My fav shrimp tacos. Other street tacos are $2.50!!! Friendly, tasty, easy parking. Best in our area.

Paid extra for a side of guacamole. I asked for both red, and green, salsas. I'm not sure if they're included or not. Loved them both!

I read about this food truck on "Next Door". I tend to be really picky about Mexican food because I'm part Mexican, and I visit Mexico at least once a year. This Mexican food truck dethroned my previous favorite, in Salmon Creek, by the Shell Station. Tortillas were softer and fresher-tasting. Meat was juicier, and more tasty. Even my husband agreed. Plus, this food truck is closer to our house, and it's open longer. There was a special that included two street tacos, beans, and rice. However, I wanted to try the carne asada (beef), al pastor (pork), AND pollo (chicken). I almost chose the pescado (fish), which was halibut. Next time. It was worth paying the extra for the third taco. I asked for a side of guacamole (two scoops, which costs extra). I also asked for salsa roja (red salsa) and salsa verde (green salsa, made from tomatillos). When I got home, I grabbed my blue tortilla chips, and sour cream, and basically dipped the chips with a little of this, and a little of that (Mexican rice, refried beans, salsa, sour cream, and guacamole). Yuuuuuummmmy!! Service was quick. Cashier was friendly and helpful. If you love Mexican food, and don't mind that it's a food truck, and not a brick and mortar restaurant, try Don Cheque Taqueria in Felida, off of NW 119th Street, in the parking lot of the country store. Buen provecho!

20. Burritos that stand on their own!

The folks that operate this cart are so friendly and always greet us with a smile. After over 15 years here in Vancouver, Don Cheque's Asada Burrito is definitely in my top 3. If you're feeling like something different, try the Chilaquiles. They are spicy and comforting just like you want them to be. We've never ordered anything bad here. It's consistently fresh, large portions, from good people. They give you a pager so feel free to wander into the adjacent country store to grab an ice cold Frazil for dessert. And seriously, my burrito is still standing up on its own in the time that it's taking me to write this review!

This food truck hits! My husband and I have been here twice in the last couple weeks. I've only tried their wet burrito with carne asada and pastor. Both were good. The pastor had a lil heat to it which I liked. My husband had the burger this last time and enjoyed it. It's a great spot for when you don't want to cook. Prices are good and the owners are super friendly. This will definitely be a spot we frequent when we don't want to cook.

Second time I ordered 4 veggie burritos and there was hardly any veggies-more rice. So, unfortunately, the quality is not consistent.

Generous portions. Rice is really good, and the beans could use seasoning and some cheese on top. The tortillas had an odd chemical taste.

This location has a modern decor with festive vibes. Everything is clean and well put together. The wall decorations could use a dusting, but they are high up and hard to get to, so I get it. I love the food and drinks. We tend to go for the house margarita, but last night we had a skinny marg and one of the specials with mango and cucumber with a champs/tajin rim. So delicious! The menu clearly denotes gluten-free items, which I appreciate. The staff is also good about knowing or asking for items like the queso. The chips have a cross contamination concern. On this visit, we tried the molcajete for the first time. It was super generous portions of chicken, chorizo, queso, and carne asada. The grilled jalapeños looked like a demogorgon! But everything was delicious and seasoned well. Highly recommend you spring for "the works" to get the sour cream, guac, and pico. So delicious. They have a great kids menu with a choice of sides to meet all tastes. The servers are friendly and attentive. We were never out of chips or water. The kids got refills on their lemonade. High marks all around. We will continue to come back. The desserts are generous, salads are fresh, ingredients are quality.

Lots of fresh made menu items, some with a twist from time honored recipes. I really want to support them, but one problem . . . I've gone two times in the last four days around 11:15am, and they were closed. As far as I know, they should be open at 11am. On Saturday, I saw a young lady come of of the door, so I walked over, and she said the owner wasn't there yet, and invited be to come back in 30 minutes. i finished my other arrands and came back 40 minutes later, and they were still not open. I parked in the lot behind the tiny restaurant and waited another 10 minutes before finally leaving. Three days later, I came by at about 11:15am again, and they still hadn't opened. I understand the challenges of a small business, but someone needs to understand the importance of opening on time! I'm not on a clock for work, but if I had been and clocked out to go for lunch, and they weren't open 20-25 minutes after they should be, I'm not sure I would ever go back. I will give them another chance, because I want to support them. I will stop by after 11:30, and hope they are open. UPDATE: I decided to give them another chance and I went by for the third time in six days. This time i waited until 11:40 because the last two times it was closer to the opening time of 11am. SHOCKER!! They were still not open, or even looking like they would be any time soon. The front door was locked, the chairs outside were still stacked and there was no sign that anyone was around. For me, that's strike three. You would think a small business would do all they could to be open on time. And if you have a valid reason for not being open, leave a small not at the door. I'm sure the food is good, but I won't waste my time driving the 4 miles to try again. Sorry ladies!

She noted that it was a place where I could get a burger and she could get a salad, and that it closed at 2:30 p.m., which fit our timing. We arrived a little before 1 p.m. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall on NE 134th, very close to where I-5 and I-205 merge. Inside, the décor was fairly plain, though they did have some Christmas decorations up. Most of the tables were occupied, and it appeared to be quite busy. The menu felt extensive, with roughly half dedicated to breakfast options, which explained why breakfast was still being served. The other side of the menu offered burgers, salads, and lunch items. We also learned that they have three locations in the Vancouver area. My wife ordered a chili burger without the bun or cheese along with a side salad, while I chose a bacon cheeseburger with tater tots. Her side salad arrived first, and she immediately noticed it wasn't chilled. She also felt the lettuce and tomatoes were past their peak and commented that she was glad she hadn't ordered a salad as her entrée. Our entrées arrived shortly after. She enjoyed the chili burger overall but felt it could have been served warmer. My burger was fine but nothing memorable, and the tater tots were the standard frozen variety. Like my wife's meal, my food was also on the cooler side. Service was adequate, but we both found ourselves wondering why this location holds a four-star rating on Yelp. For us, the experience landed squarely at "just OK," which feels more like a three-star experience. We left with our hunger satisfied but are unlikely to return, as there are simply too many other options in the area.
