    Crispy taco and tamale combo

We were looking for a good neighborhood spot and so happy to have stumbled in Don Antonio's. Staff does a great job in taking care of you, especially with a quick round of margaritas. I love the vibes in here, kind of moody but a lot of good energy. I usually opt for the combo plate but I make sure to include the delicious crunchy beef tacos!

Not the pickiest with Mexican food but I had a great meal here. The caldo de res was flavorful and so satiating, short rib so tender. Chimiflautas - haven't had this dish before but personally not for me, I think would try the taquitos next time for more crunch. Steak picado - tender and fatty ribeye with a deep chile sauce, honestly even just the sauce alone with the rice is delicious. I thought the beans and rice were of plenty portion. We were both very full after the meal!

I dined at Don Antonio's last night with some pals. I had a Chile Relleno and Soft Taco (Carne Asada) combination plate. The food was good overall. The portions were good for all items. I thought the taco could have benefited from a spritz of lemon and I thought the carne asada was a bit dry. The staff were friendly and helpful.

The main dish was good, I was not a fan of their rice or beans. The service was good, we sat out on the patio. The Inside is pretty dark and too warm they need to turn the air conditioning on. I was a little disappointed in the food to be honest, need more flavor.

My family has been coming here for over 20 years because the food has always been delicious and the service has consistently been excellent. That's why this experience was so disappointing. Today, I placed a large to-go order for my family, and while eating, I found a long strand of hair mixed in with the carrots. It completely ruined the meal and raised serious concerns about the restaurant's food preparation and cleanliness. After being loyal customers for more than two decades, I never expected something like this to happen. It's unfortunate because we've always enjoyed dining here, but this experience has changed our opinion. Sadly, we won't be returning. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and improves its quality control so other customers don't have the same experience.

First of all, I have to give this place a high rating just on service alone. It was one of the best customer service experiences I've had in a long time. They anticipated our needs before we knew we had them. Bravo. Now, the food: Usually the chicken in dishes is so dry that I rarely get it. One I our party got a chicken enchilada and I had no idea a restaurant could nail good chicken anymore. So tasty. The verde sauce was delicious. We were told this was the place to get chile rellenos. For us, it was okay but the person in our group said it wasn't quite up to the usual level but I would try it again. Everything else was delicious that we tried. We enjoyed taking the two salsas, the one with your chips, and combining. It was the perfect combo. Enjoy

Came for lunch on 2/13/26 and everything was great as usual. Service was great, friendly staff, delicious food. We always order the Don Antonio's house special which comes with chile relleno, hard shell taco and enchilada, rice and beans. My daughter liked the asada quesadilla. Salsa is spicy for us but when mixed with their mild salsa, then it's perfect! Always good times at DA's! Ambiance is relaxing.

We showed up as a large group and were quickly seated, the staff were very friendly and our server was AMAZING! Super friendly. We got to sit outside and it was a great with the heaters on. I didn't get to venture inside but I enjoyed the vibe here. I put 4 stars because the food was good but not great, definitely some better options in the area but nonetheless, will probably be back when I'm looking for a quick and casual dinner

Don Antonio's did an amazing job again just like everytime I've been here! Came here for cinco de mayo. We were easily sat since we came when the restaurant first opened and was able to get a great spot outside. The food here is always amazing and the portions are great! Definitely recommend!

My go-to Mexican restaurant in the neighborhood! Everytime I come here the food is excellent and satisfies all of my cravings. With a wide variety on the menu, this place is for everyone. I always get the combination plate with a cheese enchilada and a hard shell beef taco (comes with rice and beans). The cheese quesadilla is also to die for! This place can get busy so expect a wait if you are a bigger party or coming at a peak time. During my last experience here, the hostess sat other parties before us and left us outside in the cold which was disappointing. Our server was not welcoming at all and took our menus before we were even done ordering, seemed like he could care less about our table. There is a very small parking lot in the back but I usually street park on Pico. Free chips and salsa when you dine in! Menu, pricing, and freshness is all perfect, service could be improved. Overall I still love this place so it's an easy 5/5 for me!

Parking in a lot or valet?

Street parking is your best bet. Only a few spots in the back to park.

The enchiladas are very good, and the tacos are tasty too. And the service is great!

Is Taco Wednesdays still a thing?

    No, not anymore. :(

    Do they take reservation's?

No unless you have an event there. But lines are quick there

    Do they make fresh tortillas?

    No..

Do They Have Live Music What Days And Time?

    No live music.

    Do they offer delivery here?

    No they don't.

