months later: I figured my 2nd trip was an anomaly so I took another chance. Bad move. I found a piece of plastic on my slice of pizza, which stabbed me on my gums. I'm done! Never again! Either that was a tremendous coincidence that I got a foreign object in my food, or they are just sloppy at making food. read more

They had a grub hub coupon and I was close by so I ordered 20 wings. Wow, were they bad. All of the wings were different sizes and apparently went through a blender because they were also all chopped up. Cut in different sizes and area. Just weird. Additionally, they weren't hot (temperature wise) and I picked them up immediately after they finished. On top of that, they didn't taste good and had little to no sauce on them. Very disappointing. We order here at least once a week. Everything I've had from pizza, to salads, or sandwiches, you can't go wrong! When we lived in Cleveland and came to visit we would order a pizza to take home and freeze (Cleveland has great food, but terrible pizza). Ordered the buffalo chicken wrap for lunch. YUCK! The wrap was DRENCHED with buffalo sauce and ranch dressing I couldn't even taste the chicken. Also Asked for chicken cutlet instead of grilled chicken and got grilled chicken lol. I asked if fries were included with the wrap and she said no. I asked if chips were and was told yes. Pizza Box.... I know everyone goes to Sal's, but Pizza Box is just as good but offers better service AND delivery. What makes this place great is the service. The irony that the owner's name is Sal is kinda funny too. I lived in California for 3 years and when I'd come home to visit, Sal not only still remembered my name but also that i was living in California. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years and lately the customer service has gone seriously down hill. I called to place a large take out order which included an item that is not normally on the kids menu (a chicken parmesan dinner)but they have accommodated me several times in the past. I was told that because it's not on the menu, I can't order it. I explained to them that I have ordered it many times there but they insisted it wasn't possible. There is a pizzeria on every corner willing to change things to make their customers happy. I wasn't asking for anything crazy, and I was happy to pay whatever they thought was fair. As a simple neighborhood pizza joint, they're pretty good. No complaints about their pizza, though it doesn't stand out from the crowd. If I were in the area and craving a slice, I'd stop in for one. However last night I made the mistake of treating them as a sit-down restaurant. We had gotten one of those Restaurant.com gift certificates and figured we'd eat in and save a few bucks on a nice dinner. (For future reference, restaurant.com gift cards tend to only be accepted by mediocre restaurants) Overall I got the feeling that sit-down dining is not really what they specialize in here. It's an afterthought at most. The server was definitely not accustomed to dinner service. Plates were never cleared until we had accumulated a large stack and asked her to remove them (and even then, she was reluctant). Silverware was forgotten for dinner and then for dessert. And last but definitely not least, all of our drinks were served in styrofoam cups with lids and straws! These are just a few examples of how service works here. It's a pizza joint pretending to be an Italian restaurant. As for the food... meh. You can do so much better than this. The Italian wedding soup was as bland as it gets. The meatballs were tiny, stiff, and perfectly round like the frozen kind that you microwave when you don't have time to cook actual meatballs. Shame. I doubt this soup was made on-site, unless you count putting a bag in the warming bin. The alfredo sauce was a homogeneous white goo with no texture and little flavor; I'm 100% certain that it came out of a jar, and a cheap one at that. The chicken and pasta were decent, at least, but they deserved better sauce. The eggplant parmigiana was actually not so bad. The sauce may have been made on-site, but I'm skeptical. At least it was better than the alfredo. We had to get dessert to meet the minimum to use our certificate, so we ordered cannoli and tiramisu. The cannoli were okay, but very obviously not fresh. The server even brought the tiramisu to the table frozen! I politely told her this, and her reply as she turned away was "I don't cook the food" (a surprisingly defensive reply, considering that I really was being friendly to her). She brought it back to the kitchen for a minute or two and then explained to me, as if I had made an incomprehensible strange request, "This is actually ice cream, but we microwaved it for you." No, you sweet misguided child. It was not ice cream. After it was warmed up, it was a very freezerburnt factory-made tiramisu. Not a puddle of melted tiramisu-flavored ice cream. So that was weird and a little disturbing. I wonder how long it was sitting in the back of the freezer? Long enough that nobody in the kitchen had served it recently enough to even know what it is! So overall I think I could summarize my dining experience by saying simply "Order pizza and sandwiches and NOTHING ELSE EVER". read more

Anyone in the area should just drive down the street to Frank's, across the street to A&S, or around the corner to Angelo's for much better and less expensive food. read more

We went here tonight because it was our anniversary, we didn't have a sitter, and we had some money to blow at restaurant.com. Can't go wrong with Italian, right? Well, the food was pretty good. Fried eggplant smothered in sauce and cheese served aside a heaping helping of pasta smothered in more sauce. The sauce was pretty good, too. The bread that came with the meal was just a hoagie roll toasted, sliced and served with butter. The Italian wedding soup was bland, but not bad. The cream sauce on my husbands fettuccine was pretty lifeless and was definitely not made fresh in house. In fact, I'm not really sure how much actually IS made fresh in house. Since we had $50 to blow, we ended up getting dessert; Tiramisu. You know it's bad when the waitress isn't really sure what it is you're ordering. She brought the dessert to the table still frozen and said it was ice cream. After they microwaved it, it was fine, but this was clearly not fresh and not really worth the $4 price tag. Basically, what I'm getting at is that if you want to order a pizza, go for it. The pizza wasn't half bad (my kid had a slice), but if you're looking for a nice little Italian place to go out for dinner, pick something else. Though they tried, and the service was nice (though our waitress didn't clear any dishes until we actually asked her to remove them), I wouldn't recommend dining out at this establishment. read more

This place sucks!!!! We ordered online and we went right there to pick the pizza up it took us maybe five minutes to get there... we get the pizza home and it is stone cold!!!! I called to say something and they were less then helpful... said they keep the boxes on top of the oven to keep them warm... obviously not... said I could bring the pizza back and they would make a new one. Pizza isn't bad but there prices are crazy. 9.99 for med pizza. I order a medium with jalapeño and picke d it up and it came to about 15 dollars. They charge 3 to 4 dollars for one topping. And if you have it delivered they charge at least 2 dollars. Have a medium pizza with one topping delivered plus a couple bucks tip it's like 20 dollars.