    Do they do taco Tuesdays?

When I first arrived, I gave them the name of our reservation, and the staff had no idea what I was talking about. We were a party of 6, yet they seated us at a tiny table that was clearly not appropriate for our group. When it was time to order, my husband very clearly told the waiter which pasta he wanted and even showed him a picture of the item on the menu. The waiter looked at it and agreed. My food came out, but my husband's food never did. We eventually found out that his order was never even put in. What made it worse was when the waiter came out saying, "Oh my God, I thought you said you didn't want it." Everyone at the table looked at him completely confused because my husband had literally told him what he wanted and showed him the menu item. Instead of simply acknowledging the mistake and fixing it, we were left waiting. On top of that, trying to get anyone's attention was nearly impossible. We had to repeatedly try to get someone's attention just to get basic service. Then there was another issue with the entrance fee. My sister-in-law had messages showing that we were told that if we ate at the restaurant, we would no longer have to pay the entrance fee. We showed those messages to the woman handling the wristbands, but instead of looking into it or speaking to someone who could clarify the situation, she simply said, "I don't know, you have to pay." No attempt was made to investigate or resolve the issue. After everything that happened, they still added a tip to the bill, despite the extremely poor service we received. Overall, this was one of the most frustrating restaurant experiences I've had. Poor communication, poor service, lack of organization, and no effort to make things right. I definitely will not be recommending this place to anyone, and we will not be returning.

We had to get the Michelada Oysters again because I had been craving them since our last visit. They were just as amazing as I remembered--fresh, perfectly seasoned, and seriously addicting. For Dine LA, I started with the Tostada Campechana, which was like an elevated ceviche with scallops, tuna, yellowtail, avocado, and a citrus sesame sauce. Everything tasted super fresh and the citrus gave it the perfect balance. The Bone Marrow Mole was rich, flavorful, and came with a generous portion and toast. For my main course, I had the skirt steak, which was cooked perfectly--tender, well-seasoned, and delicious with the green sauce. The homemade tortillas were amazing too. We ended with the Dulce de Leche Panna Cotta, and it was the perfect finish--creamy, smooth, not overly sweet, and so good we practically cleaned the plate. Since they live in an area with limited Mexican cuisine, I chose Guelaguetza, a James Beard Award-winning restaurant with authentic Oaxacan recipes, something completely new to them. They were excited to try something different, as they don't have many Mexican food options where they live, and I wanted to expand their culinary horizons. We were greeted with complimentary chips - some were drizzled with mole and Oaxacan cheese, which we requested refills of, and others were served with red and green salsas. The green salsa had a nice kick to it. For our meal, we shared two large dishes: the Festival de Moles ($53.00) and the Tlayuda Guelaguetza ($27.50). The Tlayuda Guelaguetza, which is also called a Mexican pizza, was layered with bean and chicharron spread, queso fresco, cabbage, quesillo, beef tasajo, pork Cecina, and pork chorizo. While I've always wanted to try Tlayuda, this one wasn't good, and I wouldn't recommend it. The pork chorizo was particularly unappetizing, and neither my parents nor I enjoyed the dish, feeling it was a waste of money. The Festival de Moles ($53.00) featured four individual moles - negro, rojo, coloradito, and estofado - with a choice of shredded chicken breast or pork spare ribs. We opted for a mix of both and found this dish to be excellent, and we would definitely order it again. They were very impressed with the moles, and enjoyed them for the first time. The only minor complaint was a lack of tortillas to dip with the mole, though they did provide some rice. We ordered several drinks, which significantly increased the bill. I was surprised we spent $200 on lunch for three people with only two meals. I started with the Pasion De Oaxaca ($16.00), a mezcal, tequila, passion fruit, grapefruit juice, and tajin cocktail that was excellent, perfectly balanced, strong, but not too sweet. For my second drink, I had the refreshing Aquas Frescas - Jamaica ($6), which was perfect after my meal. I even took it to go, and they kindly provided a cup. My dad ended up taking it, as he needed it with his medication (they're old!). My parents, who were trying mole for the first time, were very impressed and really enjoyed it. Our only minor complaint was the lack of tortillas to dip in the mole, although they did provide some rice. The food took a little longer to come out, even though the restaurant wasn't busy. I imagine this type of cuisine is labor-intensive, and you can't rush the cooking time for mole. You just have to trust the process! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Guelaguetza Restaurante and will definitely be back. I can see why they're a James Beard Award-winning restaurant; you can get authentic Oaxacan flavors in LA! We're lucky to live here.
